Oh ... wow. Things are getting really trippy in here and really confused. How many bishops are there?

Pretty sure there's only two: a real one and an impostor.
Whelp, glad I'm not the only one to think of Highlander. On another note: Looks like we're going to have the classic 'doppelganger dilemma' coming up in the near future.
I have never heard of Highlander , is it a book , comic ... etc .

That's not your place to criticise. See Rule X.
Yes, it is a large sig, but a much better way of approaching it (given that, if Spirit changes his or her sig, it'll change here, and hence your post will be irrelevant) would be to either message a mod, or message Spirit and politely suggest that their sig might be a little large, and hence they might want to think about either posting more post, so the comparison is less obvious, or doing something about the sig...
According to DMFA, shape shifters (at least cubi) revert to their original shape when unconscious. Which would seem to mean that the people on the floor were either faking injuries or were not shape changers.
However, I am confused. Are we looking at two or three individuals who look like the bishop. In frame five of the latest strip, is the image of the bishop in vestments a painting, a memory, or actually viewing another person. There is also the possibility of twins and triplets.

When this was originally written it was believed that 'Cubi who had prepared themselves suitably could prevent themselves losing the shift. As a workaround I decided that the archbishop(s) in this story ended up concussed but remained sufficiently conscious to retain their disguise if they had one (e.g. the groan in the previous page)

According to Ambaargh, who was questioned about it at the time, it is _possible_ for shapeshifters to set a shape to hold even when unconscious. Abel didn't go to the effort to set that hold, at that time; Aniz (in the guise of Cid) did, for comparison.
