Title: Drawing Under the Influence Comic
Post by: HoneyBadger on November 21, 2013, 10:06:56 AM
Hello everyone, I don't know if a lot of people remember the comic, Drawing Under the Influence, but I'm curious to know why the artist hasn't updated in quite a while.

Can anyone help me please?

I'm curious too, I liked the comic and was interesting in where it was going but it stopped kinda abruptly.

Yeah... it sure did.  I wonder what happened to the author?

The other day, I did a lot of searching for the artist's name on Google and any other website that I hoped would give me a lead, I did find this information on WikiFur -> http://en.wikifur.com/wiki/Drawing_Under_the_Influences , but sadly there was no new information regarding the artist or her friends.

I think I found WhiskerWing  on Flickr.com which is here:  http://tamimoore.com/  and her DA page here:  http://tamimoore.com/    However, I'm not entirely sure this is the right artist or not but I'll, with everyone's help, keep looking for the three original artists.

I found the artist!  She even has a link on her last journal entry leading to her comic!  And here it is:  http://jenkesh1.deviantart.com/

... given there's been no posts of art on that account since September 2010, and no other visible activity for a while, I'd say the horse has definitely bolted there. You could email the account, of course, and see if you get a response...

Hmmm...I guess it wouldn't hurt to try.   Or, I can e-mail her by using her website's e-mail address and see if she will respond from there.

If you do get a response, it'd be nice to see what happened to the comic. It was one of those I enjoyed watching...

theres a great many comics that just taper off, the creator may have gotten buisy, depressed, lost interest, assumed their audience lost interest (thats why its important to tell a creator you are enjoying their stuff), died, or gotten a sudden case of the too poor to afford a scanner+internet+graphical art program.

heck sometime go to the belfry webcomic index and check the extensive 'lost' section. about how many the entire website just kind of dissolved in addition to the 'inactive' which is a nebulous area of who knows
