Title: 2013/07/23 [TanP #35] - Guilty until proven innocent
Post by: Eboreg on July 22, 2013, 09:14:04 PM
Yeah, I have to say that that guy really f***ed up. Nearly executing your king's right hand man unlawfully especially when the king was outright against the death penalty is not going to go over well with anyone. Still, I'm feeling kind of sorry for Yak(ovlev) here, especially since he is most likely facing the kind of mob justice that George Zimmerman is right now. You know, how despite the fact that you can't rightfully convict a guy, a large group of angry people is crying for blood and his release may set off riots.

Mmm.

Trial is supposed to identify guilt, not merely be a mockery of a prejudgement.

That would explain why Page punched his clock before he went to see Jakob...Does that also count as his receiving his walking papers?

I'd like to think it would signify such a thing....if the guy could walk after a hit like that.

Poor, poor Jakob, *Inappropriate Soap Joke* At least we know that he'll get out of this and on good terms cause our timber wolf incubus went berserk when Lord Page got offed.
