Hidden reference away! Looks like someone is playing "Invisible man" and knocking people out. I will note that head-clunking can have some pretty serious long-term side effects mostly involving brain damage and the best way to take someone out from that angle is a sleeper choke. If you're in front, then a good enough whack across the jaw can also do wonders. Nevertheless, whatever is going on here is not good.

With a Demon you have to take them out unawares. If they realise they're being attacked, they'll harden their skin and most of these attacks won't work. Since we can't see the attacker it's possible that the takedown is magic-assisted...
