Title: The Book Game!
Post by: Liatai on January 13, 2013, 07:56:53 PM
Hey all! Let's play a game.  :3

It's simple; someone posts a page number, a paragraph number, and a sentence number. You just take a book near you -- a textbook, a novel, a rulebook, a cookbook, a field guide, whatever you have nearby -- and open it to said page, look for that paragraph and that sentence within that paragraph, and type the line you see. Then, pick another page, paragraph, and sentence for someone else to report!

We might as well start at the beginning, so here goes...

"They are potentials, or integrals." (The Left Hand of Darkness by Ursula K. Le Guin, Ace edition, 1969).

It took me a while to find a book in English in this room.

QuoteCreatures that are affected by this power or that successfully save against it cannot be affected again by the same hag's horrific appearance for 24 hours.
Dungeons and Dragons 3.5 Monster Manual, description of the sea hag's abilities. The first book I reached for only had three very long paragraphs on page 144. :animesweat

One afternoon, a sudden hailstorm blew in from the kells.

Oh no, spoilers! I hadn't actually gotten that far into Son of a Witch by Gregory Maguire yet, and now I know there's going to be a hailstorm :/

1, 2, 3... go!
