Or... they could give the sword to Golem now and he will give it to Alec in the future.

Though is that reliable?

If Golem had to be repaired and upgraded in the future, then it might be possible that someone might take it from him after they step over his broken pieces.

I think Alec might be more reliable. Not that someone else can't find Alec's hiding place and send present heroes or future heroes on a search for Alec's stolen sword.

Technically... If they have done that, Golem would have handed the sword already. So it would create a time paradox. Since future Golem shows no knowledge of the time sword.
