Title: [27-08-2012] [FILLER] Pink Sticky Notes
Post by: lilpuppy23 on August 28, 2012, 11:28:17 PM
It's Tuesday, and I'm suprised nobody started the topic yet, so here I am, the lurker starting it. Oh well.

I'm sure we've all had moments like this, right? You're doing something, then Mr. Murphy stops by for a visit, and next thing you know;
A) You forgot what you were doing
B) You forgot to do something for someone else
C) A combination of the above
D) Other

On a separate note, I don't know why so many people buy special paper just for drawing and comics and whatnot. I just use standard 8 1/2" x 11" printer paper for everything. Mind you, I have yet to publish a webcomic, not to mention my deviantart gallery leaves much to be desired, but still.

Quote from: RANT O' UPDATEFriday should be fun. And full of adventure. ADVENTURE.
Yep, Abel in action.  And then Jyrras will become involved.  Which will bring Romance.  And MAD SCIENCE!

With regards,
Ted

I think it works better because it's thicker and takes the ink better, but I'm not sure.
I can say that when I went to AC2007, I quickly grabbed the first thing I could find which wasn't ruled to use as a sketchbook and the artists were all 'Ewww' and struggled with it.  The following year I brought a proper sketchpad using the thick stuff that Amber draws on, and everyone was much happier with it.

Adventure, romance, and MAD SCIENCE?

...so when does Jyrras find out Moira is the scion of aristocratic lunatics?  And what are the odds laid on Jyrras/Abel/Lorenda?

this is true.

All paper bleeds, or soaks ink up like a sponge. usually the good paper is of heavier weight that doesn't soak up nearly as much ink, and doesn't spread out from the initial point where you draw it.
I dunno what amber draws with, but i can assume they're pigment ink pens like microns, zig millenniums or PITT type archival pens. however some artists use technical pens, dip pens, and so on that use inks with different properties and drying times, mitigating bleed especially on heavier use of the black stuff often helps. \
This is why Manga artists use specialised paper i might add.

I rather like the comic on numerous sticky notes. Perhaps this is a crazy new style that Ambaaargh can capitalise on...somehow...even though she can not capitalise on her comic...

...Curse you logic!

Can anyone link the filler in question? I seem to have missed it.

Thanks.

I think it's adorable! Besides, how else am I suppose to draw at work when I should be titrating?
