Title: 30/03/2012 [DMFA#1296] Murderous cleanup time.
Post by: MT Hazard on March 29, 2012, 10:21:47 PM
Looks like D.P has found new reason to hate and destroy the undead, might be time for Dan to step in again.

I'm guessing the last panel is Lore seeing the wing specialist?

Is it just me, or did Regina have a Gir moment? Both in the fact that something precious to her was taken/destroyed and that she's getting excited over some doom that's going to go down (And hard. DP doesn't look too happy in that first panel).

I'd say Kria would probably object to that.  To the tune of not resurrecting him the next time he gets killed.

The Creature Council, though... having one of their councillors murdered?  I can see DP getting a bounty the size of Zinvth's GDP on his head.

DP will have most of a month first, though.  If he knows a way to pinpoint them, he could get quite far before Dan is let out again (and/or other people try to stop him).  Amber did claim at one point that a couple of races would become extinct, likely over the course of DMFA.  It wouldn't entirely surprise me if the undead was one of those.

Nah, that would be her new employer, I'd say.  (FWIW, 'Lore' was a cameo character, the abbreviation confused me for a moment...)

Hmm, is there an undead Councillor? I'd thought they didn't really bother recognising the undead?

That said, it's amusing how minor things can sometimes be the tipping point when one is deciding on a course of action.

...I'd say that's probably Rachel.  The left arm is more whole than in the Undead page, but hey, art drift.  Or she could just be wearing a sleeve.

It looks like my prediction of DP going on a undead super model rampage is becoming reality...\

And good riddance!  >:3

Actually the demonology pages make it sound like 'Were' and 'dragons' are more likely not to attend the creature council meetings...

Edit: Though from the look of it http://missmab.com/Comics/Vol_365.php Dragons do attend. Though one could wonder which group they represent? The isolationists or the ones that do deal with beings and creatures?

*Charline hmphs*  DP is such a hypocrite!  He'd be classified as undead himself depending on which universe he's in at the time, given how many times he's be resurrected!  Heck, some dimensions classify you as undead after just one time!

And... ooo... is that a naga I see?  Can't tell for sure yet.  I must make sure she and Jyrras meet!  *nagas LOVE rodents!  As snacks!*  >:3

Um, it has been mentioned before that some Mythos look like other things.  I seem to recall there being a Mythos that greatly resembled a dragon (to me at least) at Saia when Abel was dragging Dan around.

Is there anywhere that states it is a dragon?  Or Word-of-Artist?

In case anyone was wondering where Lorenda is at:  http://www.missmab.com/Comics/Vol_762.php (http://www.missmab.com/Comics/Vol_762.php)

As for dragons, they're on the creature council.

Too tired to dig up the source atm, but I've been pretty sure for a while now that Biggs is the Were representative.

This got my brain into thought-jumping mode.

1. Guess it's time for Dan to handle DP again.
2. Is it sexist of me to think it will be DAN doing it?
....
3. Many of the female characters could do it, but how many of the main cast females are (proffesional) adventurers?
3.1 Guess many of them would come along tho..

Due to Dan being at the academy, and that they may have made a don't kill treaty at the party, I think it probably won't be Dan stopping DP...

I don't know that Dan would be able to leave anyway.  Fa'Lina has total control of who enters and leaves which is why the Dragons can't attack it.  If said Dragons have worked out where Dan lives, he could end up stuck at SAIA for his own safety.

EDIT: That and taking on DP without basic 'Cubi training is what almost got him killed last time.

He promised not to kill Regina (http://www.missmab.com/Comics/Vol_1206.php), be didn't promise anyone that he wouldn't  kill D.P.

I wonder if we'll be seeing more of Rachel and Moira if this becomes a huge story arc?

She is an old friend of Moira and Jyrras is Miora's son. Could Jyrras's little toys come into effect faster then anyone hypothesises?

So, DP providing a bit of beefcake in the first panel. Well, in all fairness, Regina has been giving us some cheesecake for the past couple of strips, so I suppose it's all fair.

Somehow, I very much doubt Dan is going to be doing much about DP unless DP's plot is grandiose enough that it takes over a month to complete. Which, knowing DP, is entirely likely. Meanwhile, he'll be Powering Up by learning how to use his Cubi Tricks. Oh, and let's not forget... DP has gotten on the 'excrement' list of BOTH of Cyra's remaining decedents. Since I'm sure she doesn't want to pull a Fa'lina and be a clanless clan leader, this might bode exceedingly ill for him. It is unwise for even a powerful dragon to piss off a Cubi Clan Leader. DP is... considerably lower powered than that.

And, to those who refer to Dan promising to not kill Regina... may I point out that he made no such promise concerning DP, and that furthermore a certain ferret would probably be very grateful that he has voluntarily stepped aside to let her take care of the matter. I don't know about you, but I'd prefer Dan coming for me. At least he would simply kill me cleanly. She might decide to take her time about it...

Although, to be honest, Dan would probably be right behind any push to destroy undead, considering his Adventuring background. Undead tend to be seen as threats to the common good to those sorts. As long as it wasn't DP openly making said push, which Dan would oppose just because... well... it's DP... and he's stubborn like that.

Besides, Dan might be making all sorts of friends/allies. I'd love to see a matchup between Quill and DP, for example. Or quite possibly worse... if Quill thought DP's shirtless looks were handsome. After all, no one gets between Quill and snuggles.

Ahh well, enough with my rambling and tinfoil-hat discussing.

Dan shall learn to control his Cubi side such that when he engages DP next time, he'll be able to keep his Hollow mask on for longer than 11 seconds as a Visored!  (Charles has been inhaling lab fumes again...)
