It's a rule: if a villain is sleeping while the protagonist breaks into his place, he wakes up.
Anyhow, this can't end well... for the king that is.

Maybe this king will turn out to already be a cubi in disguise. It's not that much of a stretch in this world, but it would still be funny.
I should point out that Jakob's thoughts in the first panel are wishful thinking or a daydream, not his actual plans. It didn't translate very well into a webcomic medium.
That is one impressively pissed off king. :razz
And it is interesting to see that despite wanting to put it behind him, Jakob's past life still calls to him...even if it is wishful thinking. :.
