Now let's see if this good deed goes unpunished, and a demon adventurer at that.
This chapter was originally going to have 12 pages, but we've decided to spread it out a bit more - it was kind of Wall-o-text in its original form, so it looks like it'll be 14 instead.
Will there be more chapters centered around page? I'm very interested in his rise to power.

Originally it was going to be two chapters, but it kind of spun into three. There's still a few gaps in the third chapter which I'm having problems with, but they cover three distinct eras of his life so that's probably the best way to do it.
The second chapter covers his rise to power.
ok, thanks
Interesting that we haven't see the eyes of the new speaker yet.
It almost makes me wonder if it's not the eyes that are being hidden from the viewer, but the top of the head. The village Page grew up in considered angels 'demons' as well, or at least close enough that charms to subdue demons would work on them (http://www.project-future.org/azrael.php?strip=7); it's not outside of the realm of possibility that a 'cubi could be mistaken for one by Page at this point in time. Though, granted, a 'cubi probably wouldn't have their headwings out while on the job... Pardon my random conjecture. :.
Yes, Cubi could even shapeshift their head-wings into horns in order to pull pulling the Demon bluff. But it was an interesting theory anyway. And I suppose that a Cubi may not even bother bluffing if he or she perceives that the opponent is young and inexperienced.
I'm also wondering if it's a 'cubi. Hiding the face (or most of it) would typically imply that the character is someone we would recognize. Of course, in this case, the purple fur would be a dead giveaway if that was the case, so more likely it's someTHING we would recognize... like a 'cubi with l'il headwings. Or maybe it's just for dramatic effect. :3 I'm curious to see how this turns out either way.
