He might well be right, actually. Town full of Beings doesn't have to be very old in Angel terms for it to be well-established in Being terms.
Also, standing around near the defensive wall wearing bright shining white feathers all over your back is not a good way to avoid attention... ;-]
I'd have to agree with Llearch.
Though knowing Angel's of what has been explained thus far. I wouldn't be surprised if his father was a founding member of this town.
