I wonder if Raewyn is so interested in her slaves from the different countries is because she wants to gradually breed in that magic into the houses of her nation to resto.
But dealing with magic and politics, I can see why Moraine would need more informing information. The queen doesn't need a new distraction from a power she can't control with all the other problems they already have working against them.
