So, Darkmoon brought up (And Amber posted) the issue of what to call a group of mows. So far, she's suggested:
A Pack of Mows
A Mob of Mows
A Hunger of Mows
A Fluff of Mows
I'd like to know if anybody else has any suggestions. Personally, I like the sound of
A Meep of Mows.
But I know we can come up with something good.
I dunno, but they always seem to pile up all over the place, so perhaps that's the right denominator ?
Anyways, at least it's not another cliffhanger (http://www.astray3.com/2011/07/01/a303060307-y5t2/). :D
Shame on you, science.
...A Shame of Mows?
*cough* Just fyi, I did today's comic.

I was wondering about that when I read this thread.
I could think of a few things to call a group of Mows.
"A plague of Mows."
"A ball of Mows."
"A Mab of Mows."
"A Glomp of Mows."
Still, shame on science indeed. Must we do everything for science? :rolleyes
How about a Blizzard of Mows
A disaster.
i like a meep of mows too. rolls off the tongue.
if there's need for more filler art, i just finished this one up:

The English language has some weird collective nouns...
It's funny because I was there when the subject came up at AC. Someone asked whether a picture contained one mow in different positions or a group of mows. The answer was a group... or a dazzle, or...
...And so it began.
I like a dazzle, a fluff or a meep.
A fluff sounds about right.
Or maybe an invasion. Or a wave. Or a smother, perhaps?

I didn't not know there was a discussion on this topic. I just felt like drawing a mow, and then went with it. ;)
A "doom" of mows came to mind for some reason for me. I do like "dazzle" and "meep" though too.
A mosey of mows.
With regards,
Ted
I'm going to say a Munch of Mows.
Seems appropriate. (http://missmab.com/Comics/Vol_363.php) Munch munch munch!
I liked joshofspam's "glomp" of mows... that sounds cool. :mowwink
My other favorites:
Gaggle of mows (like geese)
Swoop of mows
Blanket of mows
Ohmgawd of mows (as in "Oh my gawd!")
Mabpile of mows

And you did a lovely job of it. :)
Here is a decently sized Buffet of collective nouns to help everyone.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_collective_nouns (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_collective_nouns)
Enjoy!
A Mob of Mows.
Maybe a "murder of Mows", like a murder of crows.
A mass of mows, a terror of mows, a mob of mows....
I have to admit, a meep of mows has a certain ring to it.
Also, thank you Darkmoon.
A hekuvalota Mows.
I dunno, I like the sound of the much more common 'bunch'.
As in 'A bunch of Mows.'
It also has a dual meaning. :P
Since they are eating machines, how about a brunch of Mows
I am feeling a bit silly today so I would like to suggest
A mow of mows.
A lawn of mows.
A large group of mows would look like a purple lawn, but mostly because "lawn the mow" is delicious Engrish.

This. Win.
A dilemma of mows.
A quandry of mows.
A squee of mows.
I like lilpuppy23's indirect suggestion as well:
A buffet of mows
And this is pretty awesome as well

In My Little Pony they just call it a swarm? :B
...There are mows in My Little Pony? O.o
i hope not, i'd hate to see amber getting ripped off by a syndicated hyper-popular show. :\ it wouldn't do much for my opinion of the show.
What about a Batch of Mows?
They like to snack, and cookies and brownies come in batches. Sort of a play off of when Mab gave them cookies while her friends were getting attacked by them and Mab's ever infamous Brownies.
A lawn of mows is an inspired idea, well done Kasarn :)

The parasprites from 'Swarm of the Century' look and act just like mows without the tail and antennae. I'm pretty sure they're supposed to be ripping off Tribbles, though.
Yep, I went and looked it up on YouTube. The parasprites are more insect-like than mows, they reproduce by vomiting, and before a badly-chosen magic spell turned them into "anything but food" eaters, they ate normal foods.
Still, a "swarm of mows" works for me, or maybe a "cloud of mows".
Ok, this is going to be on my mind for days now. Thanks.
Hmm, a gaggle of Fraggles and a Cloud of Mows. Two forces of cute destruction.
Well, obviously it's a Mab of mows. :mowninja
WAIT! I'VE GOT IT!
What's the collective noun they used for the Tribbles? We'll just steal that! :mwaha

It is not stealing, it is acquireing. :mowninja (Besides the Trekkies probably stole it first) :mowcookie
What ever it may be :mowsad

I'm very sure that'd be a Kirk of Tribbles :P
I don't recall them using any particular name for a group of tribbles.
I still think a Lawn of Mows is brilliant. :)
Well, the episode was The Trouble with Tribbles, so I suppose that a group could be called a trouble.
However, while thinking about it, I came across this. Please look at the catchphrase under the box. I wonder if the copywriter was at Anthrocon. (http://www.thinkgeek.com/stuff/41/tribbles-and-bits.shtml)

Eh, Demons probably called a bunch of them Giblets before they found out they couldn't die and thus where non-digestible.
Though I can't think if that would be so terrible for a Demon to pop two down the hatch. Talk about a empty calorie meal. Ehhhh, the less thought about that the better I think.

Thanks, now my mind is calculating the amount of fiber needed to, and the pain experienced, to pass a couple of mows.

Hmmmm... It might require less fiber and pain then we may think.
Chances are that Mows would probably chose if they want to leave or not. With Mows loving to give huggles, I have more of a picture of a demon running around uncontrolably laughing while yelling about them hugging their inside.
P.S. And yes. I was thinking about Kria and DP running around like silly goobers screaming about having their spleen, kindneys, bladder and liver mow huggled.

A lawn of mows.
Wait, is mow (this kind :mowsmile) pronounced like "mow" in "mow the lawn"? For some reason I imagined it pronounced to rhyme with "cow", so that the pronunciation would approximate "Mao", or "meow" without the "e".
I think this means I should listen to the radio show so that I know how things are pronounced. :)

Except that the radio show is based on the approximations of other users and their guess is as good as yours. ;)
That said, when speaking to Mab, I seem to recall her pronouncing them as you have imagined.
It's mow, with a soft o. So not as in "mow the lawn", but more like "the cat said 'meow'" just without the "e" sound.
So... a cat of mows?
Let's get dramatic! A STORM OF MOWS!
Okay, enough dramatic...
A buzz of Mows?
A giggle of Mows?
A wander of Mows?
Hmmm, I'd have to say 'a hunger of mows' or 'a hover of mows' are my favorites :3
That's it I'm ending this once and for all :batman. Since the Mows seem to be the bastard offspring of Mab and Tribble, I say we call a group a 'Kirk of Mows" :mowtongue
I'll just sit under this rock and avoid the rain of anvils. :mowdizzy
