Hahaha, oh Abel... :3
If you keep shirking from your duties, Alexsi will teach introduce you to the phrase "hammer time." >:3
Somehow I had a feeling this might happen. A lot depends on whether Alexsi has taken into account the fact that he's still technically a student.
EDIT: Guess there's no internet access in SAIA...
Whelp it looks like Fa'lina's plans for Abel have just started to become more apparent. First she sets him as advisor to the son of the being that took out his father and the creature whose heart his father broke, then she makes him deal with people that he can't scare into insanity like his roommates so he actually lives a life and not just sit on his ass doing nothing but feeling sorry for himself for the next couple of millennia. All I can say is Amber has mastered the art of the long game in storytelling. Bravo Amber, Bravo. :hug

I guess if Abel wants to leave, he'll have to find someone to replace him. Though that might be a difficult task, considering who the proprietor of the inn is :U

they don't want the students playing 'angry birds' all day long.
The expression of horror on Abel's face........ :zombiekun2
Oh Lady Amber, thank you. It never gets old.
The look on Abels face has so many levels and variants of Oh Shit on it that it is beyond hilarious.
The expressions in the last panel really sell it. I'm starting to like the relationship those two have. It really adds to the story.
The comic is funny as a whole, but damn do I love Dan in the last panel! :mwaha

Hee... internet is bad enough for regular students, never mind cubi with their attention span.
Makes me think.... i wonder at what pace the lectures go. I mean, if they are to keep students' attention, to a non-cubi it'd probably seem almost fast-forwarded, to maintain sufficient information flow.
for some reason i can almost hear Dan thinking. "Well able you know my family my mom and grandma as least so when will you realize you need to beware my older sister? "

I concur. Amber, we enjoy watching the verbal tango between Abel and Dan as much as you enjoy writing it, so definately keep it up. Haha... it's good to see Dan give the "gotcha" to Abel. That last panel needs to be in the big book of expressions next to "scared sh**less". That verbal warning from Alexsi must be on endless loop in his head now. You know, I SHOULD have seen that hiccup in the plan coming, but I didn't. Well played, Amber. >:3
At one point, Abel mentioned that Alexsi was the "Third most terrifying being" that he'd encountered.
Well, let's see.
If we say his father is number one, Destania is number two...
Yeahhhh. Looks like Abel may have to pull some mandatory over-time here.
Now what would be an *interesting* twist would be Abel having to stay back, and Aniz is at the conference and has mellowed out/has a deeper plan/etc and Dan goes "Wow, this guy's pretty cool."

now imagine the yarn ball pit. :U
He could always run.
Then again Saia is connected by the basement road. Alexsi could just have the rats bring her there and drag and, or, chase Abel back with her hammer.
Though sometimes I do wonder if Alexsi and Dan's mom ever offered to have her join the clan?

'Cubi attention spans are the entire reason for TVtropes to exist. :mowmeep
What sells it for me is the fluffed up fur on his shoulders. XD If only we could see his poofy tail.
Just want to say that I am liking Amber's "new art" more and more. Dan looks very good indeed in that last panel. The pose, his musculature, and the smug look on his face, are all excellent. And of course I had to laugh at Abel's expression, especially coming from that smirk in the last panel of the previous strip. Heh. Score one for Dan's side. :-)

I think they keep the internet in the library only.

I think the library is full of decamillennia-old books. It's also possible that if SAIA has a computing department at all, it might still look like this:

(especially if they had БЭСМ as opposed to VAXen)
*pictures the internet as I know it, pictures the SAIA library* ...
You know all things considered I think the SAIA library is the internet. Its full of obscure occult knowledge, porn, and tenticles. :mowdizzy
Just an idle thought, here.
Dan might meet Mink. :P

Well of course! Who else is gonna be his guide buddy if Abel can't come to the Academy? :U
So does this mean Aaryanna would start bothering Dan about embracing his cubi heritage again and maybe trying to get him to take her class?
Could Dan and Mink turn the academy into the Animal House in the course of a month?
Do the Bluto! :zombiekun2

Except that Ainz is dead at Alexsi's mom's hands.
I'm wondering if we are going to see Abel's sibling since he is turning 400. Just becase Antz is dead doesn't mean that he didn't get a chance to sire a child and had it pre-registered to go once the ban is lifted
Not to mention ... will Abel have a birthday party when he turns 400 ? And who will he invite ?

In a cake! >:3
o/` 'Happy birthday, Mr Rewanz!' `\o :giggle
Ah ... he would be in the cake and burst out of it clad in a string bikini, eh ?
And then Abel would have a heart attack.
Well we know that a lot of the invites will be to all of the Warp-Aci in SAIA ... http://www.missmab.com/Comics/Vol_599.php (http://www.missmab.com/Comics/Vol_599.php) in alphabetical order

It might be forced upon him by his new friends. I think Mink would attend. Possibly Fa'lina.
Mink and Fa'Lina are a given .. I would be hard pressed to imagine Abel throwing a party and being able to keep them away from it. :D
Abel doesn't seem the sort who throws parties. Dan, though? Friend of beer wenches? Yeah, Dan can set up Abel's birthday party!
Wacky hijinks may ensue.
