Fridge + Toothbrush.... WHAT DOSE IT MEAN!?!?!?!  D:  lol

10 years ago I was living in a one bedroom apt. in Las Vegas off of Maryland parkway  with my mother, my sister, a dog, and a room mate. believe me when I tell you if ther are more than 5 people living in one place the fridge is always empty except for a hair brush or something equally bizare...

edit: so we're clear the apartment was 1200 sqare feet, it just had one bedroom.

I prefure chex, shreded wheat, and banana nut crunch cearel... My mom like optiimum though
Title: Re: August 9, 2006: Water bug
Post by: Manawolf on August 09, 2006, 12:05:47 AM
Never heard of Optimum, I have to make sure I go to the market with my dad or they just load up on Honey Nut Cheerios.  I'd like a little something more than that every morning with a mascot who dared to utter "Wait!  I'm a bee, and bees fly!"  That currently stands as the stupidest thing ever said on television by a cereal mascot, and that's quite a feat.

Anyway, it's good to have a stocked fridge.  At one point we actually had an overflow of milk cartons.  We have it delivered to our house twice a week, and my parents forgot to cancel a day when I was gone for a few days.

Optimums a healthy cearel,  It's pretty good though it looks like twigs and berries,  It's got dehidrated blueberries in it

She's keen on it but I can't stand blue berries myself

Not much of a breakfast cereal person. Though I developed a liking for plain oatmeal after having my dad forced me to eat it for a month to help "detoxify" my body along with making me drink green tea or Red wine as my "water."
Title: Re: August 9, 2006: Water bug
Post by: Manawolf on August 09, 2006, 12:27:27 AM
How is Red wine going to help detoxify you?  I would think it has the opposite effect, you know, because of the alcohol and what not.
Title: Re: August 9, 2006: Water bug
Post by: Netami on August 09, 2006, 12:31:04 AM
Wine is actually pretty good for you if you just drink a glass a day or so.
Title: Re: August 9, 2006: Water bug
Post by: King Of Hearts on August 09, 2006, 12:44:23 AM
Red Wine is good for the heart and is loaded with flavonoids and red anthocyanin pigments which are anti oxidants. Of course these health benefits will be offset if as Netami has pointed out one consumes red wine in excess.

During those days I only drank one or two glasses a day.

Post by: Reese Tora on August 09, 2006, 02:52:31 AM
Alcohol can certainly be bad for you in large quantities, but a glass of wine a day is good for your heart.

:chrono1

If you drink it with or after food, some of the side effects are mitigated, too, as the food spaces out the amount of alcohol your body absorbs.  Regular wine, in any case, has a fairly low ammount of alcohol, so you would need to drink a fairly large amount before having to worry about the after effects.

Of course, wine that's good can be fairly expensive per bottle, and wine that's bad... well, you couldn't pay me to drink any.

After all that, I must admit that I won't drink alcohol of any sort if I can avoid it, as I don't like the idea of having anything impare my mind.

:chrono2

*Charles notes* I used to have a glass of sweet red wine every night with my secret antioxidant regimen (Muwah ha ha... no one knows about it but me!  >:3  )

But my lab job has cut my budget so much over the past two years that I've had to all but stop the regimen and take the bus every other day to work (and sleep over at night) so now I've begun to age again.   :<

*Charline awws*  Poor Charles.  I'll just eat you and then you'll never have to worry about aging again.

*Charles  :eek * No...no, that's quite alright.  I'll take the grey hair.

*Charline shrugs*  Don't say I never offered my help.  *looks at guest strip*  Ewww!  A big bug!  *SQUISH!!!*

*gives the librarian look* Role-playing, guys...

I used to say that I wouldn't drink anything ever... but a drink every now and again doesn't hurt most people.  It's just knowing how to limit yourself so that you don't go overboard, and knowing if you have the addictive personality to be unable to do so.

On a completely unrelated note, Mana, please remember the little chat you and Darkmoon had.

You actually managed to make me laugh aloud, llearch.  That's a rare occurance.  Not in regards to you but in general.

Then again, it might just be this thread, it's funny watching the crazies do their thing just to guage how everyone reacts to it.

A good (or very bad) psychiatrist would have a field day here.

Oddly, I'd think of that as an accolade, rather than an admonishment.
