Anvils, hmm? Much is explained.
IIRC, Plucky Duck (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_r1knpIlcV8) (showing my age a bit here) suffered a similar demise many years ago...
For Mink however, this is just...inconceivable!
Hope you're feeling better soon Mabby...we all get in a rut now and then :hug

I know how those depressions that come outta nowhere can be. Have a good week Amber.

For a case of "Blah, I don't wanna do anything." I usually pop a nice game into a console...
Two weeks after Abel's Story ended, everyone still alive from the arc who had not yet been seen in DMFA had their souls eaten by Charline, who then became the primary boss villain and battled Dan to the death after he had achieved Super Cubiyan 3, with a power lever OVER 9,000!!! D:

It was Kernel Sanders, in the home-ec class, with the salad shooter!
When was the last time anyone saw a cartoon on TV that used the Anvil gag? (no reruns please)
The virtues Cactus.
Let it's green and thorny hide never blind us to the home it gives to wild life around it or the few beauty given by its flowers that grow once and awhile
Well hope you feel better Amber. :hug
Anvil's are just one of many plot divices of hitting someone with for comic effect. Others include coconuts, as before mentioned pianos, mallets. Of course my favorite was pie.
But those anvils must have been filled with the opposite element of awesome. Does anyone know the opposing force of awesome?

I belive that gag is owned by Acme and no one wants to get sued by them.
Just take your time Amber and do what you have to do to get out of that funk. I get them myself so I know what it is like. I always find that the best thing to do is snuggle with a significant other (when I had one) and watch stupid comedies.

"Conjure Falling Anvil" is an incredibly useful spell that can cause great devastation if wielded by the wrong hands. Clearly, some prankster thought it would be funny to reenact a Road Runner/Wile E. Coyote cartoon without telling the Squiggly about this plan. Not so much a Squiggly as a Squishy then.

I searched through the home site. It's apparently Ultima 6.
Aye, Lord British was well known for throwing anvils.
On the forums too.

It is Ultima 6 - 1990, and one of the first PC games to support full colour and a sound card. (I wasn't really expecting the screenshot to garner quite so much attention)
In this instance the game is in a particularly abnormal state. The king, who is well known for killing the player with a single touch if you steal his mug of ale (after having said that you can help yourself to anything), has been replicated with the Clone spell and IIRC attacked using a crossbow to get him good and angry.
Some of the duplicate kings were then turned to the player's side using the Charm spell. In order to prevent the player dying, the cheat mode (*) was used to summon many anvils to build a fence to protect him from the kings' wrath(s).
(*)The cheatmode was enabled by talking to one of the player's henchmen, Iolo. If you say 'spam' 'spam' 'spam' 'humbug' a menu appears allowing you to create objects and perform various other operations. With some additional utilities to make the objects permanent and a map editor to edit the walls, the cheat mode could be used to create intricate structures and my brother used it to create an entire private castle of his own.

They are
very adept at dodging them. I many, many repetitions of the experiment I never once found a kitten under the anvil, once it had dropped.
The same cannot be said for trampolines, watermelons (titled the Gallagher Experiment) , dollhouses, waterbeds, or inconsiderately parked cars. :P
The Auld Grump, who watched Mink pick up a kitten seconds before his unfortunate accident. However, he firmly believes that both kitten and Mink survived unharmed.

Nah, not enough. Add some automatic machine guns, a few nukes, and maybe some planet busters. Mink needs more firepower to defeat the Anvil Overlords.

I have been converted by the awesomeness of the smiley on the tank.
Might I say, danman, that that was a perfect 666 post for you? =^-^=
Though I still am amused by the thought of Mink picking up a kitten and thus attracting the eyes of the Anvil Gods... naturally, Mink survives as the Kitten Goddess protects her own. ^^;
I'm just surprised that Mink didn't say something along the lines of "The reports of my death have been greatly exargerated". Or perhaps "ANVILS! Puuuulllezzze. I'm too awesome for that!"
Awesome work danman! Now we need to clone more Minks (or "persuade some minions to join our forces) , make more tanks and ammo and we could very well conquer a fair bit of territory.
Long live the Mink Dynasty :D
