There's this one anime that they showed on toonami jetstream a while ago, and I can't remember what it's called. Toonami Jetstream was a site run by Cartoon Network, just in case you might not know.
Well, anyways, the name of the main character of that anime was Zed. He had a powerful wind spirit as his summon/guardian thing.
In the anime, character have strange designs on their body that they can pull magical orbs from, orbs that allow them to summon magic or their spirit guardian.
I don't know too much about this anime, but I hope I gave enough clues for someone to recognise it.
