I was there (http://pbckt.com/ak.0FjeG), watching this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cezoOK3PDNE), among other things.
25th of May, 2010. 200th anniversary of the creation of the first Argentinean government. 3 million people cluttering a few of the streets of downtown Buenos Aires. And I was one of them.
It was all badly organized and chaotic... but it was fun. It was also hard to get back home after the event, but I'm glad I was there. :)
Don't worry if you don't speak Spanish, the images should speak for themselves (and if they don't, ask and I'll explain).
I was also at the reopening ceremony of the Colón theater on Monday. Despite a few technical failures, it was impressive.
Congratulations, Argentina! That is so cool you could be a part of this once-ever event!
Indeed. :)
My friend has sent me more photos (http://s52.photobucket.com/albums/g26/Gliynn/Bicentenario%2025-5-2010/?start=20).
On 25th may i was walking around cambridge with a towel on my shoulder.... ITD rules!
I was stuffing my face full of my leftover birthday cake.
Glad to hear you had fun Gabi!
