A few days ago, I got curious (as I often do) and started looking to see if anyone had made a program to let people play Apples to Apples over the internet. It turns out the fine folks at sandyapples.com (http://www.sandyapples.com/) have made a module for the VASSAL engine (http://www.vassalengine.org/community/index.php?option=com_welcome&Itemid=25) (a Java program which, hopefully, should work on any OS) that lets people do just that.
Then, I remembered a little variant that a few roleplaying friends and I used to play...
IC Apples to Apples. The name is self-explanatory; pick a character of yours, from any roleplay, world, story, comic, what have you, and play Apples to Apples in-character. (The game takes place "backstage," in a sense, so nothing that happens in the game will affect anything in the story/game/comic/what have you that the character is from. It's all silly, pretendy-fun-time-games stuff.) The VASSAL engine has a built-in chat function... So, I thought I would ask if anyone might be interested in setting up/playing in a game or two. We could use this thread like the D&D thread (http://clockworkmansion.com/forum/index.php/topic,6917.0.html) on this same forum, to find groups and set up games.
Current Games
- Hosted by Liatai: Thursday, June 8, Basic Card Set, 8:00 PM GMT. The theme is Old Characters. Who was the first character you created that you still feel comfortable writing for? Bring him or her out to play!
For those not familiar with the game, Apples to Apples (http://www.boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/74/apples-to-apples) is a card game based on comparisons. There are two decks of cards; red cards, which are nouns, and green cards, which are adjectives. You need a minimum of four players. In standard play, everyone draws seven red cards for their hand. One player is the judge. The judge draws a green card from the deck and places it face-up on the table. Let's say, for example, that the green card says "Dainty." Every player (except for the judge) takes a red card from their hand that they think is "dainty" and places it face-down on the table.
When everyone has played, the judge picks up the cards and lays them face-up on the table. (Most people read the cards aloud as they place them face-up, but it's not a requirement. ;)) Let's say that the red cards played were "Helen Keller," "Lace," "Tea Parties," and "Birds." The judge would pick whichever red card he/she thinks matches the green card best, i.e. which is the most "dainty." Whoever played the red card that the judge picks gets the green card. Everyone then draws until they have seven cards again, and then the next player becomes the judge. The goal is to get a certain number of green cards; the first person to reach that number of green cards wins the game. The number of required cards depends on how many people are playing; the online version can have up to 8 players.
Playing in-character is a fun little character-building exercise, since you never know what's going to come up. What does your character think is "unscrupulous?" Say your character is the judge for a round. Which does your character think is more "aged;" "Owls," "Violins," "Prickly Pears," or "Cheese?" If your character's hand contains nothing that jumps out at someone as being "fast," which card would he/she play? How would he/she try to convince the judge that his/her card is best? (That's half the fun, after all!) Even if you've played/written for the character for years, sometimes the game will make you think about an aspect of him/her that you hadn't given much thought to before. (Plus, it's fun to just bounce characters off of each other and see what happens. :razz)
There are also variants like "Apple Turnovers" (in which the roles of green and red cards are reversed) and "Crab Apples" (in which you try to play the red card that is
least like the green card), all of which can be played in-character. The Wikipedia page (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apples_to_Apples) for Apples to Apples has more information.
There are a few optional rule changes for IC Apples to Apples concerning person and place cards (cards like "Michael Jackson" and "Rome") if said person/place doesn't exist in the character's world....
- You can play the cards straight and use your character's confusion as a roleplaying hook, or just assume that the character knows who/what it is if it would be IC for them to know it.
- If the character has an analogous person/place in his/her world, then you can play that card as though it describes that person/place. (Your character might need to explain it to the other people at the table, though, and you'll need to tell the other players in an out-of-character way what the card is supposed to say.)
- Treat the card as a "blank card." In the real version of the game, there are blank cards which can be filled in to say anything you like. The virtual version has no such cards, but we could use the person/place cards in a similar way. (If groups continue to meet, they could build up their own lists of substitutions over time; like, say, "Teddy Roosevelt" is always "Teddy Bears" in one group, or it might be "World Domination" or "Mythos" in another.)
- Any person/place cards are just discarded. The person gets to draw another card until he/she has no person/place cards.
- ... Some other variant that I haven't thought of.
I personally lean toward number 3 when I play, but it's really up to the people playing the game which variant they go for. Different groups could also develop their own "house rules;" for example, among some of the friends I play with, "Pirates," "Ninjas," and "Helen Keller" are trump cards that automatically win any hand.
So! Anyone interested?
I hereby express interest! >:D
(pokes her head in) Can't say I don't love this game. I'll think about it. :3
This seems quite interesting.
This is the BEST idea, I want in.
i express interest conditionally....if my computer can handle it without a hissy im in.
I think it's time that we start setting up some games, then! :smile
I know I'd be happy to host a game sometime this week using the basic set of cards; is there a day/time that works well for people? I'm pretty much good for anything that isn't between 2 AM and 6 AM EDT, although nights (past 7 or 8 PM EDT) would probably work best.
My internet is a bit iffy at times, but if I can I'd like to get in, we used to play that game in my ap english class. I'll probably be able to play on the weekends though.
The best time for me would be sometime after 5pm, CST. No particular day is better or worse than any other.
hmm what is that in GMT?? I am not understand of american times at all
Also i think the best might be friday or thursday, this week is rather busy otherwise
These (http://www.dxing.com/utcgmt.htm) links (http://www.timezoneconverter.com/cgi-bin/tzc.tzc) might help people with time zone issues. (Also, if you use Firefox, I can heartily recommend FoxClocks (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1117). c: )
Hm... How does 10:30 PM GMT on Friday or Saturday sound to people? (That's 6:30 PM Eastern time, I think, and 5:30 PM Central time.) If all else fails, I can always host two games at different times. We just need to make sure we have a minimum of four players for each game.
KTHX! B-D
The timing is good enough, now only to think which character i will put through
Interest! Apples to Apples is at its best with people who know each other either too well or not at all!
I'm occupied on most friday nights, but I'd gladly pitch in on Saturdays. I hope you don't mind dwarves and gnomes.
Well, my work schedule isn't decided yet, but once it is, I'll let you guys know. The only day that I know for sure I'm not free is May 22.
You have my attention.
That said, I'm having trouble with the module. Is it supposed to take over ten minutes for VASSAL to open it?
Not as far as I know... Which module are you trying to load? I know when I first started it up, the Basic card set and Basic + Kids worked just fine, but Basic + Kids + Custom didn't work until my third try at loading it. (If you just clicked the "most recent Apples to Apples module" here (http://www.sandyapples.com/index.php?p=1_2_Downloads), you have the Basic + Kids + Custom module.) I'd scroll down the page and try "Apples to Apples 2.0 Basic" to see if it loads any faster. If that doesn't work... um. I'll see if I can't find some advice from either the module-makers or the VASSAL website, just in case.
(By the way, folks... If you're planning to join in the games I'm hosting on Friday/Saturday, please make sure you have the "Apples to Apples 2.0 Basic" module. Otherwise, you won't be able to see or enter the game rooms I'll make for them. :animesweat)
Also, I've updated the first post with a list of scheduled games, which I'll try my hardest to keep current. :smile If you want to try hosting your own game at any time, I'll add yours to the list to make it easier both for you to find players and for players to find you.
Quote from: Liatai on May 12, 2010, 11:31:23 AMI'd scroll down the page and try "Apples to Apples 2.0 Basic" to see if it loads any faster.
The funny thing is, that's what I was trying. I'll give the "most recent" module a shot.
EDIT: That doesn't seem to be working, either. Multiple tries, you say?
That's my best guess, for now. The programs loaded faster for me on my second/third/fourth tries.
The only other thing I can think of (and I'm not very technology-inclined, so if anyone else can think of anything to try, by all means, speak up!) is checking to make sure your version of Java is up-to-date (http://www.java.com/en/download/installed.jsp). I don't know if that would do anything, but it doesn't hurt to check, I suppose.
I'm all up for the Friday game. :>
EDIT: Okay..upon seeing the filesize AtA Basic is, I might take a bit longer than that. :erk I'm still on for Friday, unless something goes wrong at the eleventh hour of download.
Yeah, I think that's just due to the sheer number of JPG files for the cards... :animesweat
In any case, just a reminder that there is a game tonight! I'll open up the room at around 10 PM GMT, to allow people time to get in/get situated/get things working right. (I'll make the room's name obvious, in case there are other games going on.)
To join the room, start the module, select "Look for a game online," and hit the "connect" button on the toolbar (it looks like two arrows, or like equilibrium arrows if you're a chemistry geek :P). You should see the name of the room underneath "Main Room." Double-click on the room to join it. After that (this is important), right-click (or control-click if you're using a Mac) on my username, Liatai, under the room's name. Hit "Synchronize." If you don't do this, you won't be able to see or play in the game, so. Yeah. If you have any questions or problems, feel free to send me a message either here or on VASSAL any time.
Hope to see you there! :]
this is strange - i can run the program etc , i just don't see the game being there
The IC game's room, or the game board itself?
If it's the game's room, it's not up yet. :animesweat Once it's up and you join, then hit "Syncronize," you should be able to see it.
If it's the game board itself... try going up to "File" and clicking "New Game." That should open up the game board.
the room.
I was just wondering since it is now 10.30 GMT no? or it is only 9.30??
Meh, i am no geographist
By my clock, it's 9:28 PM GMT right now. It'll be ready in about half an hour. c:
neat! i just had it mixed up.
Is that i am in england i thought they have GMT. I only know for sure slovak republic is gmt +2
duh, i should have figured that i am gmt+1 from that datum :banghead
Just a reminder that there's a game today, too, for those of us who couldn't catch the game last night. c: I'll be opening the room's doors in about half an hour, and then locking the room at 10:30 PM GMT. If you arrive after then, just send me a message either on VASSAL or here, and I'll invite you in.
*edit* As of right now, we only have two players out of a minimum of four; I'll keep the doors open until 10:45 PM.
I'm downloading the module but wich one are you using, basic, basic+kids, or basic+kids+custom
Basic. When I'm hosting, it's always going to be Basic. c:
k, got it going now It says it should take about 14 minutes to download.
All right, I'll pass on the message.
This means that the room will now be open until at least 11:10 PM GMT if other people want to come in.
(sigh) I missed both by accident. Is there going to be another game any time soon? :3
Yep! In fact, I was just going to post asking if there was a time/day this week people would like to play.
I can host a game on any day except Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday.
Hoo boy. Should have responded sooner. Um....anyone free Friday night or Sunday?
Me for example ... this is the kind of fun i refuse to miss, and, at least i will have push to finish work during the day (past exam papers, there is so many of you!)
Again, I'm good for Friday. :3
Friday works for me! Should we still aim for 10:00 PM GMT, or should I open the room's doors earlier?
If you open it earlier, i am going to be the happier - this zone is GMT+1 so it can stretch to quite the morning hours (i am OK with that, i am used to sleeping late, just that in any case it is better...)
I'm cool with whatever y'all decide to do. Just so long as there be plenty of fun to be had, and many snark opportunities. :V
Oh, there should be lots of opportunities for both fun and snark. :cool How about this? I'll set up the room at 9:00 PM GMT, and whenever enough players show up (or at 10:30 PM GMT, whichever happens sooner), we'll start the game. That'll give us a little time to get any tutorials/rule discussion/character summaries out of the way, too.
I should mention, though, that there is going to be a slight change. Since we've had a few people who aren't from the Clockwork Mansion interrupting games, I'm going to lock the room as soon as it's made. If you want to get into the game's room, you'll need to do one of two things...
- (1) Send me a private message on VASSAL (right click on my username, Liatai, under the room's title and select "Send Private Msg." A chat window will pop up. This will happen even if you're not in the same room as I am, so no worries) and ask me to let you in.
- (2) Send me a PM here with your VASSAL username so I can invite you in when I see you enter the main room.
Once you've done either of those two things, I will let you in posthaste and the fun shall commence! :smile
The room is open! We have three players (including myself) in there currently; if anyone else wants to jump in, feel free!
I notice you fail to mention the snark in the commencing. :U
But mayhap giving some times as to when we typically die off would be helpful for scheduling? I typically leave around eleven pm CST, but can stay later given my lack of life. :shifty
Usually, I start zoning out at around 10 PM Eastern, but I can go until midnight or 1 AM if need be.
Speaking of time, due to unforeseen circumstances, I'm free about an hour early for a game tonight if people are interested. If you want to join in, just send me a message! (And if I don't respond, I'm probably drawing, so send me a wake-up and I'll let you in. c:) The room will be up in about three minutes.
Hey, all -- I thought I should let you know that there's a possibility that I might not be able to host a game this week. My computer is having hard drive issues. (Fortunately, it's still under warranty, so I'm able to get a replacement drive; it's just going to take 2-3 days. :animesweat )
In the meantime, though, there's a question I want to pose to you all. During the game last Saturday, someone mentioned posting the roleplaying sections of the games we've done as a story or script in the Tower of Art. Now, I have the games we've played saved in Word documents (and backed up on a thumb drive, so the text won't get lost if my hard drive decides to blow up :P), and I can easily clean up typos and put them in a script format with "stage directions" describing the characters and their actions. Now, my questions to you are...
- What do you think of this idea? Should we post the scripts in their own thread in the Tower? (Or the Ballroom, if that would be better... I don't want to step on anyone's toes. They are technically roleplays, after all.)
- If we are posting the games, are you okay with your writing being posted?
- Would you prefer seeing them in script format (as we tend to write them), or do you want me to try fleshing them out into a full-on third-person story format?
- If we're writing them out as a script, do you want to write out your own characters' physical description(s)? Most of us have written little physical descriptions and character summaries before games start, but if you want to submit something a little more polished, you can either post it here or PM it to me. It would just be a couple of sentences describing the character's appearance and body language; think of the essential details you would want an actor playing the character to know. If you don't want to write a new description, that's fine; I'll just cobble one together from the previous descriptions you've given us. :smile
Sad to hear...
As far as your questions go... most of them the response is they can go in any way you want to.
As for char descriptions: Glup , there is one in the Deathtrap dungeon so link to that
Vladim - you basically gave me a kick to bother to do a "cast" pages section on my site to go with the comic....
Considering I'm the one who suggested it[/selfpreening] I wholeheartedly support this idea. :D I don't really mind if its done in either script or story format, and will supply some descriptions to you of my characters in short order.
If you decide to go with story format, I would like to offer my services as a beta-reader. :bunny I have no experience with scripts so don't quite know if I could beta-read one. Quick question, are you also going to include the OOC comments and pre-game chatter? Because that might end up in some blushing and diving into bunkers.
Also: D: about the hard-drive failure.

Duly noted, thank you! And no, just the IC stuff. If people want to see the craziness that goes on pre-game and in OOC chatter, they'll need to come to the games and see for themselves. :P
Hmmmmm...
-I think that this idea is worthy of its own thread. Anyone not already interested in the Apples-to-Apples chat itself has probably passed it over by now. Where, I'm not sure.
-I'm more than okay with my writing being posted. Just don't hesitate to ask for clarification on anything.
-Script format vs. prose... I honestly do not know. Going to abstain on this one.
-I'd love to write out more detailed physical descriptions. Maybe I can be a little less beige this time.
Hmm , will the game happen tonight??
Probably not tonight, unless someone else wants to host one. I should be able to host one on Saturday, though. c:
Too bad... if it happens though, send me a PM so that i receive an email notification.
Ahh, at least i will make the Cast pages ...
Curses. :<

You mean the Unix graphics library??
Although, if you can get enough other people, and Liatai will be offset by bad computer. i might host the thing as well, at regular time
Umm...no, I mean this (http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/curse). Specifically, definition number four.
And also, yay for contingency plans!
Edit: 100th post! :U Yayness!
So folks... It is 10.00 GMT
I have made a room ,and will wait there until.. let's say 12.00 GMT
Send me an audio signal if nothing, since i am doing other things too...
There is a game tonight if anyone is interested! The room is open.
The room is open for tonight's game! Feel free to come join us if you're so inclined. :smile
*edit* Especially if you have lynx characters! It seems we're having an all-lynx game tonight. xD
Is anyone else having problems downloading the Basic mod from Sandyapples? I've been able to download the others, but not the Basic pack.
VVVV Got it. Much obliged.
i can host it for you for a while
http://www.srcf.ucam.org/~dm510/apples_v2.0_basic.mod
You people with your Linux and your awesome technology skills. :P
In any case, there's a game tonight, too. Come on down! We have snacks! c:
Friends! Applers! Emergency food supplies! Lend me your ears!
Bit of a snafu coming up in the near future. You see, apparently I'm applying for a job this Friday. Since I don't know exactly when or where, I might miss this weeks game. Also, the hours would be from nine pm to four am CST. This would mean I couldn't participate in the games anymore, or at least not as much as I used to.
But hold your tears! Since there is always the possibility of me not getting the job, and the uncertainty of the proposed work schedule, there may yet be hope! More on this as it develops.
~Chair
Good luck placing yourself into the value-producing populace!
Hmm, what days do you plan to work on? You see, now that i don't have lectures , exams ,and other stuff any more, my schedule is more flexible , at least these days - we can switch it around to some extent.
Liatai, what do you think?
I was thinking along similar lines. Most of us are doing job searches right now, anyway, if I remember correctly, so schedules are going to be changing around all over the place. We can even plan it week-by-week if we want until people's schedules even out; what days and times are good for people?
That said, I don't think I'm going to be able to make it this weekend, either. :< There's a surprise party going on for a relative of mine, and since she lives several hours away, I'm going to be leaving for the Land of No Internet on Friday and returning on Sunday. On the bright side, though, it gives me some time to catch up on sketches!
And on Caturday, i am leaving college for home, at least temporarily.
(Really, it is Caturday - i will finally meet again my two cats! ^^ :januscat - i hope they still recognise me! )
What about either tomorrow or Thursday??
Sounds good to me. I'm volunteering between noon and 1 PM EDT on Thursday at the local library (4 to 5 PM GMT), but I'm free at pretty much any other time on those days. Anyone else want to weigh in?
I'm good for it. :B
Awesome! I am for thursday and so far it looks like any time is fit
Okay, then. Shall we shoot for, say, 8 PM GMT on Thursday? It's a little earlier than our usual games, but since most of us have things coming up this weekend, it will leave us with a little more time to catch up on sleep if we need it.
Excellent. >:] Anyone got ideas for a theme for this Thursday game? If not, I suggest Old Chars. Not old in the "My hips are plastic" since, but old in the sense of what order they were created. Of course, that does not necessarily preclude them having plastic hips. :U
that is awesome timing, I agree.
Except that i don't really need sleep :D i was running most of yesterday on 1.5 hours + 3 hours long before
As for the theme - i think if we don't count the government of my NS country, Vladim is my oldest living char, since one of mine, Igor the warlock from DnD got perma-killed by another in such hillarious circumstances i am keeping it as canon...
Are you psychic? :aack
Because I've been trying to get back into writing for my two oldest characters for Off-Panel script work. An Apples to Apples game might be just what I need to reawaken my muses for them. :>
Now I just need to figure out how a dragon could hold cards that are smaller than his talons...

Think of Glup and his tentacles - telekinesis !
Or, he might use tongs or other accessory, not to mention blackmail an familiar/underling to do the job for him
But as for previously unseen characters , i might bring the base's AI through proxy of some robot... (the thing itself is stationary, and only has three mechanical arms for self-repair (and mischief)

Yes. Yes I am. To save time let me answer your next five questions at once. Yes. No. Definitely not. Twenty-three. And only with a penguin.
My single oldest char, the to which I compare all others. My firstborn, and my personal favorite (sorry Andreas, but she's more huggable), my Ice Demoness, Nanbi Tibalt. :> Expect hail. Lots of hail.
twenty three?
Hail Eris i guess :D
this seems will be fun!
Penguins only? Darn. There goes my plan to use the albatross. :/
This should get interesting. One of the two characters I'm planning on bringing (not the dragon, the other one) is a reclusive druid-like mage with a strong preference for fire magic.
I've updated the first post with the new game information. Come one, come all, and bring your oldest characters out to play! Hope to see you there. c:
So there will be three magicians, two of them with bad temper, and an mischievous and rather un-adult-like AI (and that is after vladim fixed it - when first created it was about as bright as 4 year old ....)
Some hillarious badness is bound to happen!!
Actually Nanbi is pretty mellow. Unless you call her ugly. Or look at her funny. Or breathe her air when you know perfectly well it is hers. Or imply that the orphanage did not in fact attack her. :shifty
I accept no responsibility if this game results in the beginning of the next Ice Age, mind you.
Dreadfully sorry for the doublepost, really I am. Going to have to put my hand to a branding iron later for it, but I feel you should all know this.
The universe, or more accurately my mother, has decided it dislikes me. I will be unable to meet with the rest of you in the Appleverse at the kickoff time; will be there later, but how much later is not yet certain.
:curseyou
ACK!
I hope you will make it... I will be logged on since the time mentioned and we shall see
Thank goodness for late sleepers! :. It turns out I will be able to make it after all, due to my waking up at the crack of noon. Sorry for all the drama. :animesweat
The room is now open!
*edit* Or not. VASSAL just crashed on me.
*edit the second* Apparently, the main VASSAL server just crashed. I'll keep you posted.
*edit the third* VASSAL is back up!
Just so i don't forget .... could we make the monday game somewhat earlier than usual?
the thing is i am moving from GMT+1 to GMT+2... not to mention my annoying family being around ... bletch
As far as I know, I'm up for any time. :D Job people haven't gotten back to me, yet.
Also: Did we ever settle on theme music?

I know one awesome track that played in a czechoslovak series i saw , when they were playing cards... i might try to record it and put it up there
here: The music by our talented symphonic orchestra musicians (http://www.srcf.ucam.org/~dm510/apples/karty.mp3)
There is a game tonight! The theme is "background characters." Do you have a character that you don't write for often? An NPC you wish you could use more? A character who takes second fiddle to the main characters in your comics or writing? If so, feel free to come on down!
This sounds really fun. Can I have a link to the game(this will be my first game, so be patient with me, please.)
Sure! The first thing you'll want to do is go here (http://www.java.com/en/download/installed.jsp) and make sure your Java version is up to date. Next, go here (http://www.vassalengine.org/community/index.php?option=com_downloads&Itemid=26) to download VASSAL. Finally, go here (http://www.sandyapples.com/index.php?p=1_2_Downloads) and click "Apples to Apples 2.0 Basic" to download the module.
Once you have the module installed, open it and select "Look for a Game Online." The room we're in should be obvious; send me a PM when you're ready, and I'll let you in. c:
Uh, is it a big download? Because I like to keep my computer not bogged down.
Edit:Ok, just waiting for your check
VASSAL itself is a Java program, so it should be fairly small... The module is the big part, because of all the images it contains for the individual cards. I'm not sure how big it is exactly. Let me check.
*edit* The module is 46.92 MB... so, yeah, it's pretty large. :animesweat Sorry... I understand about not wanting to bog down your computer.
49 MB is the file size
Danman out!
And uh, where can I check how large my storage is on my computer(I have a PC). I hope it's not large, because I want to play and it sounds REALY fun.
Unless you have dialup or ISDN it isn't large.
You should have enough storage too, unless your machine comes from early 1990s
What's your operating system? If it's Windows, I can help you; outside of that, I don't know. For Windows, go to My Computer, right click on the C drive, and select "Properties." It should show you how much space you have as a pie chart.
Uh.. nothing says 'C drive'(Yes, I'm using windows.) I got Local disk(C:), and nothing else with a c. Sorry if this is getting annoying, I'm not fluent in computers, at all.
Local Disk C is the C drive. Same thing.
Ah, thank you very much. Gotta shower then I'll decide if I can download.
Yeah, I can join. Let me just download...
Aack, and we're just about to finish up. :animesweat There will be a game next week, though, if you want to join in that. Keep an eye on this thread; we'll be scheduling it here.
Eh, crap, I'm gone next week. how was this game? Also, I may need some more help, because the java site is trying to confuse me. It's effective.
Reminder to all! There will be a game Wednesday, June the twenty-third, come on down!
While the theme has yet to be decided, Newest Characters is leading the pack right now, but you might want to wait until they make the next turn before picking anything.
Also, 100th reply! Wootz!
Hello folks! There is a game tonight, as well. The theme is Horror Movie Rejects.
What's the theme mean? Would we have to PLAY as Horror Movie Rejects?
It means you should pick any of your scary or psychotic characters.. like the assassin you mentioned
So, um. When should we plan to have the next game? :animesweat I don't think we decided on a time at the end of the last game. I'm pretty much free on any day up until July 9th, when I depart for the Land of No Internet for a week.
Also, do you think we should decide on the theme of the game before the session starts so that we can post it here, to give people more time to prepare characters?
*edit* The time's been decided! Tomorrow, at the usual time. As for the theme... hmm... :shifty ... Let's just say come one, come all, if you're a fan of improv games, even if you don't want to play. We will need an audience. ;)
*edit the second* The room is now open! Tonight's theme is... the non-game! The cards have vanished for the night and left behind rules for improv games! It's In-Character Whose Line Is It Anyway!
So, when is the next next game? Just curious, seeing as I haven't played in a long time.
I think we decided on Saturday, July 3, at the usual time (9 PM GMT).
Methinks i should add - for anyone who is interested in our past game logs, they are here

I'm on the thing now, but no-one's there.
Aack, I should have posted! I'm sorry. :animesweat A few things came up, so we rescheduled for Tuesday. Can you make it then?
Sure thing!
I'll be away for that evening. Have fun, I'll try to make it next time!
The room is now open!
