Not to be confused with the Amazing Screw-on Head, of course.

IT'S BECAUSE I HAVE A CABBAGE FOR A HEAD, ISN'T IT? ;_;

So.. uh.. is it just me, or are guest comics getting more bizarre as time goes on?

There's a reference? And a question from the old forum (http://nice.purrsia.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=79;t=003642) (I'll just assume it was about today's comic): Does the artist have a website?

Edit: Reference or no reference, the sheer randomness makes today's comic a good comic :3

You can't do that! You're lying drunk in a cage in the drink thread! The very fabric of reality is coming apart ! D:

*Charline believes in the theory of the threads of alternate reality!*  Each thread is its own dimension!  We are actually many many versions of ourselves posting to this forum across dimensions, which can easily be accessed by the electrons in the Internet, since they exist in all possibilities at once!   ;)

One of the biggest problems most people who do a guest comic make is that they will often make the joke too "insider-knowledge" dependent.    A good comic has the ability to make sense and be understood at a base level without any prior knowledge of other comics.  A good example would be if you sent a comic to a particular stranger who has never heard of DMFA or any of the other comics out there...if they are still able to get the joke and find it amusing, then it is a good comic.

If the comic relies on outside forces, be it a reference to an inside joke or another comic, then its likely going to suffer as people who aren't in the know won't get the joke.

Hopefully I'll have my new computer up and running soon though...right now it seems everything is behind schedule for me. -_-'''

You heard Amber, folks. The solution is obvious. We have to take out those other comics so people will have no choice but to read DMFA. Then we can make all the inside jokes we want!  :mwaha

Hey, Pods on Furcadia (the creator of today's comic) wanted me(the same Faust from the comic) to tell you guys that her sites are: http://www.freewebs.com/podsportraits/ and http://mashed-taters.deviantart.com/ .....Since someone asked for them, and she couldn't get an account to work to answer herself.

You guys dont get the reference, eh

You know Hellboy? The creator, Mike Mignola, created a short animated pilot episode for a series he was pitching to SciFi, it was called the Amazing Screw-on Head, based off the comic of the same name. It was really cool and funny, but basically what happened in that episode was they released an ancient demi-god from a turnip, or his vegetable prison.

Watch the pilot and give them feedback if you like it.

The comic's creator, Pods, has issued me another message.

She says that even she didn't know what the reference to Screw-On Head was. The comic was based a conversation on Furcadia between me and her, where I was talking about the show while she was talking about ideas for the guest comic. The show reference was unintentional.

That is all.........for now.
