um...why would anyone other than a forensic specialist want to know that???

Sure if I was a writer of crime fiction I'd be mildly curious and if I was a criminal I'd be all ears, but why mention it?

are we commiserating? because I once saw a pigeon crash into a brick wall and snap its neck.

GT: Brunhidden is in training to be a forensic specialist, as I understand it.

As for me, I'm just insatiably curious. I can't speak for bill, though.

For a criminal, chances are anyone dumb enough to commit rape and murder (since I understand the fingerprints are lifted post-mortem) and leave a fingerprint isn't going to be smart enough to figure out how to make it untrackable; anyone that smart is going to use latex gloves, and not leave any fingerprints in the first place...

Oh?

Now I'm curious.

the first method involves the application of silver-nitrate powder with a damp camel hair brush, a darkroom, and about an hour and a half of process time. the prints essentially become an old timey style photograph with the skin as the film. after the process the prints are only visible for about a half an hour and the process itself destroys the prints so its a last ditch method.

the second method requires the body in question to be unrefrigerated, and the application of jet powder with a magnabrush. this process is instant but dirty, the prints can be lifted but the process ruins any other method used to take prints.

yes, its primarily used on corpses, particularly on the inner thigh. however the second process i speak of can be done on living people easily and im going to do it on my wife as a parlor trick to impress people

This is gonna sound stupid, but you did inform your wife about this... Trick... Right?

I'm sorry, I just had to ask.
