Title: Clan Leaders: Revealed vs. Mentioned
Post by: Drayco84 on April 05, 2010, 11:02:09 PM
All right, now that the author has finished the arc, MAY THE WILD SPECULATIONS BEGIN!
Quote/=/=\ Revealed /=\=\
Kish'Ta: Fear
Seme: Despair
Taun: Anger/Rage
Zezzuva: Envy
Nact'Larn: Lust
Dimanika: Confusion
Jin: Joy
Cyra: Pain
Owona: Rage
Fa'Lina: Hope
Piflak: Pride
Quoar: Love

/?/?\ Named /?\?\
Siar: Misery http://missmab.com/Comics/Ab_021.php (http://missmab.com/Comics/Ab_021.php) (Virtually Extinct?)
Hrienth (Deceased: http://aary-kitty.livejournal.com/3685.html)
Que'Tnar: http://missmab.com/Comics/Ab_007.php (http://missmab.com/Comics/Ab_007.php)
Macha: http://missmab.com/Comics/Ab_020.php (http://missmab.com/Comics/Ab_020.php)
D'Marr: http://missmab.com/Comics/Ab_051.php (http://missmab.com/Comics/Ab_051.php)
Omsh: (See above.)

/+/+\ Alliances/Affiliations /+\+\
Taun and Siar? http://missmab.com/Comics/Ab_009.php (http://missmab.com/Comics/Ab_009.php) (Although, since Taun is a major backer of SAIA, it might not necessarily be an alliance as ensuring the place is a safe-haven.)
   Siar and Seme: http://missmab.com/Comics/Ab_057.php (http://missmab.com/Comics/Ab_057.php)

/X/X\ Ruled Out /X\X\
Oolong: Really a Mythos. (Confirmed by TEH AUTHOR.)
Kittah: Character cameo. (Confirmed by TEH AUTHOR.) http://missmab.com/Comics/Vol_584.php (http://missmab.com/Comics/Vol_584.php)
So, we know part of the story about Siar (Red Flame) and Hrienth (Purple Moon). We know that the following four have been mentioned, but not explained: Que'Tnar, Macha, D'Marr, and Omsh. So, it's probably safe to assume that the leaders are dead, but since they're mentioned, the clan lives on. (At least, they were still alive when Abel enrolled in SAIA.) Thus, these four clans, and this topic, are now open for speculation.

*Runs like hell out of the topic and dives behind some rocks.*

Well, they could still be alive, just inactive. Or they aren't known to still be alive.

Macha had to have been a purple cat.

(If you read Macha with a silent C  (as this is the proper pronunciation (at least for the celtic Godess) this will make sense)

I see your Clan Kish'ta and I raise with Clan Daryil.
Parlor tricks will never top the fear that is caused when Daryil enters the room.

Hrienth and Nact'Larn rivalry kind of makes sense for me. Passion and pain can both be associated with lust, so on a competitive level, I can see that going on for sure. However, the personal problems between 'Cubi cannot be ruled out as a source for this in-fighting. :P

Wild Speculation aside, if you would like a conservative opinion, then I would go with what you stated in opening that those clans specifically mentioned in the comic all reside within the "clan leader deceased" category.

Judging by the trend on living clan leader and clan strength, it is quite likely that most of those that lost the clan leader were themselves destroyed or see only one or very few surviving members.

Well, true... But it'd also be kinda nice to see what these leaders looked like and find out how their clans handled their demise... (They can't all have gone insane like Aniz...)

Mink isn't a leader yet, but once he/she is, I'll put 'im/'er on the list.
