Title: 03/28/10 [TDA #3] - Put him back!
Post by: ChaosMageX on March 27, 2010, 07:43:00 PM
I wonder where she has the guy's soul at the moment if she hasn't eaten it already.

Amusing how both are still fully-clothed after implied unf-ing...  >:3

(that actually seems to happen in a lot of places; CSI being a prime offender. While I understand why this is done, I've always found it rather absurd...)

I considered taking that up with Spooks, actually.  Then I figured it would work anyway.  All I'll say about that is that you can't see where the guy's fly is.

Must sleep now.

Wow. I can honestly say that didn't once cross my mind.  :erk

So does this follow the old saying?

It is better to have loved and lost your soul.
Then not too love at all. :P

I think I would rather loved and kept my soul than loved and lost my soul.

I am rather upset because I make in jest a joke saying she was making the noises of sex as she ate his soul... but in reality she went as the succubus of lore, knocking him up first then munching on his soul.  I WANTED TO BE WRONG!

...Can't a guy get a hot girl without her using him then eating him?

As a writer of DMFA-like stories, one thing I've been guilty of a lot is idolising the 'Cubi race and painting them as "just misunderstood".  The way I see it, this particular storyline does a better job than most of portraying the darker side of the coin.

To answer ChaosMage's question, the guy's soul is in a sort of limbo between being stolen and consumed.  Jakob's intention is to interrupt this process, one way or another.

Well if you are portraying the darker side of the coin then Jackob would not be fighting to save his life instead he would have done something more darker.
Since you said this happens some 150 years before PF and Jackob is around 1050, that means that Jackob as an incubus is fighting to save the soul of a being.

I would say you are portraying both sides of the coin.

Random thought - Now I am starting to wonder if Dan and Jackob met... They seem to have a lot in common.

He's not all sweetness and light, as we shall see.

Tricky one.  Jakob and Daniel never meet in any of my stories, no.

Just to give everyone a heads up, I lost my net connection for the whole weekend, and regained it just now. I now sent the lineart of the next PF page to Tape.

Also, blue feline, quite interesting.

Page 108 proper is up.  Probably full of mistakes.  Have fun, I'm going to bed.

I just had a strange thought about soul stealing.

Is it possible to do a soul steal from one of Jacob's android bodies?

Yes, though Dark Angel is set before they became available.

Okay, new page is up.

EDIT:  Of course, someone forgot to highlight the succubus' wings, but that won't happen until tonight now...
