:mowmeep yay Abel
well that's a given right?
I don't have to be gay to go for Abel. :mowwink If I were a guy, tho', would definitely be gay for Abel.
Well of course I am who isnt?
Is it still gay if he turns into a she (http://www.missmab.com/Comics/Vol_1040.php) first?
That would be only superficial appearance.
I'm not gay and I don't like him anyhow. Which button do I press? :<

Wellll... as those of us In The Know can tell you, males have a rather different, well, "energy" than females. The old 4-element model works well here. Men are fire, air; Women are water; earth. Even the nelliest queens still have that fiery male energy, especially when :censored :censored or even when :censored :censored :censored, believe it or not.
Who the frig pressed "What's gay?" I mean seriously if you don't know GRAB A DICTIONARY.
Who the frig is the poster who doesn't have a sense of humor? I mean seriously, if you don't have one, GET ONE.
Sorry, I left my sense of humor at work last night, but don't worry I just went and picked it back up.
I don't understand.
HOW U MINE FOR FISH? :<
It's still not confirmed (as of now) if he is or not, he's just...ambiguous. :U
That doesn't mean people can't be gay for him though. For example I'm strait, but I've had at lease a half-dozen guys hit on me before. :erk
yes, I know, I was just saying is all. :3
Mommy, that man reached to hold my hand,
wanted to give me a back rub, reaced over to give me a hug,
tried to kiss me fast, reached to grab my :censored...
maybe I should stop the poem while I'm behind.

Ah think Abel is a pretty cool guy, eh's ambiguously gay doesn't afraid of stereotypes.

Then you must be very cute, otherwise they would've ignored you.
We gay guys are still men, and like other men, we only tend to look at/go after the really attractive ones.
Take it as high praise.

A particular type of carefree happiness is what "gay" used to mean, but once a word has been popularly misused, it can never quite regain its true meaning. We have to throw it away and make up a new one to replace it.
I started to respond that "even Abel couldn't make me gay," but then I had a scary thought: at what point does definitive knowledge of hetero-ness become denial of gay-ness?

Either that or my personality (which now has cougars chasing after me :mowdizzy ), but of course I never really saw myself as attractive (even when I had to hop on my bike to get away from all the girls wanting to date me).

You're young. You're attractive and/or have a nice personality. So much so that even gay men are attracted to you, even though you're hetero. And women of all ages are throwing themselves at you.
And this is a problem ... how, exactly?

Growing up, I've been more of the loner personality type. It's only more reacently that I've been starting to engage in conversations.
As was I. During puberty, I generally snarled at anyone who disturbed me (well, figuratively, not literally :) ). I wanted to be left alone, always.
It wasn't until I was 23 and in grad school that I started trying to be social. And dating.
Just about the same age as you are now, from what your profile says.
Look, you're in you're 20's. You are human. You are male. Ergo, you have a libido (like it or not). As a bonus, you have ... opportunities presenting themselves.
So, take it from an old codger: Go. For. It. Be clear with the other person what you want, and don't want. Listen and understand what the other person wants, and respect that. Heck, if it makes you feel better, confess that you used to be more of a loner, that you're awkward, inexperienced at these sorts of things.
As long as you respect who you're with, communicate clearly --- and
play safe --- then there's no problem with havin' some fun. :mowtongue :mowtongue
As they say, practice makes perfect.

Being gay for abel goes back at least to his comic's opening (someone go find an earlier discussion). Also the awesome gay for Abel image and Equidna is in there (http://nice.llearch.net/dmfa_forum2459.htm)
Also I highly approve of the truth in the above message. If you're not gay for Abel it's because you are divinely bisexual for Abel.
In order to get some more statistically significant results from this poll, I would like to request a change to:
- Yes
- Fabulous!
- Yes, pass me the whip cream
- Yes, pass me the chocolate chip cookies
- No, I'm a girl
:)
Agreed

For him? Why, does he need a surrogate or "pinch hitter"?
I thought being Gay for Abel was the norm around here.
Although, that's assuming there's a norm to begin with.
I'm going back to my other forums where there is a norm. Sort of.

Wow, after reading that Nice topic... I realized that our current forum doesn't appear to have as much "fun" to it... nor is it quite as active, I think.
Its also more "on topic"... usually.
Gay for Abel? Me?

Why be gay for a fictional character? What kind of BS is that? I rather be gay for someone who has a pulce!
Nope, not gay.

Why be gay for a fictional character?
Because
it is a fictional character. Sometimes real life doesn't live up to all the hype, and dreams and fantasies are much to be preferred.
And that explains exactly why I don't want a girlfriend.
