Title: 23/01/10 [PF #98] - Even someone like Keaton has a soft spot
Post by: Gabi on January 22, 2010, 09:27:24 PM
...Which is a good thing, I believe. I don't like characters that are all bad. I think Keaton is quite an interesting character.

And an RJ cameo! Nice. :) Do you have any idea what RJ is doing these days?

What an interesting strip, I wonder what happened to poor Lin.

It's a long story that is explained in detail in the 'novel' but which wouldn't easily fit into the comic without a whole wall of text spanning several pages.  It's part of Keaton's backstory, but it may help if you refer back to pages 91 (http://www.project-future.org/strip.php?strip=91) and 92 (http://www.project-future.org/strip.php?strip=91).

If it still doesn't make sense by the end of the chapter let me know and I'll quote some of the original text, maybe do a bonus QFR strip about it since walls of text are more acceptable there.

Yes, she was immense fun to write.  Without that and the infusion of new ideas and sub-plots she gave the story about this point it probably would have collapsed.  Chapters 11 and 12 she should really have credit with the writing as well, I'll have to fix that.

Not especially.  She's active on Deviantart, though.  Mostly doing photography.

Lastly, here's Keaton and Lianna before the video mixing:

I kind of wish I'd done a better job on Keaton's shoulders.

To elaborate on Tapewolf's answer above, Lianna had it even worse than Keaton, and it left her a mental wreck.

I disagree. I think Keaton (the char) had it worse. Lianna just folded easier, in my opinion.

... of course, Keaton (the author) may well disagree with me on that, and since they're her chars, she wins. In her absence, though, I get to say what I like. Until she gets back. ;-]

Okay, I got the art too late and I just can't finish it tonight.  It will have to be done in the morning, sorry.

You're welcome.

I'd have provided, but I was asleep...
