Actually, Matilda's kinda sweet to our plucky Incubus, isn't she?

Considering her own brother relations, it might have helped Dan more than both realizes.

But, if that's how she handles "subtle" I wonder how she is then, when she's "brash" and "loud" !
It should be quite a sight!

:D

Also - Puppy dog eyes time three!!  :eek

I agree with the sentiment that panel 3 is mildly creepy or off-putting, but contend that the absolute cute of the two panels before that more than make up for it.  I Daaaaw'ed at the second panel.  I think Amber really has a knack for softer expressions that can melt just about anyone.

I think that, what makes the eyes creepy in the third panel has to be what looks like a distinct lack of eye whites, which when coupled with the clear fangs in the smile, make for an eerie mixture of odd and aggressive.  It's almost like having a creature that just tried to gnaw your ankle off give you puppy dog eyes.

I kinda think of the pet that goes by the name 'Steak' in "Tegami Bachi: Letter Bee" when I look at panel 3.

The true reason why the last panel looks so creepy is because it reminds of Alexsi!

I don't care, the really really cute second panel is pure gold!

Not if it's... y'know what? No. Not going to decimate my fragile lurker image by sharing. I'll just send you my therapy bills instead. It's easier for everyone that way.

In other news, I do like where this particular thread of storyline is going. It's about time Alexsi and Dan had personal lives that didn't explode in their faces, dangit.

First, Matilda's skin has quite the shiny going on.  Didn't realize that until this comic. Nice effect, Amber.

Second, do you guys think this is Dan's first real date EVER?!?!? I'n not considering stuff like he and Wildy going out to DDR.

If so, he's doing pretty well, all things considered.

Actually, I seem to remember Amber saying that he did have an adventurer girlfriend in the past, but things didn't quite work out and they split up.

Though Dan deserves some credit here too.  It takes balls to admit that you're doing something like that to a girl, especially if you do kinda like her (regardless of the degree).  No one wants to really hurt the feelings of someone they're fond of.

I like this comic, it shows that Matty does understand Dan by giving him a direct line of what she wants him to do but making it seem almost subtle.
I really like Matilda now.  Especially after she explained everything to Dan.

The last two panels are full of cute.
I don't care if she has fangs or no whites in her eye, just the puppy dog eyes and adorable smile does it for me.

Don't knock it 'til you try it.   >:3

This is presumably some weird slang I've never encountered before.  To me, it means:
1. Attaching clothes etc to some kind of hanger by means of a peg
2. To mentally assign a label to someone or something, e.g. "I had you pegged as a Being sympathizer"
3. To overload a piece of audio equipment so much that the meter needle slams into the end stop, or peg.  e.g. "It's pegging the VU meters"

...none of which break U rating, let alone PG.  I have a fairly shrewd guess as to what you guys are thinking about, though.

I do find it kinda funny that in the two panels where she's trying to be cute and talking about another date (that is to say, the second and third), Matilda is using a known exploit in the male code.  That said, I hope the exploit is never patched.  It's really the best exploit ever.

A few points on this:
1) Fluffy can't count. Not including the ears or cobra hood, that is 11 limbs, not 10.
2) I always thought those ears were just a really nifty hood marking, but ears on a "reptile" are cool, too.
3) Scarf? What scarf? *Looks at picture again* Oops! What do you know, there are tassels near the bottom of the page. All this time I thought she was wearing a gownless evening strap. Yes, a gownless evening strap. For those times where a strapless evening gown just doesn't have a low enough bust line.

I've noticed that too.

But a thought occurred to me, so let's take it farther: What if their kid _eventually_ managed to be one of those that ascended to tri-wing?

The point is... thirteen limbs!

New game: let's keep thinking of ways to increase the number of limbs she has.

Head is not a limb though. She has 4 legs, 2 arms. A tail. 2 back wings, and 2 head wings. That't 11..

Amber once referred to her as "Megan".

Don't forget that the main wings seem able to split into several tentacle thingies .. seems about 4 or so, when Dan had his wings making coffee accident. So, two per wing in his case. I dunno if that's standard or not, but I'm guessing his children woiuld have the same by default ?

Would they also have Pip heads ?

I think wing tentacles might be more akin to fingers than limbs (arms/legs/wings/tails).

it protrudes from the body significantly and is universal  for the species, there fore it is a limb. like an arm or a leg it's normal and serves and universal function when healthy  in fact arm leg leg arm head is how some people perceive the body
