Heh, happens way too often when I am running games, too.... :P
The Auld Grump
My only question is why his nose is pink in this strip. xP
If it were Destania's, I wonder if he'd even be alive...probably didn't get it from her directly then. :B
Nine words and lil' ducky gets to screw with the fans all over again.... >:3
Oh my gawds, someone has GOT to make some kind of meme, lol, or (de)motivator image out of the last panel! :U (which then must be made into an image smiley for this forum :mowwink )

brb crackin' up over that expression oh my god
This lends support to my theory that Duckie and Destina met while Dee was working at SAIA. A whole lot of support.
This reminds me of the QFtR where Abel was going to strip before Fa'Lina stopped him. And how the characters aren't allowed to answer questions. 8)

Well, 'while working at SAIA' covers about 99.2% of Destania's life. She presumably went outside on sabbaticals for a bit in order to have made contacts with Biggs family, but out of about 7026 years she's only spent about 50 not officially at SAIA.
Pyroduck's bio says Fa'Lina adopted him and since Fa'Lina runs the Academy, chances are fairly good that Pyro would have been in it while Destania was also in it. I doubt P&D got on particularly well, but Fa'Lina would be able to keep them from tearing each other apart.
My question from the reader is this: "Is what Pyroduck just said true?"

I actually enjoy these strips. Well, for starters, they answer my questions about the comic. :B
I also enjoy QFtR and wouldn't mind it if Amber made one every month or two, especially during dramatic segments where it would help break the tension and provide some much-needed comic relief.
I'm actually having a lot of trouble finding the feather that's referenced in this strip!
He doesn't seem to have it in the current arc...It's not on his cast page...
Questions are good, they're the best way to learn...

Here's a good shot. (http://missmab.com/Comics/Vol_680.php)
If Ducky is a time traveller it does answer several questions, and add even more.

The last panel had me laughing for about five minutes. :) I do enjoy QFtR. I find they can be very entertaining.

yes but ask too many and you may either wear out the one answering the questions or their patience.
Now is Ducky teasing us, or is Ducky making trouble for Amber? :P
Well Amber should have known better than trust someone who is said to make fourth wall comments and just over all likes to mess with people.
Now it will probably be a while before Amber trusts another character with a QFtR page.
You would thing she would have learnt after Abel...

Back to black it seems. Perhaps someone else was standing in for him...

According to this, Abel never met Pyroduck before coming to Lost Lake, and Abel's been at the Academy for a few hundred years. (http://missmab.com/Comics/Vol_682.php)
He might have met Blue on one of her missions or before Abel arrived or even he didn't see him when he was there, its a big school (probably). Plus, we have no idea how old Pyro is.

Yes, but Destania seems to have been there for almost 20x as long. That's a very small overlap.
It seems likely to me that if Fa'Lina was going to come across a young dragon and take him in it would happen around the time SAIA was founded, not within the last 400 years. It has been mentioned that Fa'Lina almost never leaves the Academy...

For some reason, when he's talking about himself, I figure it's not true.
I demand Pyro tells us how he got that feather.

"And a fibber never has a good answer."
I think the answer is a bit mundane; probably has something to do with identifying himself as a non-cubi-hating dragon.

I would guess that he could have gotten that feather as a gift from someone who held a sentimental attachment.

That would make more sense if it were one of Fa'lina's feathers. She did adopt him, after all. If Destania had given Pyroduck a feather while she was still at the academy, she would not likely seek the extermination of all dragons now.
Can the feather serve as a mark to protect Pyro from whatever Dee's cooking up?
Given to him from Fa'lina.
One has to wonder if he's keeping it for other, less benign, reasons. In many beliefs (or superstitions), having a piece of someone, be it hair, a bit of blood, etc, can give you power over that person with the right magics.

. . . That actually makes a great deal of sense. And maybe it's going to allow Dee to exempt Pyroduck from being included in her
Final Solution.
