Title: Monkey Island 2: Now in 3D!(sort of)
Post by: TheJimTimMan on September 22, 2009, 09:38:48 AM
This cropped up on RPS yesterday night: MI2's Unofficial 3D Treatment (http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2009/09/21/monkey-island-2s-unofficial-3d-treatment/)

Sadly, it only appears to be a one-off thing of a tiny part of the game but my gods does it look good.

That would be interesting, if he can pull it off without being sued into next tuesday.

A sentiment mirrored by many so far in the comments thread. Apparently LucasArts actually offered the guy a job, but he declined on account of him already working for Crytek.
I would definitely like to see it continued though, seeing as I haven't played any of the Monkey Island games (or, for that matter, any LucasArts adventure games). That, and with a bit of tinkering I can play through the levels via the medium of Nanosuit  :mwaha

I am quite excited at the prospects of this idea having throughly enjoyed the wonderous experience known as The secret of Monkey Island SE.
