Bweeheeheehee.
I had wondered how Alexsi kept Dan in line. *snicker*
Fear the mighty squirt bottle of doom!
Especially if wielded by a guy in a evironmental suit. 'Cause then it's napalm.
So simple, and yet so efficient.
THAT was funny! :D
I'm not quite sure I know what Abel did that was so wrong, though....

Well, she did hire him as a guy. If he changes after being hired, either she's lied on her CV and gets fired for it, or she gets a lower wage than she would as a guy. Cynical? Me? Never... >:3
And yes, that's a great way of keeping him in line, until he goes out and gets a sprayer from the local garden centre for a couple of dollars. Then the inn turns into a three-way squirting match between Dan, Abel and Alexsi.

Alexi used Spritz Bottle on Wild Dan
"Its super-effective!"

Yeah, I got a chuckle out of this one.

I don't know. Abel does have this one technique that should dry him off fast. (http://www.missmab.com/Comics/Vol_538.php)

The other technique would be to make yourself bald for a few seconds so the water just falls away.
Such Chutzpah Alexsi has, so catty putting the boys in their place, it's so funny. :mowhappy

While I won't argue the effectiveness of that technique, something tells me that Alexsi wouldn't take too kindly to spontaneous cubi combustion in her inn. Call it a gut feeling. :p
I love how nonchalantly she does the whole thing :3
The first panel is the most... alluring panel. Lady-Abel is one hot and seductive lady.

Perhaps Alexsi doesn't appreciate her tavern guests being teased, especially friends like Lorenda.
Heehee, that's just great. :)
Feels kind of like the Abel that Amber and I used to chat and joke about, before she'd finished hammering out his character into what he is now. I can't quite pin down why though... could be the plain fact he's being delightfully mischevious instead of being his jerk-ass normal self.
Hmm.
Well I remember Amber almost doing this to me at AC last year or was it the year before..I can't remember
Hahahahahahahahaha.
Humor aside, I really do like how Alexsi has been looking during this arc. A little sleeker than she was in some of the previous depictions. Maybe it's the black dress or something.

That or her current skirt doesn't have an underskirt train, which Amber seems to use quite often on Alexsi's costumes.
Also, I'm surprised no one has mentioned the seemingly cute appearance of Fembel yet.
We have to spritz two of our cats because they absolutly refuse to get along with eachother, and often get into fights. My mother commented that the way they were acting was "just like the Israelies and the Palastinians." To witch I responded, the way to solve that conflict would be to just spritz water at them.
It seems Alexsi also knows the power of the "Peace in the Middle East" bottle.
I love not only how nonchalant and deadpan Alexsi is about spritzing the boys, but how they made the exact same noise and reaction on being spritzed. More alike then they want to admit...

Pardon my stupidity, what is "Chutzpah"?
Chutzpah is Yiddish for nerve, or cheek.

The classic example of Chutzpah is a person who kills both their parents and then asks the court for mercy on the grounds that they are an orphan.
If anybody, Dan would be the example of Chutzpah in frequently engaging in various antics (Dancing on the roof semi-naked comes to mind, but I'm sure that there were many others. (http://www.missmab.com/Comics/Vol_259.php)) and then asking that Abel be punished for similar behavior. In this case, Alexsi's response would be appropriate punishment for Dan's Chutzpah.
Edit:
Note that Alexsi's threatened response to Dan dancing on the roof has a marked similarity to the current episode.
abel: giant magic-using troll.
we have debated using this method on one of my co-workers. Sadly, in a room full of computers, it's not so great of an idea. (though we think it would work)
Let's play a game kids. At what point did Lorenda's mind snap?
That would probably be the one hard thing about being a shape shifter, forgetting what form you're in.

We can do the tango just for two
I can serenade and gently play on your heart strings
Be your valentino just for you

It's "Good old fashioned Loverboy" by Queen.
It's a shame that neither Dan nor Abel are Selkirk Rex or LaPerm cats, as a quick spritz with a water bottle can really bring out the curl in their fur.
Those cat breeds are so beautiful it's amazing. And their curly fur is so soft and springy that you feel like you're petting a cloud...and spreading fog everywhere. xD

Selkirk Rexes, the cats in sheep's clothing
They are so beautiful, their curls unparalleled
Their softness is equivalent to a cloud,
They leave a gentle fog wherever they go
Across all your furniture and carpeting
As you pet them, A billowing smoke of tangled hair
Goes drifting by, eliciting a meow so loud,
Wafting up towards the ceiling,
And dancing through the air.
Oh no no. I HATE Rexes. Damned ugliest cats ever, Sphinxes aside of course. They're bony nasty looking things with triangular heads and huge bat-like ears. Infact essentially they ARE Sphinxes in sheep's clothing. They're possibly the only cat breed I would not be sad to hear about a mass-drowning of. Cruel I know but the things were mutants from the start, they were never meant to be and should have never been bred from. Its a case of greed of breeders 'Omg my cat has produced this hairless/curly haired THING instead of the beautiful profitable kittens I was hoping for, now I won't be able to wring stupid amounts of money from my customers by saying they're pedigree even though my cat had to have shagged a hairless molerat or something to get something this ugly. Hmm unless.......' and thus Sphinxes/Rexes were born. They're Chihuahua's attempting to infiltrate cat ranks I'm sure of it :U
(BTW I apologise if this comment offends any Rex/Sphinx fans but seriously I loathe them)
It's okay, Succubus_1982. To each their own. What is your favorite breed of cat?
I love all cats and all cat breeds, because everything they do is silly. Even the way the female acts when mating is silly.
I like lots of kinds long-hairs more than shorts (but not those persians with the squished-in noses).Mainecoons (http://www.cats-central.com/cat-breeds/images/cats_14.jpg) and Norwegian Forest Cats (http://dijworld.com/nadeneko/norwegian.jpg) are pretty. Ooh and Ragdolls (http://rivershorerags.com/banner1103.jpg). If I had to go with a shorthair though it'd be a Russian Blue (http://www.thedailymews.com/articles/RussianBlue.jpg) like in TwoLumps. (http://www.twolumps.net/)
But uh anyway offtopic. Moving on please.........
Maine coons and Norwegian forest cats are huge.

I believe leopards and tigers like swimming. I'd think some of them would _enjoy_ the power hose...
Yeh but in the face? At the very least it might give you 5 seconds distraction to get the wall and out of the enclosure before you're ripped to bloody shreds
Jaguars like water. They swim and hunt for fish, caimens, and other water denizens. :3
I once saw a zookeeper washing down one of the tiger cages with a hose. (He was outside the cage.) The tiger was getting in the way of the spray and rolling so that she got wet all over. She then took a drink by catching part of the stream in her mouth. The tiger appeared to be having a great time.

Actually, I believe that the tiger dove into the water and the appearance of the skin around the mouth and eyes is due to the water rushing past. That would also explain the ears being pushed back against the skull. This really is a happy face.
Think of it as playing frisbee with an edible frisbee.
Edits:
P.S. Don't expect the frisbee back.
There are also tiger sharks as well as leopard seals. But let's avoid getting too catty.
I've heard of leopard seals before...
