I was just enjoying posting vague statements, now you've gone and attracted attention to them! What I said was so vague it could be true, false or neither, but since you've so bluntly denied it, I must tell you I have evidence (http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g26/Gliynn/p3250109.jpg), which also happens to show you have evidence too!
Not that having been there has any relevance to anyone else, but I was saying it was fun.
Now, let's not derail the topic. We must keep discussing about... what was the discussion again?
You know you have a great fanbase when ...
Zina, that was bloody fantastic, I'd even go so far as to say it was Mabworthy.
As for poor old Pyroduck, perhaps he isn't a banana. Mayhaps he's a metaphorical banana! Operating on this assumption, I searched my way around the internet until I found a page which told me that bananas are the golden fingers of a World's diety (http://gukira.blogspot.com/2005/11/banana-contest.html).
So ...
Pyroduck is the Furrae equivalent of a Jehovah's Witness?

VGCats was actually pretty funny for a short time at one point, je. It's just that lately he's turned towards fanservice which means a lot of hobo comics and a lot of stuff getting killed. Some of the earlier comics, where he'd just honed his skills, involving primarily the cats were pretty funny. I still remember the Wind Waker one regarding the shop's special membership stuffs, I found that one particularly amusing because I felt similarly.
Lately though, ugh ...
Oh and Zina is very funny. I hope we see more from Zina because there are very few artists which I actually find to be funny enough to raise a laugh from me. Amber is one of them, she can do it to the point where I can find just about anything funny for minutes after if it's a good strip. It seems Zina can, too. In fact, Zina, do you have your own webcomic? I'm all curious now.
Anyway ...
I can't help but wonder if Pyro is actually the prodigy of a certain Eric (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SzR5-_Tg48Y&search=bananaman) who lives at 29 Acacia Road ...

I do. Click my sig to get there. Although, to be honest, it has it's moments but it's not really a feel-good comic. =P
Net: He has? Hm, that must've been around when I stopped reading. Around that time there were a lot of non-Cat comics and they were all pretty much not to my particularly inclination of funny. They were no doubt to someone's, just not to mine.
I should poke my head in there again and see whether he's returned to what I originally found funny.
Zina: Oh uh ... I honestly hadn't noticed your sig. *Sheepish.* Usually I tend to skim over them, my sight's not the greatest so I don't really see things unless I stop and take the effort to see them. I suppose the sig should be the first place to look when one is wondering whether a person has a comic or not but that would require common sense and whilst I have a good amount of logic to work with, I have little common sense. I'm too bloody eccentric.
So thanks for pointing that out [and I say this with no sarcastic intent at all, had you not I'd still likely be none the wiser].
As for the feel goodness ... I might still check it out anyway. I don't do so good with comics that're emotional downers but if the comic is intellectual and intelligent, I'll like it regardless of its background mood.
Stuck in Zelda: Master Quest today, I decided to do something random and jumped into a pit, largely for an excuse to quote this comic's punchline.
Bam - I saw the solution in mid-jump.
Thanks, Zina!

Of course, I'm always the black sheep in all social circles. I actually liked one of these monster shows but it was Monster Rancher that I liked, due to the fact that it actually had some kind of story and it was incredibly endearing at times.
That and I swear, whomever voiced Tiger of the Wind had the most attractive voice I've ever heard and it's really unique too. I've heard some compare it to the Wolverine voices in the X-Men cartoons but no, to the discerning they're nothing at all alike. Tiger actually sounds like he has a voice, most of the Wolverine voices sound like they're choking on soap.
I liked watching that show, even if it was done in the same vein as 4Kids and it edited. They had just got done with the sand guy of the Big Bad Four or some such and then it was cut. Ah well.

Since you've taken the brave step of admitting you liked it, I'll join you. I found it by accident while flipping channels one morning before work about 5 years ago.
My first thought was that it was Pokemon, my second thought was that it had improved since I last had the misfortune of watching it. Then I began to watch it, since I was trying to assimilate drawing styles for my game. Then, as you say, it had one of its endearing moments and I became rather interested in it for its own sake.
If you look very carefully on one of my anti-walkthroughs you will find a quote from it. (Unless I removed it in a fit of embarrassment. I think it's still there..)
Monster Rancher was a good series, and the main villain using a Greek name? kudos to them.
Though it WAS a little too much like digimon, the plot still had it going, threw in nice twists.

I believe you're thinking of Gali (the guy with the sun mask and cloak). I actually saw up to the point where Mu had just gotten back his full power, and that's after the Big Bad Four, General Durahan and just finding the body of the Pheonix. Then even Fox Family stopped showing it. Mother****ers.
I don't think any channel ever finishes a series before taking it off. That's the way it is for all my shows. That show got taken off the air way before any of that for me.
You know, I actually did get to see the very end of Monster Rancher. I never understood the name, as it didn't seem to make any sense in the context of the story. But yes, it was an interesting story with the ultimate evil monster Muu inhabiting the girl's father and what must be done at the end to defeat him... *chuckles evily* I wonder if I should spoil it. Meh, it's prolly all on Wikipedia. ;)
Well, if the first games came either before or at the same time as the show, that might explain it.
Then again, something could've been miscommunicated to us too.
Yeah, the name came from the game way back when on the PS1. Getting Magic Johnson as a secret monster was pretty funny. X3
:U you all like monster rancher?!
It was a nice show, it's a pity I was never able to watch more than a few consecutive shows at a time. I think that, were it available, I might consider renting/buying it, as even the english version that i was able to watch was good. >:3
I actually never saw the cartoon, even though I've played just about every game in the series at some point. D:
