Welcome one and all to my new art topic! :3
The old one can be found here. (http://clockworkmansion.com/forum/index.php/topic,976.0.html) Since it had become a somewhat large topic and cluttered with my art pages, I thought it would be easier to start putting new pictures in a new thread. However, that one will still be there if people want to look at it.
So now once again, without further adyoo, some new pics. Enjoy! ^^
Note: Comments and critique are very much appreciated. I find doing pictures fun and I always will, but I'd like to see at least a little bit of appreciation somehow for the work I do.

Requests:
I love the one with you and Gar- he seems so relaxed! The other two are nice as well! Glad to see you're a Draenei fan as well :mowwink
Heh, well thanks Kipiru...it's nice to know that someone likes my art. I thought I would have gotten much more feedback on the fanart, considering it's fanart that brings in the crowds. :B
Ah well. Now for something different.
Introducing some giftart for the one and only Keaton the Black Jackal. (http://risendecabre.deviantart.com/art/Gift-Arting-Keaton-131373905) She's been my friend for a while and is a very nice person in general, and considering she's done a bit of art for me, it's now time I've done something for her.
So now she has something from lil' old me to add to her ever-growing collection of Keaton art. x3 Darn fun to draw and color, although the markings look terrible to me, considering they're supposed to be so elaborate and pretty. xP
Hope you like, Keats! Hope the rest of you like it too and don't think that I've besmirched her good fame. :3
This is the original sketch, (http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c108/RisenDeCabre360/New%20Art/Keaton.jpg) in case the colors are a bit too dark.

No kidding. When she turns up in the comic we're going to go with simplified markings, otherwise colouring it will kill me :U
Okay. The likeness is good. The lighting is consistent. The markings are very good given how insanely complex they are in Keaton's own rendition. The only thing which gives me pause is the headwings. Ideally they should be 2-3 times larger. But that's the only quibble I have with it.

Depends on the fans Aisha- I started playing WoW because of Draenei(later I realised that it's a good game in general)
Great Keaton pic, though the neck could be a bit longer- great coloring as usual!

Many thanks, I'm glad that you approve of it as well Tape. :3 Heh, and originally I had thought of coloring her without headwings. Are all 'Cubi headwings a little larger than that, or just Keaton's? She's never said anything to me herself about it...regardless if she says it needs to be changed, then it's an easy thing to do.

Considering the art that I find primarily with Draenei in it, I'm not surprised. :B
Jabs aside, thanks! Actually I drew the neck longer...I think it just looks short because it's supposed to be her with her snout lowered at a slightly upper angle, thus hiding the neck some...but if that's not how it looks, maybe I need more practice with perspective...heh, something to work on at least. x3

Hmm, it's not that cut-and-dried.
When Dan's first appeared they were quite large:
http://missmab.com/Comics/Vol_307.php
When he meets Cyra and shortly afterwards when he's in bed, her wings are about that size proportionally, but Dan's are smaller:
http://missmab.com/Comics/Vol_1004.php
In Amber's rendition of Keaton they're only about 1.5-2 times larger than yours:
http://www.furaffinity.net/full/2507748/
In the ensemble picture I commissioned there is some variation in size even within that picture:
http://www.furaffinity.net/full/2554062/
...so yeah, it's a bit of a tricky one. Part of it is that the previous picture I saw was Kipiru's and he always does the headwings and wings on the larger side.

Ahhh, okay. x3 I figured there were different sizes and different styles of drawing headwings. I'll try and find a larger size consistency, just that it's a little new for me to be drawing those lil' Cubi appendages--cool though they are--because appendages shouldn't really be growing out of the skull and considering the ears and hair are always in the way...
Basically the thing I like about drawing 'Cubi anyway is that any drawing consistency can also be attributed to the fact that...well... :shapeshifters >:3
Seriously though, thanks for the heads-up. x3
Alrighty then, slightly new update. x3 I gotta remember to update this thing whenever I put something acceptable on DA.
Anyway, first is just another picture of Aisha, the true and fierce demon hunter that she is: "Show me the demon", she demands. (http://risendecabre.deviantart.com/art/quot-Show-Me-the-Demon-quot-131558351) Probably one of the best-done pics of her IMO, concerning anatomy.
Yes, for those concerned, that's also the same picture whose original lineart is in the collaboration thread. Just thought it time to show more people who watch this instead of that, I guess. x3
And also, now that it's revealed, Kassin for The1Kobra (http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c108/RisenDeCabre360/New%20Art/Kassin.png) from the CCC thread.
Hope both are liked! If it's not said so, I'll just assume they are liked anyway. :3
Also, I'm announcing that I still have room for free requests as well as commissions. Five slots are available. So if anyone would like one, don't hesitate to ask. ^^ Same rules as in my commissions info apply, however.
Hokay, well...
My first request pic has been done...for Basilik's cute sketch of Rynkura, I give him a picture of his 'Cubi character from the City RP.
Edaric of Clan Ahnasazi. (http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c108/RisenDeCabre360/New%20Art/Ed.png)
Hope you like it dude. :3 I tried as well as I could to approximate the colors you had in your description. I must admit I think the design came out pretty good. But OH GOD THE SPOTS. x.x
Hope the rest of you like it too. I still have plenty of free spots left for free requests!

Thank you Myr. :3 I'm sure I'll like it, as I hope you'll like yours. I'll put up a sketch for you to look at before I color it, too.
Don't mention it. And I'm glad you enjoyed the piece thus far.
Anyway, for you lucky souls out there, Aisha has asked that I put the link to the first piece of the story in this thread. I hope you all enjoy it as much as she has.

And a most cool story it is as well Myr. :3
Here also, finally, is a sketch of your request, Fjal, for ya.
Sketchin's. (http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c108/RisenDeCabre360/Requests/MyrsPic.jpg) I'll add the other colors and markings in Photoshop for ya, just thought I'd show you the sketch to see if it looks good to you so far before I do. :3
Hopefully the continuation will be just as good. *Chuckle*
Hmmm....
As is, it's actually rather close as to how I see him. Can't wait to see him colored, to be honest.
And here he is, colored. (http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c108/RisenDeCabre360/Requests/MyrsPic-1.png)
Heh, I tried as best I could with the descriptions given me about his coloring, and how it's supposed to be calico-ish. I had fun with it and I think I may have went overboard. xP
Sorry if it looks a bit haphazard, though. I made the stupid mistake of putting my lineart on the original background pic itself, rather than on a separate layer. x.x Thus I had to be very careful about coloring. I can redo the pic if it looks too bad...I just couldn't be bothered to redo the lineart.
Otherwise, I hope you like it, Myr! ^^
2 down, 2 to go.
Heheh, maybe a little overboard, but excellent! Thank you very much. And I'm glad you've had as much fun with drawing him as I have working on my end of our trade.
Speaking of which, part four of The Hunter's Path is up. Heh, if I'd known It was going to be so fun to do, and so darn big, I'd have made actual chapters...here it is:
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/2769963/
And now just a small update, to show I'm working on it...Kedered Sketch for Corgatha. (http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c108/RisenDeCabre360/Requests/RaidingtheSketchbook013.jpg)
I'll get it colored and give him his markings later...just thought I'd put up the sketch so far to see if it's good shape-wise and whatnot. :3
I'm thinking of getting the sketches of all my requests done before I do any coloring. The muse likes it that way. x3
Edit: And I just finished Lysias for Lysander, in sketch form. (http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c108/RisenDeCabre360/Requests/LysiasforLysander.jpg) Tried for an action pose this time. Think I got it down, hopefully. :3 Also tried to make him look more musteline than last time, with a narrower muzzle and rounded ears.
Ooo, so far I do like. He certainly has a more unique looking face, and I like the fuzzy ears. Interesting pose and view too. I look forward to the end result :) :januscat
And now finally, Corgatha's request, colored. (http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c108/RisenDeCabre360/Requests/KederedforCorgatha-1.png) 'Tis the jaguar incubus, Kedered. I redrew him and added the fancy clothes at Corgatha's suggestion, also redoing his pose completely to make him seem more like himself. x3
I also hope the body colors are correct. I wasn't given specifics, only that he was a jaguar and had spots. So, that's what I did. x3
Hope it's liked!
Doggone spotted cats... xP
Heheh, yep, they are a bit tricky to draw. I say good work.
The colors are wonderful, and the expression and stance..... Pure gold.
Thank you Myr, and Corgatha, many thanks, glad you liked your request. ^^
And now presenting my final one. Lysias for Lysander. (http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c108/RisenDeCabre360/Requests/LysiasforLysander-1.png)
I apologize for any awkwardness in the pose, I'm still trying to practice my action shots (the right arm in particular gave me trouble, as well as the position of the bow in respect to that). Still I think it came out well and I followed the description enough methink. :3 Enjoy!
I also have one free request slot left if anyone wants one. ^^
I'd say you did pretty dang good; I know I couldn't pull off a pose like that very well. Also great work on the colors. That many variations of gray would be difficult to pull of so you can determine one piece of clothing from another. The shading is great, as usual, and I like his bow very much. You're awesome, Aisha! :januscat

Heh, ah x3 Didn't even think I'd get a request so late. Heh, already did Jade, so I guess it's one of the others. :3 You just want a sketch, or colored?
S'all good to me.
New pic time! Apologies to Whitefox that it's not your request; I'm still trying to decide which character to draw. x3
Meanwhile, here's one I did just for fun.
Angel of the Falls (http://risendecabre.deviantart.com/art/Angel-of-the-Falls-139671084). When I was practicing my wings, this was what I thought of to put it to use.
Not sure if I should put even a very mild NSFW on this one. No clothes, but nothing showing either. I guess just in case someone has sticklers at work, there's your obligatory warning. x3
Guess I went a little bit haphazard on the snowy rocks and stuff. Other than that, I guess it came out well. ^^ Enjoy!
Cute, Aisha. I like it.
Sure the anatomy could stand some improvement - I think it's the slightly wobble in the lines that does it - but not enough to detract from the image as a whole. And that sort of thing is only going to improve with practice, so...
Yeah. *cough* Sorry, rambling a bit.

Heh, no worries Llearch. :3 Thanks for the comment. Yeah, I'm still practicing a bit on anatomy, moreover I'm used to drawing people from the front. xP
Of the most of your drawings so far, this one is the best. You have a tendency to make very fat torsos and then very skinny/short legs. This time, I don't see any of that. The torso looks great, the wings are splendid and the bit we can see of the legs is in proportion. This is an excellent picture and a big improvement. Great job Aisha.
Anatomy wanking aside, I love the water. It looks great. The effect you've used looks awesome here.

Anatomy wanking aside, I love the water. It looks great. The effect you've used looks awesome here.
Many thanks, Mao! ^^
I have been practicing anatomy a little bit lately with my pics. Probably the fact that I look on ones that have been done only months ago, and can definitely find something wrong with them, means I might be improving. x3 Glad that this one is liked as well. ^^
Nice wings! If you look at them closely, it seems like each wing comes out of a different part of the shoulder blade, and the face doesn't have the volume effect the rest of the picture has (maybe a little shading under the jaw and around the cheek would do the trick), but you've done an amazing job. Both the shape of the torso (and wings!) and the colors are impressive! And I love the way you shaded the hair, and the general dim lighting effect.

Thankya Gab! :hug Yeah, now that you mention it, the wings do look a tad awkward, but just a tad. Heh, I really oughta watch the slippage of the shading I'm prone to do as well. x3 Quite glad that you liked it though and thanks for the comments and the advice. :3
Perhaps I shall draw her again someday, I'm certainly proud of it, heh.
And now...new stuff.
This year for Halloween, I had decided not to go out and ask the public if they want characters in costumes...since nobody could ever figure out what to dress up as. xP But I had only mentioned it in an MSN chat with a few of my friends, and thus got requests for only two.
These are just the sketches so far...up for renovation and coloring hopefully by the Halloween deadline.
First is Cogidubnus, as a Masque of the Red Death pirate. (http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c108/RisenDeCabre360/Requests/CogCostume.jpg) Looks more like a noble swordsman with a foil right now, yeah, but wait'll I color it...this is more a pre-emptive sketch though, to see if I can get down the clothing layers and whatnot, and to see if it looks alright. Maybe copped out a bit on drawing an arm with that cape. xP But the style looks good on him, I must admit. :3 Perhaps I'll paint a skull on his muzzle to make him look more like the thing...
Second is Basilisk as a doctor, (http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c108/RisenDeCabre360/Requests/BasCostume.jpg) complete with the head thingy. I had fun with this sketch, first time I had ever drawn a canine that must look distinctly like a German Shepherd...much less a demon. x3 Before anyone says, yes, his wings are a bit smaller than Bas describes, but I promised to draw them longer later when he commissions me. :3 Hope that one looks good before coloring too.
And this one is another just-for-fun picture I did, just like the snow leopard angel. Meet the Felguard. (http://risendecabre.deviantart.com/art/The-Felguard-141324406) A demonic reptile I drew while practicing drawing leathery wings, this time.
I dunno whether to put a rating on this one. He's nekkid, but he's a reptile. There's nothing offensive. xP
Next time in my thread, shall be Whitefox's request, I promise; or may lightning strike me. XD
Oooo, the Cogidubnus picture looks like it will be good. Looks like you put some work into the face on Basilisk too. :januscat
Nice! I really like the Bas one :3 he looks so friendly.. but we know better.. >.> yes we do...
Aaaaand, the pics are colored and finished. :3
Costume pics are a bit belated for Halloween, but my muse was taking a break. But I showed them to their people before the holiday ended, and they loved them. x3 So here they are.
Doctor Bas (http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c108/RisenDeCabre360/Requests/BasCostume-1.png) in full color. "Next?" :3
Cogidubnus, buckling his swash as the red pirate. (http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c108/RisenDeCabre360/Requests/CogCostume-1.png) En guarde.
And also, as promised, I sketched out Whitefox's request. :3
DSoF's Theo. (http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c108/RisenDeCabre360/Requests/Theonor.jpg) I drew Jade once after all, I figure I'd try her significant other. Been a while since I drew a rodent, like last Christmas. xP So I hope he looks pretty nice and rat-like, and everything's in order, before I color him.
Enjoy!
Great coloring as always, Aisha! Love the pirate costume! :mowmeep

Awesome!
He looks rat like enough to me. He still looks like Theonor, too, despite the stylistic differences. Sweet.
There are some lines that show the underside of his arm; I usually wouldn't include those since the sleeve is so billowy.

The hat looks like it's stuck on the side of his head, rather then on it. Again, though, nice expression.
BTW: have you seen the tutorials at PSG7? There's a lot of good stuff there on lighting. (http://www.itchstudios.com/psg/art_tut.htm#light_stuff).
Thanks alot for the comments! And thanks for the lighting guide, Whitefox, it was quite useful. Still it can be a bit hard for me to jump out of my shading habits, but it'll certainly help with practice. x3
At any rate, I finally have Theonor colored: Right here. (http://risendecabre.deviantart.com/art/Requests-Theo-for-Whitefox-144748738) Thus my requests for this round are over and done with, and I can finally draw things for myself for the moment. :P
I hope it's liked! I fixed that underarm line thing too, it can be a bit hard to visualize how to draw a long flowing robe, but I hope I approximated it well enough. I need to find a cloak. x3
Also, I have a new Liz and Laan comic arch in the works. Ramin's Reunion, Page 1, can be found here. (http://risendecabre.deviantart.com/art/Ramin-s-Reunion-Page-1-144556408)
For anyone who remembers, it's a continuation of this old thing: Which still makes me giggle a little. x3 (http://risendecabre.deviantart.com/art/The-Aftermath-of-the-Visit-34457819)
Which in turn is the sequel-page to the last arch, The Visit, which I've completed. It starts here (http://risendecabre.deviantart.com/art/Visit-Page-1-26376462), and ends here. (http://risendecabre.deviantart.com/art/The-Visit-Page-25-143656305) Heh, I took so much time between pages that you can see how my art style has shifted from simply working the characters in MS Paint. I probably won't redo the first pages, as I like to show how my art (and crappy storytelling, perhaps) has evolved.
Y'all enjoy. :3

It is liked. It is very much liked indeed.
I picked the design for the robe (a mens 11th-century bliaut) specifically to work my cloth-drawing muscles. A lot of stuff in my comic is like that.

I know the feeling.
I'd like to say, by the way, that I think your art is much better then it looks. The characters are very expressive, in terms of facial features and body language. Particularly during conversations. The dialog feels natural, too, and the transitions from panel to panel are smooth. The scenes move along fluidly and easily. It's very enjoyable to read, and immersive (I've only read a page or three, but I might go through and read the whole thing when I can make time). Which is more then I can say for some comics, even if they're "better" drawn.
There's a part of drawing that's hard to explain. It's the part where you get into a characters head, and draw what they're thinking and feeling. It calls for little nuances of facial expressions that go past smilie and frownie faces... I think you do that pretty well. Most people only draw a character skin deep.
Stuff like lighting and anatomy... that comes with time and practice.
Sorry, I'm rambling now. Anyway, thank you for the art, and I like your comics.

Heh, I don't mind the rambling.
And thanks for the comments, again I'm glad you liked the pic, and the comics. It's rather funny actually, to find out what strengths and weaknesses I have when creating characters and having them interact...I hear from a few artists that have trouble depicting emotion, and yet that kind of thing comes naturally to me, it seems. That at least I am proud of, that if the character may not look good artistically I can still convey emotion and personality.
Here's hoping that I can keep that up as my artwork improves. x3
And now, this post is reserved for a very small art update. x3
Page 2 of Ramin's Reunion. (http://risendecabre.deviantart.com/art/Ramin-s-Reunion-Page-2-145252581) I plan on updating this every Monday providing I can still sketch up buffer pages every little bit.

And now page 3. (http://risendecabre.deviantart.com/art/Ramin-s-Reunion-Page-3-146038580) I think I found an update schedule that works for me.
The comic'll probably be the only piece of new art I put up until Christmas though... >.>
Ah well, hope peeps are enjoying. x3
I love her expression in third panel :3... it's just so... *Foot heading for mouth at mach 3*

Also for your enjoyment, Page 4. (http://risendecabre.deviantart.com/art/Ramin-s-Reunion-Page-4-146640328) I'm good with updating this thing every Monday, but not on the forums for some reason. xP
It may seem cliché to have a main character be a part of a hunted kind in the past, but what's a story without a little bit of trouble? Heh...I may expand on the whole Psionic thing at one point. One thing's for sure, I promise that's not a plot point in this little arc. :3

Speaking of commissions, remember that I'm always open for them. The details are linked to on the front page of the art thread.
I announce also hitherto that I really would like to get a bit of extra money, as I plan to get to Anthrocon and meet some of you guys. So whatever help can be offered in exchange for my arting would be very, very much appreciated. ^^

Poor Aisha. :hug
Whatever's caused you to feel that way, I hope it's over soon. Your drawing is great, and page 13 seems suspenseful and a bit ominous.
And here we go, page 14 (http://risendecabre.deviantart.com/art/Ramin-s-Reunion-Page-14-152582384). It's been laying around on DA for a while, I was gonna wait until I could get the next page done too, but I thought I'd be nice since I won't be drawing for a while.
The story's on my DA journal, but long story short, I had an accident at work and my right arm is out of commission for at least 3 weeks; so there won't be any more art from me for a while. >: Just to let y'all know. Writings will be slow in coming too.
Argh, I'm gonna be SO BORED...
Oh, sorry to hear that. :( I hopeyou get well soon. :hug
That's an unusual sunset color, but I've seen it a couple of times (and I was quite impressed when it happened).
I feel sorry for Liz now.
Oh, and the extra information you provided was very interesting.
Allllrighty then, time to submit a little something just to keep the thread up. :3 My wrist is still healing up, and it should be one more week before my stitches are removed. Meanwhile I thought I'd show you guys some sketches that need to be colored yet.
First, I've been having a new set of requests done on DeviantArt: caricatures of a sort. This (http://risendecabre.deviantart.com/journal/29393567/) journal page gives the rules. Basically, if you like my dragon comics and wondered what you yourself would look like as one of them, this may interest you. :3
These are the first 3 sketches: Lysander (http://risendecabre.deviantart.com/art/Dragified-Uncolored-1-156756806), Dragonaide (http://risendecabre.deviantart.com/art/Dragified-Uncolored-2-156757173), a DA watcher of mine, and Basilisk (http://risendecabre.deviantart.com/art/Dragified-Uncolored-3-156757360). They will all look better colored, I'm sure, but for preview purposes, there. x3
Also, I've had the final pages of Ramin's Reunion sketched out for a while now, so I figured I'll put them up as a preview before I color them. Exclusive for you all before DA. :3
Page 15 (http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c108/RisenDeCabre360/New%20Art/RaminsReunionPages015.jpg), Page 16 (http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c108/RisenDeCabre360/New%20Art/RaminsReunionPages016.jpg), and Page 17. (http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c108/RisenDeCabre360/New%20Art/RaminsReunionPages017.jpg) Sorry about the dialogue. My handwriting is a bit pokey when I'm not trying to be neat, I know. x3
Warning: Dialogue and some designs are most likely subject to change as the pages are colored. :3
Enjoy!
Yeah, the text is extremely hard to read in the scans - if only because the shrinking blurs it somewhat. :-/
The first one, especially, but parts of the other two as well.
Aside from that, the art looks excellent. Can't wait to see it coloured.
Nice dragifications!
The new pages look interesting, but I couldn't read some of the text in the darker parts. I'll wait and read them again when the final version is up.

Thanks Gab! And no worries; that kinda works for me, as I wanted to post the page sketches but felt weird about spoiling the story. But heck, it's only 3 pages. x3 Once they're colored they'll be better and coherent.
Plus for anyone curious, the sketches give a glimpse of how I actually draw. I only use a guide for the head, and the rest is free-hand (plus some erasings seen on the paper a bit there, as I tend to correct myself alot with this method). x3
Even without the dialog, you really get the feeling there's a conversation going on. Awesomes.
D'aww... they're brushing tails. :3
I don't know how you can draw like that... I have to use fifty billion circles and guidelines to do anything. :<

x3 Heh, some people's styles, I suppose. I'm good at drawing from memory where things go and how things more or less look, but I must have a guide for the head, for the size of it and for facial expressions. Now that I think about it, maybe I'll use one for limbs, as that's become hardest now.
Speaking of which, I now have page 15 (http://risendecabre.deviantart.com/art/Ramin-s-Reunion-Page-15-157509035) up finally. x3 I got my cast off today and can use my right hand again, but sadly, I'll have to undergo a bit of therapy before I can hold a pencil up long enough to draw anything. >:

Out of the Dark (http://risendecabre.deviantart.com/art/Out-of-the-Dark-157695261) is the newest picture I've sketched, since now I finally got my write hand able to hold a pencil again. As for the subject, it came up randomly after a conversation about raccoons in an MSN chat. x3 All my friends in said conversation know who you are. :3
The next Ramin's Reunion Page (http://risendecabre.deviantart.com/art/Ramin-s-Reunion-Page-16-158113255), finally texted up.
And, my latest commission was finally finished. Bas and Aleyna (http://risendecabre.deviantart.com/art/Commish-Baseel-and-Aleyna-158132554), two demons dressed in their best and sharing a dance. Very glad it was liked, Bas. :3
Enjoy!
Apologies for the double-post...but now, one more pic. x3
I decided to hop on the 100 Themes Challenge bandwagon and finished coloring my first one today. It's going to be based on Aisha's backstory, but unlike Tales of the Risen, the pictures will cover not only the past, but visions of the present and future as well. It may also focus on her friends, family, and even foes...heck, maybe even characters belonging to other people that have become a part of her canon (such as Gareeku, as per Furrae Chronicles). I hopefully won't get too spoileriffic with them, but then again, I'm not too worried as I don't know if more than three people read the stuff. x3
At any rate, it's for a bit of character development and practicing art on Aisha's part, and for those of you who'd like to join me for the ride, you're welcome.
#1: Introduction (http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c108/RisenDeCabre360/New%20Art/1--Introduction.png) seemed like a good place to start. Aisha herself, surrounded by three of her oldest friends/pseudo-family members of the monastery where she stays: Jake the gryphon, knight guard of the grounds; Cheyenne the succubus, rookie healer and member of clan Mraisae; and Mistress Rynkura Msh'taan the tiger angel, head of the Monastery and Aisha's godmother and mentor.
I must admit, I'm glad to have finally gotten a good head design down for both Rynkura and Cheyenne. x3 I don't expect to finish the entire bunch of challenges, but it's nice to have something to do if a muse runs out of ideas.
Hope that y'all like it. And even if not, there it is anyway. :P
The final page of Ramin's Reunion (http://risendecabre.deviantart.com/art/Ramin-s-Reunion-Page-17-158877378), now up.
I hope you guys liked it as much as I enjoyed writing the story. If you did or didn't, I would liked to hear about it. I always appreciate feedback, after all. ^^
I would say more, but I've not been feeling well, so I'll just say, thanks for reading? :hug Yeah, that sounds okay. x3

You must have enjoyed it a lot then.
I have enjoyed it quite a bit, actually. I like the ending, as for now it is a happy one. Thanks for the added info, it made the story more interesting.
Hope you feel better soon.
Aww, cute. ^_^
Thanks you guys, for your nice comments. ^^ I'm glad that people liked the story, at least those of you who have both read and let me know what you thought.
I finished coloring a new one-shot page here (http://risendecabre.deviantart.com/art/L-and-L-Tac-s-Talent-159692062) too, if anyone likes. I was going for a bit of humor, but so far I've only gotten some rather lax reactions. It's the kinda thing that makes me wonder if the effort I put into this (and it was a lot of effort, from all that linearting to trying to space the speech bubbles and trying not to be lazy on the shading) is even worth the amount of feedback I usually get.
Lysander's (http://risendecabre.deviantart.com/art/Dragified-Lysander-159308734) Dragification is finished anyway, and Bas's will be finished soon. I'll throw in the last (http://risendecabre.deviantart.com/art/Dragified-Dragoniade-159325729) to show for the heck of it.
Enjoy, and please pardon my mood. ^^;; Justified or not, it's still there.
Scythe's expressions in the sixth and seventh panels are priceless. Strength and a deft touch, nice!
For what it's worth, I think you effort is well worth it.

The best reason to make comics is that you want to. It's satisfying. Feedback is just a way to hang out with other artists and talk about what you do.
Of course, most of the feedback you get come from fans, not artists, so 9 times out of 10 it's pretty useless and insipid.
The effort you go through means that you are continuing to improve your work. It's a good sign, and it's clearly paying off.
[edit] Tthat comic is hilarious, by the way.
I enjoyed the comic, too, Aisha. I have to wonder how the card castle is still standing, as well - those things are amazingly fragile...
luck?
Law of funny?
Don't give up, Aisha! I enjoy your comics. If I take some time to reply it's only because a) I haven't noticed the update or b) I'm to busy but I will try to reply soon.
I liked the way the cards remained in their place. He does have some talent!
And I like Lysander's dragification picture too. His face seems a bit flat in comparison to the rest of his body, but I like the facial expression. Also his hair and the way his wings are folded. (http://www.pokemasters.net/forums/images/smilies/yes.gif)
Bas's (http://risendecabre.deviantart.com/art/Dragified-Basilisk-159941546) Dragification is complete! :3 I'm glad he enjoyed it, and at the moment I've yet one more to do.
Also, I want to thank everybody very much for the kind words; I feel a little silly, worrying about feedback. In truth I really do like to draw very much, and I do so often for myself, for the practice. The extra pics in my sketchbook that may not ever be seen kinda vouch for that. x3 It's just nice to know when people like it if I -do- do something for them.
But anyway:

Buahaha, I thought so. xP But yeah, hilarity aside, what you say rings true. I do appreciate it more when discussing art with artists and I get advice to improve myself. If you go more for the latter, odds are you might get more anti-fans too. :B (My first two Dragifications got trolled on by an anthro-hater. Idjits.) >>

#25: Trouble Lurking. (http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c108/RisenDeCabre360/New%20Art/25--TroubleLurking.png) The next of my 100 Themes in line to be done. :3
An exhausted ex-adventurer Luc Cabre, having said good night to his daughter only a few hours ago, flops asleep almost instantly on his couch with but only a small circle of illumination by a nearby lamp. Little does he sense that his doom peers behind him from the window, in the form of a demon, as the rest of the little village is entering the moment of siege.
x3 This is the first drawing of Aisha's father that I've ever done. He seems to have come out skinnier than I had planned, but otherwise, I don't have a qualm with it. :3
Enjoy, guys!
He doesn't look that skinny to me; maybe that's just my view on things.
Nice eyes, though maybe a touch too bright; I'd kinda wonder how he couldn't miss them...
Echoing that his build looks fine. His pose is good, he really does look so exhausted. His tail is kind of weird because it's hard to tell where it's coming from, but the shading looks good in making the eyes in the window look more menacing.
I like it C:

Heheh; it's probably just the clothes, or the head; I dunno, for some odd reason, some builds don't come out well. Still working on sizing.
As for the eyes, though, one could argue that he's just that far into sleep. He has a lantern shining in his left eyelid too, after all. x3

Heh, always nice to hear from others, thank you! (Btw, the comic in your sig, looks like something worthy to check out at some point x3). The tail though...yeah, I admit, it was a little awkward to position. He had to have a tail coming out of somewhere. x3 And sometimes elements that don't necessarily need to have a static pose (depending on the mood, otherwise), like a tail, tends to be drawn at random. In this case he was laying with it curled upward and poking out of his side and over the leg.
In hindsight, maybe it should've gone over the vest...
Ah well. :B Glad to know y'all liked ol' Luc's first appearance, however lax it was. :3
hmm...as fascinating as this hundred themes challenge is I wonder if anyone has tried to create a sustainable coherent storyline with one theme per page without damaging the integrity of said story.

Heh; I don't doubt that it's possible for an imaginative writer to do. But it would be a little too tedious I bet, and especially for me. :B I find it a better idea to take the themes, choose what you want to do it on, and just let it inspire you.
I'd like to see someone try it though.
At any rate, for those of you who were interested in it before, a new page of Cariu (http://risendecabre.deviantart.com/art/Cariu-Page-16-161326954) has finally been put up, allowing me to continue the story. If I can keep up and keep stress out of it, a new page will be put up every Monday. Once-a-week always seems like a manageable update schedule for me, upon experimenting with things.
Enjoy. x3

At any rate, the new page of said comic will be up on Monday...for the filler moment, I present my next 100 Themes portion.
#74: Are You Challenging Me? (http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c108/RisenDeCabre360/New%20Art/74--AreYouChallengingMe.png) Heh, it took me a bit to come up with ideas for this one, as there are so many possibilities when you're working with an adventurer and her entire family.
Then, chatting with Gareeku, I had an idea. We'd agreed some time ago that in the past of our timelines, Gar's father Siriso and Aisha's father Luc were rival adventurers. So, why not use that?
There they are, the jaguar looking kinda smug as he prepares to go toe-to-toe with the white wolf. As I pointed out before, the pictures won't just be about Aisha, but her kin. :3
Apologies if Luc looks awkward though, I still need practice with drawing characters from behind, and especially at an angle... << >>
Enjoy!

Heh, I hope I don't disappoint, then :3
Also, if you mean "saber" as the sword that Siriso's holding, that's supposed to be his katana. :B Just goes to show how inept I am at objects still. ^^;
EDIT: And now, the new page. (http://risendecabre.deviantart.com/art/Cariu-Page-17-162063627) Heh, I seem to rather like messing with cliffhangers these days. x3 Nice and easy to color this time too.
Since I didn't have much to say, and my art thread was still up, I thought I'd just edit this post. x3 Hope people can see it.
Yup, I saw it.
Always interesting seeing what happens next...
Heh heh. Why is it that whenever someone says "this won't hurt a bit" or "You'll feel a slight sensation", even if they are supposed to be a friend, it's always a lie? xD
See it, also, and yeah, cliffhanger is a good word.
I was thinking saber because recently I was at a fencing club exhibition where they demonstrated the differences between foil, epee, and saber, so it wasn't your ability at drawing objects more my being fixated on the saber demonstration. ;-]

Heh, ah, alright then. x3 I was wondering. I'd probably do the same thing if I were attending a talk about swords; such is my fascination with them myself.
Well, anyway, now for the new pics. x3
First, as promised, Cariu (http://risendecabre.deviantart.com/art/Cariu-Page-18-162834700) has updated. As I said in the comments on the pic, I hope I have offset the disappointment of a word-heavy splash page with some deliciously foreshadowing drama. :B
Also the next 100 Themes pic, #75: Mirror. (http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c108/RisenDeCabre360/New%20Art/75--Mirror.png) I had fun trying to draw this, as I have had a -lot- of trouble trying to duplicate a reflection in that thing by pencil. So I ended up faking it in Photoshop. ^^;;
The story behind the pic: Even before she was an adventurer, Aisha was never very girly-girl. She never liked to attend formal parties, and you'd have to practically pull her by the tail to try on a dress. But at one point, as part of an adventure, she and her party had to infiltrate a posh night club. And that meant reluctantly parting with her weapons for a while and going along with it.
This is her with the dress she eventually chose, and the uncomfortable look in her face betrays the want to just get the whole thing over with. Still, in the end, one could say she had a little bit of fun anyway. Before all hell broke loose. :3
Heh, enjoy both, all.
Those images are so sad! Even the last one. Aisha looks like she's really upset, or at least very worried. Was she afraid she would mess things up for not knowing the proper way to act in such a situation? Or was she that annoyed by having to wear a dress?
Quote from: Gabi on May 03, 2010, 04:36:16 PM

Both, really. But considering you're the second person I've shown the picture to who mistook Aisha's rather embarrassed (she's supposed to be blushing) look for one of sadness, I should've probably toned the look down a bit. :B
And so, I update with today's page of Cariu. (http://risendecabre.deviantart.com/art/Cariu-Page-19-163610135) Hope you enjoy! x3 I seem to be getting the hang of working on a comic's pacing, hopefully.
That's the only update I have for art right now. RL things are kinda kicking my muse around, but these are at least easy to do.
Blood, but I need to get back to writing... :B
I'm not so sure I would want to vividly relive all my past experiences. Some I am happy to have the veil of time cloud up a bit.
I get the impression Aramos is helping support Cariu in the last panel. Perhaps helping her to the air pocket?
Wow, so many memories, how many will we be privy to? Nice update!

Heh, actually, he's just helped the machine's headgear off of Cariu's head, hence the little *pop* sound effect there. x3 But, I do like to show that ol' Aramos is quite helpful in his own ways. He would help her to the surface if she couldn't swim.
And thanks! :3 You'll know of some of the memories in future chapters, but I doubt that I'll show them all. It's a bit more fun and more mysterious that way.

<fwiw>
Memory is an interesting thing. People tend to think of it like a video recording, but it's actually more like a series of snapshots and impressions. Adrenalin will strengthen memory formation, which is why so many of our strongest memories are moments of fear or anger.
I have more then a few painful memories myself. I try to keep in mind that there were pleasant times in there too, even if I don't remember them as strongly.
I'm pretty retrospective on the bad times, too. As painful as some memories can be, they fade with time. That's when I wish I could remember them more clearly, because it's hard to answer questions about what went wrong when you can't quite remember just what really happened. Were there warning signs? Was I the only one responsible for what happened? Will it happen again if I don't figure this out? I'm still afraid of dating again, in case things turn out just like last time.
If I had the chance to go back through it all, clearly, I think I would.
</fwiw>
On the one hand, I really wish I knew what was going on. On the other hand, flashbacks are kinda tedious. So... Hm. I guess I'll just have to be patient. And keep coming back for more.
Well played, Aisha... Well played.
I just noticed Aramos has a cable coming out of his flipper. I don't think that was there in any of the other page... Curious.
By the way... that *Pop* SFX really sells it. Lawls were had.

Bahaha *bows* Many thanks x3 Glad you liked it. I knew I was glad somehow about keeping the sound effect in, too; I have certain friends-who-think-too-much, who wondered if the sound effect would even happen underwater. :B Live n' think, I guess.
Also, yeah, if you check carefully, Aramos always had the little string coming out of his dorsal fin. Heh, something random I threw in, to add to his character I guess. Scars and markings like that make a character a little more defined and interesting visually, so you're not just dealing with a run-of-the-mill critter. That little feature...I'll let you know what it's about
when I think of it uh, sometime. :3
Now without further adieu, I haz the next update. Enjoy page 20 (http://risendecabre.deviantart.com/art/Cariu-Page-20-164393182) if ye will.
I also have another picture, which was kinda inspired by a conversation with the peeps here I talk to on MSN alot, about bats. x3 Namely if you had a bat character, and me thinking that I should really try drawing one, as I never have before.
Behold. (http://risendecabre.deviantart.com/art/Nocturnal-Nightwalk-164034354) Alexander, a rather articulate and happy gentleman and his sidekick out for an exploration of the city. Heh, as some of them will tell you though (and as the description says, along with all the other reasonings), I also used the pic as an excuse to draw a Honduran White Bat, which -must- be the cutest lil' teeny bats in all creation. :B As far as trying an anthro chiropteran, it seems to have come out quite well.
I created quite a few random characters now...I wonder if I shall lump them into the same universe, or use one for an RP to join just for fun...I already wanna draw this guy again. xP
Anyway!
Mr. deBat is quite the dapper Gentleman!
I am a bit curious as Cariu is as to how Aramos came to be the guardian of such a place. Very nice update, Aisha!
And now for the next page. (http://risendecabre.deviantart.com/art/Cariu-Page-21-165224909)
Heh, I haven't been too artsy lately I admit, what with going back to work and helping out with the house...but at least it doesn't take very long to do a page at the moment, what with my style. xP
I do wonder if Aramos is telling the whole story. :3
Enjoy!
It does seem Aramos is skirting the question.
I think the lighting effects came off quite well, as I immediately interpreted it as the water surface under the doom dome. Well done!

New Page (http://risendecabre.deviantart.com/art/Cariu-Page-22-165955748), as promised. :3 I'm glad that people are enjoying the story. I admit I'm enjoying trying to flesh out Aramos a little bit in the script. This has led to me fleshing it out a little more as I go.
Also, I felt like drawing something funny out of the Liz and Laan universe, so here's a one-shot starring Ramin. (http://risendecabre.deviantart.com/art/L-and-L-Warriors-166010993) Heh, more often than not, whenever my muse craves a dose of badass, it often comes with ridicule. xP
It's come to my attention that I should probably draw some more of my female characters to balance out all the male fighters appearing quite a bit in the thing. :B I do know peeps who'd like that...
Anyway, enjoy.
And we have another New Cariu page (http://risendecabre.deviantart.com/art/Cariu-Page-23-166934648), a day late. Real life has been kinda kicking me and my muse around lately, what with various disappointments and the excitement surrounding my being able to go to AC.
Regardless, I hope everyone enjoys. ^^ And I hope everyone enjoyed the Liz and Laan comic I threw in on the last post. x3 I have another one drawn up too, as well as another 100 Themes pic, both to color and post here later.
Ah, real life; as long as it doesn't chase your muse away completely! :) (Have fun at AC)
i think this comic opens up more questions, than gives answers for me... but, i suppose i'll hold off on some of the more obvious ones for a few more pages, lest they be answered there.
as for the artwork itself, i do like silhouette use, and you did an excellent job on the rather difficult pose from behind in the last panel... i guess my only question (and mostly because i used to want to be an oceanographer before deciding on med-school) Aren't dolphin's dorsal fins just a bit taller? perhaps it's just the angle and me being tired... but my mental image seems to have the fin being taller, and more angular :B

Heh, which dolphin? :p Only a bit of Aramos's head and piece of armor can be seen in the last panel. Cariu's however was hard to get right from behind, and hard to get a hooked tip right from behind as well, but generally a female Orca's dorsal fin is short and curved, and hers is no exception.
i was talking about Aramos... soo... that's armor :o... gotcha...
And now, to fill the gap, another funny one-shot Liz and Laan (http://risendecabre.deviantart.com/art/L-And-L-Accents-167276180) page, with Liz just hangin' out at the wall while Bairus tells a story, probably while Ramin is practicing in the last page and also while the family reunion's still going on. x3 Mind the blurriness in some places, I tried a little something new with the page in Photoshop, which didn't quite work out and that I couldn't fix after. :rolleyes
Heh, I find it funny how I'm putting just as much focus on background characters as I am the main characters, sometimes...like the parents. I just like to give a bit of life to those hangin' out in the scenes. My comic never fulfills the trope "Adults Are Useless", anyway. :U
And like it says in the description, no offense is intended to anyone. :B
Enjoy!
That expression in panel four is pure gold. The inking looks kinda... fuzzy.
Recently, I started playing card games with the rest of my family. Mom gets a whole new vocabulary when the chips are down... its surreal.

Heheh; dialects fascinate me so. You never know what people have picked up.
And yeah; I've been trying to find a way to make the lineart on Photoshop (I use the Pencil tool to trace, it's less of a hassle) less jagged. :B Going pixel-by-pixel with the blur tool, perhaps? I appreciate suggestions. ^^
At any rate, I have a new pic. :B It's not colored, I know, but I'm rather proud of it, especially considering how well it looks when scanned...s'right, I finally know how to use the scanner, and now my sketch previews won't look so freakin' wonky. xP
It's Aisha (http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c108/RisenDeCabre360/Sketches/TheBountyHunter.jpg) doing what she does best; scaring the bejeezus out of her bounty target before tearing the bejeezus out of them. :3 To be colored fairly soon.
Also, Cariu readers, I had to take today to finish actually drawing the pages...BUT, tomorrow, y'all will get
two pages this update instead of just one. :3 Since these are the final two pages of this little chapter, I thought it right to not let the ending linger. ^^
Enjoy!

I scan and work on an image at a high resolution, then shrink it down for the final version. A lot of imperfections get minimized, and anti-aliases the lines nicely. Turnsky told me that trick.
I like to scan images in grayscale, and work on them with a hard edge airbrush. To get rid of any smudges or partially erased pencil lines, I use Levels in Photoshop (One quick Google: http://www.cambridgeincolour.com/tutorials/levels.htm ). I use grayscale scans and an airbrush because if the image is anti-aliased to begin with, they look that much better after being shrunk down. I don't need B/W linework to colour a pic, tho.

Nice expression. The sword might look better if it weren't pointing directly at the camera, tho.

Heh, thanks! I might just try that trick sometime. :3 I'm always up for experimenting. Also she's holding a dagger; I had a bit of trouble with how she's holding it, I agree...heh, but, maybe it still works for a view from her victim.
At any rate. x3 As promised, pages 24 (http://risendecabre.deviantart.com/art/Cariu-Page-24-167757229) and 25 (http://risendecabre.deviantart.com/art/Cariu-Page-25-167814370), the final two pages of the first chapter of Cariu, are done.
Hope you all enjoy. ^^ Feel free to ask questions, I'm sure there are a few. But one thing's for certain, I really enjoyed all the feedback and advice that I got. I thank everyone on DeviantArt, and I thank everyone here as well. If you liked it or hated it, whatever, please let me know. ^^

I enjoyed it.
There were a lot of things hinted at but unsaid... actually, I think there were more things unsaid then said... but the comic really gave me the feeling that there was a much bigger world, and many more things happening, then we were shown. I love that.
Besides. Backstory is usually pretty boring anyway.
While I haven't really been saying much, I have been enjoying the Cairu comic quite a bit. It was a nice little "mystery", and I loved the point of view from intelligent cetaceans. Great job! :)
I have no idea about what whitefox is saying about backstory being boring, though :aack
I thank you guys very much for the feedback. ^^ It's good to know that people have enjoyed the comic, and it gives me a bit more incentive than just from my muse to continue it. :3
At any rate, I did a few more pictures, just to satisfy my want to do some art before getting ready for Anthrocon. x3
This is the badge (http://risendecabre.deviantart.com/art/Aisha-Con-badge-168520318?q=1&qo=1) that I'll be wearing, in fact. :B At least until perhaps I can commission a better one from some of the awesome artists out there. ^^
Speaking of Aisha, I colored the sketch above (http://risendecabre.deviantart.com/art/The-Bounty-Hunter-168066993?q=1&qo=1), but I may redo it due to the fact that an experiment I tried with using the 1-pixel pencil tool didn't work quite as well as I thought it would. :B But at any rate, I got the pose down, that I'm happy about, and I was experimenting with a new set of colors for Aisha's cape. While even blood-red is too bright for a stealth-oriented bounty hunter, it's still a trademark of hers, and someone suggested gray with red in it.
Anyone else have suggestions? ^^; I'm hesitant to give her a black cape because I didn't want it to blend with her fur. But then again, maybe that's the point...I may use the next suggestion when I re-do the pic.
Also, if anyone here is a fan of the Ginga anime series, Here's some post-Father's Day fanart with Gin and Weed. (http://risendecabre.deviantart.com/art/GDW-Father-and-Son-168558017?q=1&qo=1) I'm currently proud of how it came out in my style. I can never come close to the anime, but to be quite honest, the anime's art can be very lacking anyway. x3
And last--but most certainly not least--Some giftart I did for Gareeku (http://risendecabre.deviantart.com/art/Catch-Me-If-You-Can-167944296?q=1&qo=1), just to bring some light to his all-too-busy days. I can only guess...and hope...that he liked it. ^^
I hope all of you like the art too. More than likely, I'll see some of you at Anthrocon, and me and my art supplies would be happy to put a free sketch (or, maybe trades, hint-hint?) in some people's books. :3
Enjoy!
I'm just posting to say I'm enjoying your comic too.
And you already have something from me on each of your 2 sketchbooks.
Just wanted to apologize for not commenting more as I, too, am still enjoying the comics. I really like the one-page "slice of life" comics. They add to the overall depth of the characters. I want to thank you again for sharing your talent!

And I love 'em both. xP It was awesome to meet you at the con!
And speaking of AC, I just wanted to update this thing with one little thing I colored. I sketched it while I was there. Inspired by the dances at Anthrocon, Aisha at a rave. (http://risendecabre.deviantart.com/art/At-The-Rave-169336468) Heh, a rare look at a side where she just has fun. Even if she still wears blood-red as her primary color. x3

Hur-hur-hur. :B And there goes Aisha "accidentally" dance-dancing on one's foot...
Seriously though, many thanks! ^^ I had real fun with that picture, I'm sure Aisha didn't mind being a model either for once. x3
But now, new pics! Or rather, old pics, new coloring style. I found a few tutorials on DeviantArt while browsing a new fave artist that seemed worth a shot.
The first result is here, (http://risendecabre.deviantart.com/art/The-Bounty-Hunter-Recolor-168066993) in the re-coloring of The Bounty Hunter that I promised I'd do. This time also her cape is straight black; I've decided that I'm keeping the trick of having her cape change colors at will, and that red is just her traveling color. :B
I shall have to mix styles--as I like how I used to shade hair--but in the end I think it came out pretty well. Like a Disney animation screenshot, but totally
horrible amateur. x3
And the second instance of the coloring was used here (http://risendecabre.deviantart.com/art/The-Leap-of-Faith-Colored-170235632), if anyone remembers the "Leap of Faith" wolf sketch from a while ago.
Heh, if refined, this method could prove to be quite neat. :3
Anyway, enjoy!
Nice shadows and lights! What does your new method consist of, if I may ask?

Thanks! ^^ And it probably won't deviate too much from my current style, actually; it consists of a few things I've always wanted to learn how to do, like not being lazy with the paintbrush tool, coloring the line-art itself, and less-than-messy shading. Plus, I've been told a good trick is re-sizing up and back down again, but not -how-.
This (http://djcoulzanimalsonly.deviantart.com/art/Basic-Coloring-Tutorial-New-157084745) is the tutorial I used that covers all that, pretty much. Yeah, it's probably an over-used style, but I still thought it worth a try. x3 One of the things I still do different from that is use the pen tool and trace over it to create the line-art, instead of going over it by hand. I'm too impatient for that. :B

Scan the image at a high resolution, then shrink it down (Edit>Image Size in Photoshop. Not to be confused with Canvas Size) when you're done. I use a scan resolution of 300dpi (dots per inch) when I scan artwork, and reduce it to a quarter of that size when it's finished.
It's 4AM... I will make comments on the arts when the stuff I type isn't so blurry. Apologies for not being able to do so now.

Heheh; well like I said, I had gathered as much from the tutorial, anyway. ^^; Thanks though!
The shadows are improving... Not 100% there, but progress is notable. The characters have a better sense of shape and volume.
The shadows still look artificial, though. I think thats because the fade distance from light to shadow is always the same. I don't use an airbrush, so I'm not sure what to suggest there... maybe if you changed the hardness or size of the brush for different areas.

Yeah, I think so too...I love shading, but one of my biggest problems is laziness. I tend to take the shadows to the largest sides of the figure rather than going in and also shading things like between the fingers. ^^;; I shall have to learn to take my time with my works.
Anyway, I have just one new picture to post. A request I did for Zedd. (http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c108/RisenDeCabre360/New%20Art/Requests--MarioMaxxwellJr.png) I'm glad he liked it, though I'm still sorry I can't fix the fact that the horn should be shorter. x3
Otherwise, I have an announcement: I'm on Fur Affinity (http://www.furaffinity.net/user/aishadecabre/) now. :3 So anyone here who doesn't have a DA but has an FA, g'ahead and watch me. I'm still putting up all my good works, but the gallery's still small enough. I still need to put all my comics up. x3
Enjoy!
Heh, I was just on FA last night as I only occasionaly am, and I saw a thumbnail of a pic on the front page... "Hey, I recognize that style..." *click* "Oh! It -is- Aisha! I didn't know she was on FA!" *watch* "Oh, she just got here yesterday xD"

Heheh xP I have a way of coming up unnoticed like that. I'd claim to be a ninja if I had the actual training. :B
Anyway, neeeew picture. :3 Aisha -- Mood in Red (http://risendecabre.deviantart.com/art/Aisha-Mood-in-Red-171185415). Warning, slightly NSFW.
I'd decided to make her the subject of an art experiment (which she doesn't like, so she came out looking pretty bored x3) Namely, using only one color for everything. Using Photoshop I just used varying shades in the red palette. From black-red of the fur to all the way to the pinks of her eyes. x3
I really like how it came out, myself. I wanna do more color themes with other characters. xP

And to anyone who just jumps over to the last post, warning, slightly NSFW. x3
Mmkay, well...I hope the above art was liked. Thought there'd be more to say about it, but oh well. x3 The photobucket link's there. Now though, here's new stuff. You guys oughta hopefully be able to see the links.
First, I made a cover page (http://risendecabre.deviantart.com/art/Cariu-Intro-Title-Page-171249402) for the finished chapter of Cariu. Fans of that one oughta enjoy it. x3
And on the Aisha side, #2 of 100 Themes: Love. (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4171429) Three guesses as to whom it features. :3
Enjoy!
Well, for the first pic, I dunno if there was much anyone could say that wouldn't seem perverted...although yes, I do think you captured the "mood" quite well ;)
For the Cairu cover-page... tail-kamehameha? :P
And indeed, the 100 themes pic is quite touching :)

Heh, I expected so for the first picture, really. :B In hindsight I guess I congratulate people for remembering that I'm only semi-tolerant of such remarks. xP Still, on the coloring style or how closely I did to a one-color-only thing...yeah.
And as for Cariu; very funny. :p For anyone who hasn't read the comic and sees this, that's a giant memory orb in the background there. x3
And finally, thanks much! ^^ Glad I caught what I was going for.
New art. xP A bunch of ya may have already seen a couple of these, but I figured I'd post 'em anyway. x3
First, a completed commission for Paladin: The Hunt. (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4176300) Starring a draggified Ephrael and Jade sneaking up on a rather clueless male dragon, who by request turned out to be Basilisk. x3 I still offer my apologies Bas, sometime I'll draw Dragon-Bas looking all cool to make up for it. :B Still open for commissions as always. Info at the moment is now also on the front page of my FA page.
Also, I have completed another of my 100 Themes: #50: Breaking The Rules. (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4202120) Starring a younger Aisha and Jake. x3 This one came out rushed, I think, but I wanted to convey the emotion more than make the whole thing look good.
And finally, another color theme: Mood in Yellow, with Jake; Warning, slightly NSFW. (http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c108/RisenDeCabre360/New%20Art/Jakoba--MoodinYellow.png) 'Cause I liked how the first one came out and I wanted to do one with one of my male characters. Mostly as I was inspired, and also to balance it out. :B
Heh, enjoy, more later.
I am really enjoying your color themes! Thanks for sharing!
I've just noted your latest picture. I think you've portrayed their emotions very well.
And I guessed at the first try. ;)
Thanks for the reply, Gab. ^^
But anyway, now I got some newish art, might as well put it here as I keep putting it off doing so. x3
First, my first REAL bit of DMFA fanart, starring Dan. (http://risendecabre.deviantart.com/art/DMFA-Dan-s-Challenge-172828214) I oughta draw DMFA characters more often since I'm here. x3
Also, another color-theme picture, with Rynkura. (http://risendecabre.deviantart.com/art/Rynkura-Mood-in-Green-172943183) Don't worry, this one's safe to view. And safe to comment on. :p
Got a couple of draggifications, too. Since Bas was featured in Pal's commission by request, I'd promised him that he'd get a dragon picture worth Baseel's badassness. This was the result. (http://risendecabre.deviantart.com/art/You-Who-Cross-Me-173219311) And since I wanted to draw another one, I introduce to you Wuff's character Chance (http://risendecabre.deviantart.com/art/Through-the-Icy-Kingdom-173355715). Glad both of them were liked by their owners. :3
And finally, I started a new Liz and Laan comic arch, which will prove to hopefully be entertaining and insightful to the characters. Page 1. (http://risendecabre.deviantart.com/art/The-Day-We-All-Met-Page-1-175003676)
Hope all the art is enjoyed, and remember I do appreciate feedback. ^^
Also, I have a few request pictures done from FA, but only one finished one is relevant to this forum: Project Future's Dorcan (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4292029) as done by me. x3 More will come later.

Heh, anyway, just a couple of new finished pics to put up.
First is the second page of the new Liz and Laan arch. (http://risendecabre.deviantart.com/art/The-Day-We-All-Met-Page-2-175592706) I decided to forego the coloring of the lineart for this one, to see if it was cleaner for a comic. I think it is, but what do you guys think?
And also, Zedd's request was finished and put up, here. (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4315711) Glad that he liked it, as it was my first try at a visibly bionic critter. x3 Was an interesting thing to try.
Enjoy.
Well, my art muse is finally starting to fizzle out a bit, but before it does, here's a couple more pages of The Day We All Met: Page 3 (http://risendecabre.deviantart.com/art/The-Day-We-All-Met-Page-3-176551866) and Page 4 (http://risendecabre.deviantart.com/art/The-Day-We-All-Met-Page-4-177421556).
I decided that yeah, not coloring the lineart for comics was a bit cleaner. :p I'll save that for single pictures for now, I suppose.
Enjoy.
