Title: [Art] Raiettei's artsy drawings (04-12-09)
Post by: Raiettei on March 26, 2009, 03:36:53 PM
It's a character you don't know! And she's a succubus! It REALLY threw you for a loop! HA!

http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj190/Raiettei/CassieCubi.jpg

It didn't occur to me until after I drew it that I should have made her older. At least 25, right?

It sort of makes sense in a Got the Point?y kind of way, but...

O_O

--Got the Point?

EDIT: Don't talk about the super long double jointed right arm she's got there. I've already been laughed out of one community about it.

Here's the series thus far:

Cassandra "Crypt" ...Can't say the last name yet.
As a Succubus.
This Post right here.

I seem to remember reading somewhere that Aary got her headwings in her late teens, but that's considered quite unusual.

*cough* Psst, look to your title. ;-]

She's very cute. I don't think she's that unexpectedly Cubi - pretty much half the forum wants to be one of those freaks... ;-]

And I bet you Dan's brief moment of majesty won't help  :3

Hey! I never MEANT UNexpected!

It just comes from the fact that someone told me that her struggle reminds them a lot about Dan's. (That and she's got tentacles coming out of her back. But that's a WHOLE different story) So they told me to draw her as a 'Cubi, so I did. Next thing I know, I'm posting it here too. (It makes sense... kinda)

I'm giving exposition on stuff I shouldn't yet...

Oh well.

Heh. You're right, I misread it. My point still stands, though - the rules state what's required in a topic title, and you ain't done that yet...

The actual words are fine, you just need to add some stuff, first. ;-]

Quite Right.

How silly of me.

*blush* and I was so careful about that, too. hee.
Title: [Art] She's a Fae... how... unusually unexpected.

Nice traditional artwork.  Like the colours.

However, I strongly suggest you have a single thread for all your characters, not one each.  It doesn't appear to be a chapter and verse rule, but doing that is discouraged and may make Zina or bill cry.  I'd merge them myself but I'm tired right now and would probably cock it up.

[comment gone due to me being an eejit]

More information about the Fae pic:

Made when I was sleep deprived

No memory of creation

It's better than most of the other stuff I draw, so I must have been on to SOMETHING!

It's part 2 of a series of 10 drawings.

She looks older than she should look. Perhaps a stylistic choice?

I love the anatomy, and there's lots of movement in the poses. Very awesome.

Still... there's gotta be a way to improve the coloring.

Can't wait to see the other eight.

It doesn't really look like Amber.... It could be just about any chibi. I like the cartoonyness, but there aren't any features that distinguish the character as an Amber sketch.

It's a sketch of Amber, not a sketch by Amber, if that makes any difference.

And since Amber is fairly reticent about having self-portraits all over the web, it's close enough, I reckon. Although I do agree with your point, there. ;-]

On the one hand, the hair looks right for Amber. On the other hand, that doesn't really seem enough to identify the character.

Besides, I thought Amber was a stick insect.

I thought she was a wiku worm....caterpillar or something

AHA! the glasses, maybe that was what is missing.

True, true... keh. I'll explain later on in this post about that...

Mmm Hmm... That be true, as well. I was debating whether or not to put it up online because of this fact.

Quite right. But it was a response to the Icarus drawings, actually. During the webcast, she was talking about how she wanted to draw herself as a bee, but it just didn't work right. So using that, I drew this.

...How did I not put those on there!?

I love your character designs. Especially the outfits. They're detailed enough that they're interesting, but not to the point where they're over-complicated.
