I'm sorry to hear that... please accept my sympathies for you and your family.

On the bright side - for what it's worth - it seems to have been over fairly quickly. I've had the experience of watching people deteriorate over a period of time, and that is not something I'd wish on anybody.

In all honesty, I'm not sure what to say out of fear of sounding trite. I just really hope you're doing alright in spite of this.
