Looking at the second panel, and assuming that anything red is blood, (Whatever drink was being served, seemed to be clear. Champagne perhaps?) Dan seems to have a scratch on his ear, and some gash on his left side of the face, probably right around the eye. Anything else is hard to tell from the shot, although if there are two glasses and a bottle being broken then he's likely got cuts all over his face.

I don't know the text used by dan doesn't seem to convey a sense of dread and venom in the same way the bubble seems to imply.

Initially, they were both completely surprised. Regina recovered enough to act first, hit Dan and
ran.
About what I expected.
Well, whether that one panel (http://www.missmab.com/Comics/Vol_388.php) was memory or imagination, Dan has obviously had to have seen Regina at some point in the past, and her cast page (http://www.missmab.com/Cast/regina.php) says she almost killed Wildy, who has been Dan's friend since before he was a teenager. Recall that my speculation is that Regina is at Kria's
hiding from Dan. So yeah, enemies. Dan, being a guest of Kria's, might not have attacked Regina on sight, but that's moot now. Kria might get her wish to see how good Dan is in combat, real soon.
Wow. That was definitely more painful than a slap to the face.
Dan hurt and screaming through the door bloody murder. Regina must have got really close to killing Wilde if he's that pissed. I can't remember him getting this worked up before. Yes he could be from anger and pain. But Dan has really give the impression that he doesn't lose his cool this easily
Wow... I was expecting an argument, but that's a little more extreme that I expected. Kria seems to be taking it all in stride, though. This promises to be... fun.

Regina is
not a nice Creature. She is exactly the kind that Dan has spent his adventuring career dealing with. Harshly.
As for their backstory, I don't see any shipping involved. Big bad demoness Regina is
running for her life from Daniel Ti'Fiona, who has slain a much older, stronger, and more experienced demon than she. Multiple times.
She's bought herself a lead, though not a great one. Now it's a chase. Which of them is faster? Regina has the advantage of knowing the house. Can she get to a hiding place without Dan spotting her? Will she ask for help from Devin? Would Devin even try and give it? Tune in tomorrow, folks... :eager
Rejoice- they are off to a horrible start, I wouldn't be surprised if they engage in combat the next panel! For now it's still Matilda on the top spot for Dan's heart!
Really, I'd rather Dan/Mab.

I think it's a neat touch that it's Regina who is the aggressor here. Dan was not pleased to see her, but not least because he's here on a mission, attacking her out of hand would have been a Bad Thing. Now he's the victim.
Tentacles aside it'll be interesting to see if Dan's headwings reappear when he's distracted in this manner.
I'm guessing Dan is the reason why Regina now lives on Kria's mansion doing housework

Why apologise, that seems to fit Regina's motivations perfectly.
Although I doubt they were an item (not just because Amber says so), more likely Dan refused to return Regina's feeling (because, you know, she's a psycho), and Regina got all huffy about being spurned. Not 100% sure where nearly killing Wildy comes into it (if it does) but keep in mind we're dealing with a creature (pun intended) who seems to have a blatant disregard to being life.
Also, keep in mind the previous comics: Regina seems incredibly close minded and petty, it doesn't look like it takes much to make her take grave exception to something.
I am vaguely curious to know what the "Regina's Story" people have to say about this strip...

- She eliminated any inhibitions he had about attacking her, because he is Kria's guest. As Tapewolf pointed out, Dan is now perfectly justified in counter attacking.
- She just gave him a boost. (Pain makes me stronger. Anybody's pain, including my own.)

I notice Kira mentions the internet, I think I'd been driven mad trying to keep up with modern progress living as long as her, several centuries of virtual no technological progress then BAM! You hit the industrial revolution and everything's changing every five minutes.
I wonder what will happen on 50% Off Chocolate Day (That is to say, tomorrow)? Will Fi fetch Abel and Abel see Devin and all hell break loose-er?! Naw, the comic would probably end with Fi blinking to Abel but not bringing Abel back yet, if that were the case. :P
One thing that I have been wondering is with his mind focused on the the cubi emotions that he's more in tuned with will we see a lot more cubi trait attacks in the coming battle?
I know his wings may react to his mood and have focused once on a annoying drake. But will we see other trait? Like miss fired spell and maybe ill thought out transformation?
Everyone else is far too clued in on relationships and characters compared to me.

If Regina knows enough to understand the implications of heads on a cubi's wing tentacles... She has reason to be scared of him as it is, after all. As her cast page puts it "... she comes across as reckless and likely to get herself killed easily by random adventurers." Dan, on the other hand, is an experienced, competent, and
retired adventurer. He is out of her league. Aliph had over seven hundred years on her and Dan killed him. At least twice. So just as a Being adventurer, Dan out classes her. Nevermind being an incubus.

Dan has avoided even trying to use magic since a certain unpleasant experience (http://www.missmab.com/Comics/Vol_551.php) in his childhood. Which is why he has no clan mark. So, spells, I seriously doubt it.
He has been trying very hard to not be a cubi, but it is possible that under the stress of battle his control might slip. So headwings and wing tentacles, maybe. Anything else would have to be deliberate though.

No, Abel isn't like that, but he's a far more interesting character. He's not some big whiner that you want to slap some sense into. It's not Regina's meanness that I dislike, it's the fact that she's a whiner without being interesting about it (so far).
