Just an idea I had. I wanted to see if there was a way to connect songs that seemingly had no connection, sort of like Six Degrees or the "next word" game.
The poster puts a song title up, and the artist. The next poster has to put up a song, hopefully by a different artist, that the previous song reminds them of, be it because of style, lyrics, or any connection. If you think the connection deserves an explanation, put it up. If not, then good work. :) I'll start...
"Shake your Tail Feather" - Ray Charles
"Shake that"- Eminem and Nate Dog
NOTE: this is confusing- having two identical games, llearch will be here aaany second now to put the hurting on this!
"Shake Your Groove Thing" - Peaches and Herb
(I think we're okay...)
"Jammin' - Bob Marley"
Because the song has 'groove', and because you have to be a real herb if you like Reggae.
Tribute by Tenacious D,
They be jammin'. . . with the devil.
Superhero by Stephen Lynch
because no matter what tenacious D song it is, i always think of his songs afterwards
"Superman" - Five for Fighting
(I think the reason's pretty obvious. I wanted to use a different song, but this song won't leave my head right now.)
"Love Bites" by Def Leppard
Long story.
"Cry me a river"- Justin Timberlake
"River of Tears" - Eric Clapton.
"River Below" - Billy Talent.
"Dazed and Confused" - Led Zeppelin
Read the lyrics, you'll see what I mean. ;3
Land of Confusion - Genesis
"This is Halloween" - Danny Elfman
(Is there any place more confusing than Halloweentown? :) )
'This is the new shit' - Marylin Manson
This is 50!- 50 Cent ( the slang reminded me of hip-hop)
"White and Nerdy" - Weird Al Yankovic
"Pretty Fly (For a White Guy)" - The Offspring
Date Rape - sublime
When the Sun Goes Down - Arctic Monkeys
'Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me' - Elton John
Black Hole Sun, Sound Garden.
Sunshinin' - The Vines :januscat
"Light & Day/Reach for the Sun" by The Polyphonic Spree
so many songs involving the Sun >_>
"Music of the Night" - Phantom of the Opera
(Hey, you asked for it. :) )
Hmm... I can't think of any other songs that are so incredibly slow that even eight note rhythms are boring to play... Hmm.......... I guess I'll just go with another song that takes so long to play that my mouth starts hurting halfway through; "Pomp and Circumstance" composed by Sir Edward Elgar and adapted for high school graduation.
Bright Wings - Kotoko :januscat
"Ready Steady Go" by L'arc En Ciel
"Here It Goes Again" - OK Go
Just as Time is Running Out - Kotoko :januscat
F***ing in the bushes - Oasis
Bad Touch - The Bloodhound Gang
Code Blue - T.S.O.L.
(warning: some nauseating topic matter and lyrics)
Spread Blue View - Falcom sound team JDK :januscat
Blue - Eiffel 65
Hampster Dance - Deirdre LaCarte
Ready Steady Go - Paul Oakenfold
Ready Steady Go! by L'arc En Ciel
Surfing on the Web - Les Horribles Cernettes

Welcome Home, Coheed and Cambria
I'm Going Home-Alice Cooper
...But Home is Nowhere - AFI :januscat
Of Greetings and Goodbyes -AFI
Americana - The Offspring
(They're in the same key, and they go "whoa-oh-oh" in the chorus in both songs)
This Business of Love - Domino
(gotta love the slide-trombone and the whole trumpet section with a mute on) :bow
Warped Love - Hirisan :januscat
Babylon - United Flavour :boogie
