I have some amber around here somewhere. No mosquitoes in it though.
Yeah, 08 is being poisoned but I wonder if 09 will get cancer or just Lupus?

Did I neglect to mention the minefield set up behind me? I'm sure I mentioned the minefield.

That would be because "it's mine!" ?

Screenshot or not, if 2009 tries to mess with Amber, he's getting a nine-iron upside the head.  :batman

Amber's had more than her fair share of suck. Enough already. Here's where I draw a line in the sand. Here's where I make my stand and say NO MORE!  :eager

Why a 9? wouldn't a 1 potentially have more mass to hit with? (or are they all the same mass?)

well... the club head is generally rthe same mass between all irons.  The difference between two clubs is the angle of the head (the loft), and the length of the shaft.  A 3 iron, for instance, will be 3-4 inches longer than a 9 iron within a given set.  The extra range you get from a club is due to having a longer lever which leads to a higher club head speed(at the expense of control)

So, yes, a 1 iron (typically you only see 3 through 9 irons) would be more damaging, bit the wielder might not be able to control it for maximum impact.

--edit--

My club of choice would be a sand wedge; while it's the shortest club in the bag, it's also weighted to help cut through sand when hitting out of a bunker.  Where the longer length for greater speed is great for imparting said velocity on a small sphere of cork, rubber, string, and plastic, the club head does not appreciably decelerate with any club on impact.  The extra mass of the sand wedge makes it mroe ideal for building up energy to impart where the club head is likely to be considerably slowed on impact.

And everybody laughed when I said golf wasn't boring!
See, this **** can be used for other purposes too. But so can plumbing parts and some household ingredients.
I don't need an anarchist's cookbook or the internet, a few months watching discovery channel did just fine. Actually better, visual aids!

That mentioned "Finger Poke Of Doom" reminds me of an attack in the Worms series of games, the Nudge. if your enemy is on a precipice, just poke him over the edge.

And a sand wedge has a narrower contact point because of the steeper (or is that shallower? depends on POV) angle of the face, sharper-seeming edge making contact.

This might be a reasonable place to discuss the filler.  I like the way you see Jyrras' back since 2008 was the year of the rat.  2010 is the year of the tiger.  I haven't seen any tigers in the strip but Dan is a feline, so there's a possibility for a Chinese New Year cartoon for next year.

The year of the ... wait a minute, Lorenda's not an ox, she's a cow.

According to the Wikipedia, an ox is normally a castrated male of the genus bos.  The term cow may refer to a female of this genus who has had a calf, and is sometimes used to refer to any female of the genus, and also sometimes to any member of the genus.  (This is because of a lack of a good widely accepted term for a male or female member of the genus.)  A heifer is a mature female who hasn't had a calf.

So, if you really want to be technical, Lorenda is a heifer rather than a cow.  (Leaving aside the issue of being half equine demon.)  However, terminology in this case should be whatever Amber wants.  In other words, if you want to slice the baloney thinly, I'll go out and get a microtome.

I'll do more than thwack it with a softball bat, I'll beat it through a wall if it starts acting up. :mwaha
