Title: [Writing/Art] E's corner
Post by: e_voyager on December 02, 2008, 05:33:19 PM
as normal i'll be putting some of everything here. not sure why but hey enjoy and if you like it let me know.  first up a poem

You never asked the question
  "Ask how I feel"
He never spoke the truth
  "So you lies reveal"
You never knew the reason
  "Our love would fail"
You never understood
"How my love was for real"

You never even questioned
  "So content with lies"
You never knew the truth
  "Or even wondered why"
You never seem know
  "Just how I feel"
Or what these falling tears
  "Could reveal "

You were given my love
  "and tossed it away"
You were entrusted with my heart
"to and used it to play"
You hurt me deeply
  "what's more to say"
You never shed a tear
  "when I ran away"

You always had your secrets
  "while mine you pealed"
You revealed to me
  "your love was never real"
After all this struggle
  "I finally know The truth"
You didn't love Me
  "because you couldn't love you"

a friend of mine passed away. i found this out just afternoon as i was on my way to work. in her memory i wrote this poem I call it memory

Sitting in the shadows
Listening to the night.
An Eire melancholy melody
Who's sorrow fills the night.
The song invokes a memory,
With it's mournful tune.
Sweet memories of friendship
tinged with the sorrow
of one gone to soon.

That's a sad poem, and at the same time it's pretty. Even if the spelling could use some improvement, it still gets the message through.

I like the first poem you posted. Looks like it could be lyrics to a song with two singers.

Sad to hear about your friend. A worthy tribute.   :januscat

it's over today we buried val and now as much as it grieves me i can say to myself her death is real. yet at the same time seeing so many of us there you cared for her tells me how loved she is and how in our hearts she'll never truly be gone. i'm ashamed to say that i spent most of time that i wasn't at work sleeping and writing some less this stellar  trains of thought here are some of the better ones.

I run away, I can not stay with all these things on my mind.
I have to go and you must know why I live you all behind.
A wounded heart is but a part of why I went away.
Some time to heal these wounds on my soul.
Some time to feel the joys that warm the cold.

Here for so long but, now you're gone
I say so long with tears in my eye
So close to my heart form which you'll never part
Perhaps you've gone home and perhaps i'll see you soon
All things are mortal so the bible says
even the earth and heaven shall pass away
but hope renews with new earth and heaven on the way
and with that hope grows the hope I'll see you again

how many times have i walked this mile?
so much heartache waiting down this isle
so many friends resting peacefully there
of this worlds concerns they no longer care
of this worlds beauty they no longer share
how many times hale i walked this mile before?
how many times will i walk it once more?

colors in the sky
how wondrous they are
snow flickers in the air
and childhood returns
the aurora off the north
the warmth of the hearth
the closeness of family
the openness of youth
few things as simple as a snowfall
can many our spirits renew
