What's everyone's favorite and/or dream cars? Right now...I'm quite intrigued by the Mercedes-Benz S-Class AMG...but...that price. Augh. I guess that's why it's only a dream car. :(
Hm, I really want a Mini Cooper S... a bright purple one with orange racing stripes! :D
A jet black Dodge Viper :mwaha
2005 British Racing Green 6-Speed Manual MazdaSpeed MX-5 Miata Touring Edition w/ wood panelling, shifter knob, and steering wheel, and beige leather interior. Girl's car my ass. :mwaha
Funny. I see more men than women driving Miatas around here.

I really love my Toyota Matrix. I originally wanted a Prius but there's literally nothing I would change about my current auto... It's got great gas mileage, handles like a dream and it has a FREAKING ELECTRICAL SOCKET RIGHT THERE!
Just wanted to bump this up with my favorite car of any type of all time, the 1967 AAR Eagle Weslake.
A new 3-Series would be awesome, but my true dream car...
Mercedes-Benz SL-65 AMG. Style, speed, comfort... it's all there. Including the $200,000 USD price tag *winces*
hmmm, so many, I'll just start with some BMWs
BMW E28 M5 never got to drive it because my brother kinda wrecked the engine, was my father's old car, didn't want to fix it so just sold it.... and bought a shoddy fiat uno, urgh, the pain :(
(http://www.m5board.com/photopost/data/504/16225250902005_31_.jpg)
might as well add the E24 M635CSI
(http://eleves.mines.inpl-nancy.fr/~morela/serie6_2.jpg)
and the M1, the only BMW made in such a chassis design (shame)

and something more recent the Z4 :p
They had a whole racing series with M1s in the early 80s, it was a F1 support series with the F1 drivers in it, IIRC.

Niki Lauda (absolute legend)

And now for pics! :D

And if we're indeed talking about 'dream' cars that we will never attain, I would looooooooove to own a Porsche Carrera GT. :twisted Though I would probably never drive it fearing I might scratch it. :cry BTW, there are only 5 of them in my state, and one of them just so happens to be at the Porsche dealership in our town with a hefty price tag of US $450,000.

Chevy Cobalt (What i'll probably get)
Chevy Colorado (Dad has one but i want it since it's in a color they discontinued)
aaaaaand..that's it XD
Are we talking about real automobiles? If so, my heart will always lie with the De Lorean DMC 12. It has such a wonderfully joyous retro-future (Welcome to the World of the Future, of the Future ... et cetera, et cetera) design and the gullwing doors are just the icing on the cake. Great stuff.

You know I've always wanted a Mid 80's cadilac hearse.
But recently I've been thinking of getting a desiel van, and getting it converted to a grease car...
If I did I'd go all out and custom paint it Black or Purple, with thw words Greasy Lightning (in a yellow gooey font) across the hood, around the front hood and wheel wells I'd to a flame pattern using crinkle cut french fries and on the sides Coop's face as he bites down on a cheeseburger

Well any food would do for Coop. But I picked burgers for two reasons 1 in test drive his first Idea was to use Megas to robe the hamburger plant, and the second reason I say cheeseburgers is that when a grease car is running most people say it smells like cooking cheeseburgers and fries.

gargh, old diesel D:
mercedez, huh, good quality indeed, but the latest models tend not be so high quality, only costy. BMW Mercedez and VW latest models tend to have cheap electronic build-in and other parts that need regular fixing. You're better off with a 10 years old BMW than a new one :U
I still wish I could fit in a mid-90's (93 or newer) RX-7. Preferably one without the troublesome twin turbos, rotary engines do not work well when you are forcing air into them.

Not a big fan of Japanese cars either. Likely due to the fact that they have three teams in Formula 1, with a combined budget of 673 kazillion billion skillion bazillion yen, and have a total of 0 wins between them. Oh, and Honda and Toyota just sacked the brightest people on their teams and replaced them with "Committies". And Super Aguri? Don't ask.
shame on them...
so, who are you defending this year?
i am twisting for Rosberg this year...
just a beginner, yet with the audacity a true classical driver must have...
also he is the son of a great past champion my dad used to like a lot!
i am also tired of that schumacher thing man...i wish that guy could just hung the wheel dude... :p lol XD!!
I am HOPING that Raikkonen realizes that McLaren is not the team it was a few years ago, and jumps. I may have to start liking Ferrari if he does, which would be odd, to say the least.
but he is thinking in doing it...
only a ''real offer'' by ferrari will make him run next year...he said that himself...(of course otherwise he wouldn't have said anything, lol)

Speaking of the mpg - the British Challenger tank has a 17 liter, two stroke engine, that can burn just about anything fuelish in nature.
Just don't ask about how much.

That car is almost literally, a tank. Which is why it's popular for police and taxi fleets. It's surprisingly easy to handle for something so hyuge, having driven around a standard Crown Vic. Look up the specs sometime...it's longer than a Hummer H1 by about two feet. Thinner than King Kong by about 10 inches, though.

I don't get it. o_O
Ussually, you'll find that standard police vehicles don't have governers, which basically means they won't top-out. Given enough space, you can make it go ridiculously fast, until the car itself either just goes airborne or can't handle it any longer.
Picture yourself, going about 300, and just slightly turning the wheel a few inches. You're probably gonna start flying in any given direction, the car will flip, and the momentum will carry you to impending doom very quickly.
Maybe it's not a pretty way to go, but it's one hell of a ride.
Uh, I don't think a Crown Vic will go 300.
Hell no. But the Caprice (The GOOD cars they got rid of) go over 180 atleast, if you give them the room.

I actually was looking to buy a Crown Victoria Police Interceptor a while back. Beautiful car.
I perfer the Tahoe, personally.
Just because a car doesn't have a governor doesn't mean it will just keep accelerating. The car has to be geared right to get to higher speeds. If it isn't, you'll just end up redlining and overheating/tearing the engine to shreds.

there are a few flaws to that statement, 1: Center of gravity is pretty fucked up, add the fact that the engine is on the passager's place. 2: It's all but aerodynamic
