Title: Fallout 3
Post by: Teroniss on November 03, 2008, 05:20:49 PM
Just got this last week when it released. I still havent beaten everything, but wow  :erk This game has been amazing so far. I mean, its not on the same level of awesome as the first two, but Bethesda still did an amazing job of keeping true to the feel of the apocolyptic loneliness and humor of the originals. Plus the way they added some of the themes they used on their own games make you go, "Holy Shit, that was kinda awesome!"

In the words of Ron Pearlman; "War, war never changes....."

Really, I'm just glad it's not like Brotherhood of Steel was. All things considered, it seems just as good (if not better) than the first two Fallouts were.

I'm not going to spoil it yet, but the ending was so goddamn bad.

Meh, I'm not to worried about the ending as long as the rest of the game is good. I've played lots of games that had crappy endings but were lots of fun before then.

In an apocalypse game, I always wanted to be a lone survivor. Kind of like in A Boy and His Dog.

"A boy loves his dog, doesn't he?"

*shudder*

It's very good, people think it's just Oblivion with guns, but this is much more fun.

Even if it is just Oblivion with guns, that is to my advantage.  Never played Oblivion.  From what I've seen so far, the secret is to stop trying to find Fallout in the game and let it be Fallout instead.

Still, the endings to Fallout have never really been that great.  The best one was the ending to the first game, which just did a perfect job of sealing in the epic of the game.

Objection! It actually made me emote. Then again, I suppose it depends on your karma.

I got a free copy because of my beta test, I did not like the ending much.  The game play is sort of good... but it is just like the others, merely an "ok" game.
