The dialog is almost identical to the original version of the story...the only change was Adam's dialog, which was changed from "how was your day" to "peekaboo" because the current time line hasn't established that he could speak.

Update.

Midterms are done! w00t!  6 more weeks this semester 4 were essay mid terms  Three were due last week and then and ther was a six chapter exam and a three chapter exam and before that I have three chapter exam, so I didn't really have much time to anything the past couple of weeks. :p I din't color, because my eyes are in pain/strained from constant reading, writing, and whatever, will color this later

You've got a chunk in panel 5 where you've used pure white instead of off-white.  Have you considered using a decimation filter or something to make it entirely black-and-white?

I respond in pm's because  1) I'd never use the system otherwise 2)Mystery increases the level of suspense [this is why magicians  never perform the same trick twice in front of the same audience, it makes the magic seem more miraculous] 3) if there is no mystery [for example if everyone knew the story was readily available and had been since 2004 minus a hand full of pages that I tacked on in 2007.] the laws of diminishing returns would indicate that no one would wait for the next installment.  4) the style is from 2004, I also have a 1999- 2001 style that is simmilar to JTHM/Invader Zim. The first five pages were used  for my storyboarding class final.

Knowing that the comic is mostly from 2004 would make it  loose some of it's coolness, the more than seven hours of  coloring for the current page (Fools night out page 6, which  I had to do twice because the program crashed and while it took less time the second time around I could and would have spent the same amount of time updating Let's scare melissa), which I'm only updating so that I can get to "the (fur) Real world" which I want to finish so I can get to the next storyline etc... however , if the audience has already read it already, then they might not want to read it a second time and the 16 odd people who actually read the comic might drop off and not read the story because it's not updating...and miss the fact that it actually is updating... answer your questions?

I don't know I thought some people would find a "bear" scary while others would just as soon kick them in the junk like John West. When I was a kid, about four years old, my dad was buying a tractor trailer from these two "Seigfreid and Roy" type guys  they had three or four of them fenced in the back yard. at the time I thought the bears were really cool, but now that I'm older I'm thinking "they could (and almost did) eat me alive!"  but still I remembered  "people keep bears as pets." while I don't think it's very common, as I have yet to meet people who own bears ever again. I thought someone in Las Vegas would be just as likely to own a bear... plus when we first came to Las Vegas  there was a pet store up the corner from my sister's apartment complex that was selling Lynx/Bobcat kittens... anyways I figured  you _could_ own a bear as a pet if you wanted too. and with Curtis on a pixy stick and or couch syrup and or metabolic syndrome or whatever induced ecstasy high, I began thinking along the lines of  "how can I highlight crazy?" and that was where the page came from.

but seriously, collar or not I think I'd rather not approach a strange dog.

Just to be clear, is "Rejected" a new story arc or a collection of outtakes?  I assumed the latter and didn't pay much attention...

rejected is the same as it was before a collection, of  Storylines that I made between 2001-2004 that I thought were REALY, Really, god aweful bad. I didn't even need to update the dialog that much. It's actually four or more issues balled into one (Including part 2 of the devil's luck ).  Since I spent most of the P.O.F.O.S. storyline re-drawing old storylines, by the time I actually got to a point where they were captured  I let loose the bad artwork collection so I wouldn't have to re-draw the four issues in their entirety.

Rejected! actually has a faster pace and cuts out all the extra character development clutter. If I hadn't unloaded with the scrap filler between Project One From Outer Space and Let's Scare Melissa we'd still be on board  the ship waiting for Bade and Vespartillo to escape... and redrawing crap gets really old, really fast.

so no, Rejected is not a  new storyline. Thankfully, I actually have two Scrap issues in reserve for after Monster Zero so there should be a quick barrage of updates after the  Monster Zero and Epilouge arc... after that I can work on (fur)Real world and Unholy radio Project:Sans Furrae <---staring Bade   

In the last pannel of Let's scare melissa page 5, I traced over bade from another storyline where he was captured by  50's gangsters... first 3 pannels from page LSM page 15 are traces from earlier arts as well.

I also mix in a lot of older art with  the newer art so the main story remains consistently random. It actually works out great because it's not as much work the second time around. I've been drawing comics since I was 17, and I never throw anything away. In fact,  I have a footlocker full of story material you haven't seen.
