Heh.
Congratulations, Jig, on reaching 100 strips. One hell of a landmark, and you're only just starting to really get rolling as far as the story goes.
Here's hoping you're still posting strips in 5 years time. ;-]
Whoa. Who is that? She looks mighty impressive...
And congrats one the 100 as well! :)

That's Veled, the legal representative that Cypress was horrified of. She can apparently decimate people with a pinky-claw.
Fantastic character design and art, Jigsaw. And congratulations on reaching 100 strips! :)
Charging lawyer cannon!

Charging lawyer cannon!
No! Word has it that lawyer is a Loose Cannon already. Don't charge her any more than she already is. Please?

Hey now, I'm the only scary lawyer in this mess!
Veled is the head of Celigo's rather impressive military. She's also about 10 feet tall. Now why would someone be worried about her :3
The question is, what the HELL is she doing there?

She's protecting her investment of course!
Alice wont just kill herself of course! She needs a push in the right direction (into a spike pit for example).
And she's there to scare the bejebus out of Cypress. Everyone needs a hobby!
I obviously read too much DMFA... I can't see past the headwings.
Don't feel too bad, when I first started read LR I thought the Celeste were Cubi. But Veled's wings are easier to ignore, she has 8 in total, four of which are on her head. None of that in DMFA!

Mostly because I find that the easiest spot to plant a pair of miniwings when I design a new character, since it's a quick identifier for a Touched / Celeste.
They can go on any symmetrical point of the body, but headwings are the most visible / common, followed by wrist/ankle-wings. Other locations are more concealable or otherwise lend themselves to dirty jokes.
... and of course, we don't want any dirty jokes, do we? ;-]

Well, imagine a Touched with "Tramp Stamp" wings...
... and then realize she's had them there since she was a little girl.
It's all the trauma and embarrassment of a tattoo, but in reverse.
"Tramp Stamp"?
Do I want to know?
Ah... it's a colloquialism.
Try this (http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=tramp+stamp), only be aware that UrbanDictionary has a lot of ... well, "not safe for anyone" descriptions on it. So don't go browsing if you don't want to get your brain filthy.
Don't worry, my brain is plenty filthy already.
after reading:
That... wasn't nearly as bad as I thought. Not at all. In fact, for wings, what is wrong with that?
... I wasn't warning you about that page. I was warning you about all the other pages on Urban Dictionary. ;-]
