Title: Don LaFontaine appreciation thread
Post by: superluser on September 02, 2008, 01:18:51 PM
In a world where movie trailers are common, one man was king.

Alas, he is no more: Don LaFontaine dead at 68 (http://www.cnn.com/2008/SHOWBIZ/Movies/09/02/obit.lafontaine/?iref=mpstoryview).

A couple of fun videos about LaFontaine:

At least Hal Douglas is still around.

Holy shit. I can't believe this.

I thought he was fantastic. Watching trailers isn't going to be the same anymore. Rest in peace.

Here's a video about Don LaFontaine (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7QPMvj_xejg), to those who are interested.

One of the voice acting greats. He'll be missed.

I never could manage to do the "In a world..." voice myself. :B
