This post won't be obsolete very shortly. Nope nope. :P Especially if you're as bad as Jaijai or myself where it comes to posting. :P
Pfft. Neither of you hold a candle to the real heavy posters. ;-]

I have no idea what you're talking about, Mowmow.

Yep. Of course, part of your problem is that there are idiots on this forum who need to have their hand held at all times to prevent them from hurting themselves and others and need nearly constant supervision and posts to keep them on track...
... what? Stop staring at me.
Of course I don't hold a candle to you llearch... I mean then you'd be a flaming box, and that my friend would be just wrong... or very right.. pending on your view of the world.

"Flaming Box."
That sounds like either an awesome hot rod or a great custom title.
Hmm.. hot rod sounds about right....

Woot! Someone got the reference!
... No. But it is a thought...

You're talking to someone whose mind turns to the Four Horsemen each time scrabble is mentioned, and vice-versa...
Ya know, at first, I thought he meant he was an actual telemarketer.

Isn't that a different reference? Something about "He'll be wanting a little tricycle soon." ?

I don't know about that one, but the one I'm thinking of is from
Interesting. Sadly the YouTube clip has been pulled.
Psh, for the record, no one is at ALL close to hitting the max title yet.

What is the max title, and how many posts would one have to make to hit it, out of curiosity?
It's a secret surprise, and lots.
Lots and lots.
Eh, I'd expect that the admins would probably just pop another title higher if anyone got close anyway. What I happen to find more interesting is what some of y'all set as your custom title. Some of them are quite humorous.
... yeah, we probably would.
OTOH, since I'm the closest on the forum anyway, there's a fair bit of slack to go yet.

I am. It says so right there. May I interest you in our fine line of cutlads?

What's a cutlad? A gender-swapped cutlass?
Also known as a eunuch.
They're unique, you know...

Ouch... badpunbadpunbadpun!!!!
... hm...
I once met a cut lad
Whose face looked quite sad.
Down by the cold bay
One day in Calais.
Give me a little time, I'll come up with a full verse.
Did you want some help, or should I leave you to it?

No worries, I've got it.
Oh, good.
See, cause I'd come up with:
There once was a little cut lad
Whose father had always been bad
He took the poor boy
Round behind his toys
And fondled what he never did have.
... which is a different sort of poem entirely.

Um, my train of thought not only derailed, it might have crashed through the entire town around the station.
"Ewps."
Finally, a political party promising more rape and less rape.
I don't think llearch is even a fifth of the way to the max title... It will really be some time...
A little more than that, D.
Still, it will be a while before anyone takes the title.
Eh, why bother? With the right tinkering by the right folks a level title can be anything.
Indeed.
I'll take a wild guess and say it's 65535 or thereabouts.
That's a very wild guess, Tape. Have you been paying attention to the rollover points for the earlier levels?
You should. You'd find it enlightening.

No, I haven't. However, 65535 is the most you'll get if you use a 16-bit unsigned field in the table containing the post count titles (gods forbid). It is also a bit more than five times your post count, as per your banter with Darkmoon above.
It's a mysql db. It'll be using signed longs in the int field.
That's a guess, mind, but I can go look it up if you like....
... Seems to cope ok with bumping the number up above 65k.
... and now I'm wondering what will happen when you hit the upper post limit. Would your post count just stop climbing, or does it turn over?

If they're using a signed 32-bit field as llearch implies, you'd have to make 2 billion posts (terabytes of data!) after which it would overflow to -2 billion.
**EDIT**
That would be around 2'147'483'647 and -2'147'483'648 respectively.
I have no idea. I would expect it to roll over, or break; one or the other.
However, since it uses (now that I've checked) "mediumint(8) unsigned" for that field, you'd have to reach 16,777,215 posts to find out.
If you can validly reach that many posts, without spamming, you deserve to find out, I think.
(note that Int is, as Tapewolf says, 2,147,483,647 posts; however, they're using unsigned, and not a full int.)

Considering that the forum currently only has about 200,000 valid posts all total (and that probably includes the arena, which doesn't count towards post count), we've got a way to go before we even get that high as a group.

Unless I've slipped a digit or something, at my current rate of posting it will take me around 4060 years to get there.

About 2,872 years for me, unless I did the math wrong. Which is always a distinct possibility.
If I may point out, I'm a Pirate Mohel Telemarketer. My cutlads don't cut that much. :pirate
