Heh.

Nice art, though, Amber. Especially the two-form panel.

Nicely done, silentassassin.

You missed the previous thread, which I've merged yours with.
And you missed titling it properly.

I do recommend you do better, next time... ;-]

That may be the first time we've seen an Elephant Being (yes it's a dragon, but still). Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

All in all, it's nice to see this stuff written out.

There's an Elephant at the end of the Fashion Arc, not to mention the "Egyptian Girls" art Mab keeps redoing...

Ah, you're right about the fashion art... but what is the "Egyptian Girls" art? This is honestly the first thing I've heard of it.

Umm, "Exceptions are there?"  OK, that's either a typo, or Fluffy is doing a bad impersonation of Yoda.  Yoda would have said "Exceptions, there are," and the proper grammatical way to say it would be "There are exceptions," but never mind me, I'm just nitpicking.

Me neither... a hippo, certainly, but no elephant. Wow, that's a great picture. I need to flip through that site more.

Aleolus' Comment: Well, we all know that occasionally typos creep through into Amber's writing. It happens. It's actually helped me get over my anal tendency to go librarian at the sight of typos: I just note them and move on.

Woah...took me a while to figure out Fluffy's doing a handstand in the last panel. It's kind of hard when she/he's just a ball....

I do see a black-backed jackal, (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black-backed_jackal) though. :3

Notably, Amber drew an elephant for the comic Carpe Diem: Click here (http://www.webcomicsnation.com/graveyardgreg/carpediem/character.php?character_ID=1804).

I was really curious about the breeding habits of the dragons myself. Makes sense that they'd be purity fanatics, I guess. I love the elephant-dragon.

I have to confess that that took me by surprise: I'm so used to working and developing my own fantasy universe that the idea of a "purist" dragon is quite foreign to me. Don't get me wrong, this is interesting. Of course, the only two dragons we've really met are Pyroduck (currently dating Alexsi) and that one dragon who married the canine and had two kids, we really don't have much of a wide database to call on. Plus, Fa'Lina did imply that Pyroduck is a bit weird for a dragon... wasn't her exact term "nice?"

Please don't take my comment about my universe as me tooting my own horn. I'm genuinely interested in how other people design their universes.

...So what would happen if said half breed, bred with another dragon?

Would the offspring have more dragon, or more of whatever the other race is?

What would the main/secondary forms be?

Would the non-dragon form be mostly draconic in feature, with a few non-dragon traits?

You're forgetting the red one who Dan owed ten bucks (http://www.missmab.com/Comics/Vol_142.php).

I recall discussions on this, but I don't recall any definitive race being verified for Pyroduck's being form.
If the dragon genes "sometimes stomp out other traits", what determines the dragon's smaller form, is it a conscious decision (like cubi shape changing) or genetic? If genetic and the mother's and father's being forms (whether one or both are dragons) are different, like for example canine and feline, which is passed on?

1.) I believe Amber (er, Fluffy?) indicated that the result would be mostly draconic, if not a full dragon.

2.) Dragons, as per above.

3.) It'd probably follow the standard rules for interspecies. . .dating.

4.) The alternate form probably wouldn't be any different from other alternate forms, actually.

But do they really mean it, or is it just accidental as a result of being the size of a small building?

Since they can adopt a more suitable form, I'd say it's deliberate because they chose not to...

Well, sometimes it's accidental... remember how a dragon accidentally wiped out the vampire race? But, yeah, I can imagine that good portion of the squishing is on purpose... after all, that's how Pyroduck got Abel to go along with their plans.

I noticed someone cited "exceptions are there" as a typo, and I'd like to say that when read as saying exceptions are there, like there: the place instead of, there: there are, it reads correctly. The word was meant to indicate position rather than an abbreviation for there are.

If this is already said, I apologize. I tend to get ahead of myself.

I would assume that the seconday(Smaller) form is just personal preference...

But that makes me wonder What would happen if a dragon was given an amulet similar to Kira's... It sorta forces a more being look upon the holder.. so what would it turn a dragon into? a Lizard Being?

the effect of the amulet on a dragon would likely justput in its secondary form... a dragon/ drakes secondary form would likely be alot like pyroduck's...
