Title: Lunar Wars
Post by: llearch n'n'daCorna on June 07, 2008, 06:37:03 PM
Thought I'd split out the Lunar Wars stuff from the CN stuff.

Comment for the day: Whoo-eee, hitting 1.8k AI makes a big step up in costs. From approx 552k/level to 741,838/level - without discount, of course.

Watch that step, it's a doozy. :-/

Time to focus on other things, like bumping the number of houses I have up a bit. Something to focus on for a while, I guess; housing and mineral replicator level 2 and neural nets level 2 through 4. And the 45k people improvement. So... only 30 million to save up to get through that lot... ;-]

Not counting the housing, at just over a million per 25...

At a rough guess, for the same price of 10AI you could buy 100 or 125 houses (including the cost of buying all the minerals).
In Peace mode, 10AI increases your income less than 25 Housing does. Of course, you'd have to factor in mining increases, which is a little difficult.

I think focusing on Housing until you have every improvement would be the best strategy. It's what I've been thinking about doing.

Yeah.

Either that or dropping into war mode; however I've been trying to keep ahead of you whilst staying in Peace Mode, so... ;-]

What's 10AI get you in war mode? For me, I get ~2k increase for 10AI, and ~5 for 25 AI...

I haven't actually checked in ages. :B
And directly comparing could be misleading, as you have the donation bonus.

Anyway, if it helps, my current income looks like this:
QuoteCitizen Income: Your population of 40,666 citizens has generated $325,265 in taxes.
Mine Income: Today, your mining facilities produced $120,050 worth of minerals.
Grants: Your colony has received $59,719 in funding, but due to your colony allowing war, it has been increased to $202,593.
Total Income: $647,908

Life Support Costs: $67,744
Law Enforcement Costs (4,494): $5,236
Housing Costs (3,774): $24,531
Mining Costs (71): $2,130
Soldier Costs (30,978): $19,222
Aircraft Costs (500): $11,050
Nuke Costs (1): $8,500
Upgrade Fees (21): $1,050
Total Expenditures: $139,463

You will be able to collect $508,445

That's two days, though. I usually average around 400-440k or so. I suspect I should probably bump my forces up and go into war mode, maybe. There's a philosophical argument, though... ;-]

Oh, hey, out of interest - what do you pay for a house?
Title: Re: Lunar Wars
Post by: Kasarn on June 08, 2008, 06:27:30 PM
$44,199 per house / $1,105,975 for 25 @ 3,774 Housing

You may want to ask Jigsaw/Jekkal how much it costs her via PM, since I doubt she reads these threads much.

Oh, I was just curious at the prior to/after 4k mark, was all. There's not much of a leap; I'm paying $49,560, or $1,239,000 for 25, at 4025 houses.

$67,024 per @ 4.761 houses.

... I invest in housing when I have nothing better to do.

... Damn, girl.

I envy you your housing. I wish I'd done that ages ago.

Edit: How many people have you got, anyway?

Wow... that's quite a big war bonus. I pull in maybe $400k on a good day, and I've got way more peeps than you. I really should get out of hippie mode... I just can't seem to bring myself to care very much about LW, though. :animesweat

You know, I just got a message in LW with this link.

I think we're gonna get attacked or something.

Already got attacked, bleh.

Any thoughts?

EDIT: Probably a little late, but bought a nuke. Figure it might scare off some of the warmongers.

I'm wondering what they consider us to be; a false alliance?

How do you identify it as false?

What's false about it?

What's false about it?

The fact we're not using our strength to beat down others?

The fact we have inactive members?

In short, it's just a pointless declaration of general war to "stir shit up."

Move everyone into peace mode, and ignore the morons?

When I last looked, about half of our colonies were inactive.  I think that is what got them to attack us.

Well, they can't attack inactive members, and attacking those that aren't inactive is countering their goal of getting people active again by kicking the people who ARE active.

So in short, they just wanna stir shit up and inactivity is their excuse.

I find it mildly amusing that there are only three active members in the alliance.

This is, I think, typical of the game as a whole...

Ya, the game got kind of dull.  I kind of wanted to see what would happen if I got to higher AI levels.
