I am playing a few playstation games I used to own on ePSXe, a PSX emulator. I have the framerate set as low as it can go (10 FPS) and it is STILL horribly fast. I am flying through attack scenes in Vanguard Bandits and I want to show my friend the game. Can someone help me lower the game speed since 10 FPS is apparently still 5x faster than the origonal playstation.
I'm using pSX (http://psxemulator.gazaxian.com/) and it seems to be running at speeds that are fairly equal to the original hardware. I like it better than ePSXe.
Here's hoping I do not have to DL the video file things like I did with ePSXe
Edit: I had the BIOS from my other emulator, yay! TOo bad this one does not run cheats..granted, cheats would probably be another image.
I have a program called CEP (I cannot find a website for it, I found it on a forum) that acts as a PAR/GameShark. I can send it to you if you like.
Really? Is it easy to use? I tend to confuse easily. x.x If so, please send it to me?
Sure, I'll email it to you with instructions when I get home this afternoon.
Thank you. The one I have seems to hate me. I may not get it today (7:47 here already)
Your problem is that by default, ePSXe is set to not use the frame limit. While ingame, hit delete, then tap end until it's running fine(set the frame limit back to 60 or 50 first, depending on your region).
the last time I was on here, I got flamed if I even mentioned an emulator, but anyways, you need to set the framerate back to 60FPS, then check the box "enable limited framerate" or something to that extent. hope this fixes your problem.
You didn't get flamed for mentioning an emulator. You got chastised for asking if someone could supply you with an emulator for games you didn't own.
Since which time, some companies have started selling games to play inside an emulator on a significant basis (rather than just starting to sell, and not having much stock)
Also, the OP pointed out that he'd bought the game in question, rather than leaving it an open question and then getting defensive when asked about it...
I tried using ePSXe and couldn't get it to work properly. It might have been the version I had. I tried playing my Soul Reaver(I own all of the Legacy of Kain series) game on it, but it wouldn't run. Neither would my copy of FF Tactics...
I haven't used another PS emulator since. I just play them on my PS2. lol
