Title: Heya
Post by: Webcomicjunkie on March 22, 2008, 06:39:54 AM
I am Webcomicjunkie.

I am new.

I like webcomics.

I am 18 years old.

I am male.

I live in Thailand

I like short sentences.

Not really.

I am an atheist.

I also like Warhammer 40k, Dungeons and Dragons, History, Politics, Strategy Games, music that doesn't suck, and the internet.

I am out of school.

That's all I can remember.

Any Questions?

You know, I wonder if you're really a junkie. Perhaps you'd like to provide us with your credentials in that regard? ;-]

I believe I've provided mine (http://llearch.net/me/webcomics.html).

Oh, and welcome to the forum. Watch out for anyone telling you to watch out for people, because they're up to something and cannot be trusted. Be especially careful of Darkmoon, because you can't tell what his name is these days, Damaris, because it's her forum, BillBuckner, because he's a NASCAR fan and can't turn right, Zina, because she's just evil, RJ, because her muffins are tasty, and llearch, just because.

And probably some others as well.

That's the most informative introduction I've seen. Yeah, I think you'll do well. There's already been warnings about rules and the mods. Flamibility had been checked... anything else? No, no, ok? Good.

Welcome to the Mansion.

Welcome to the forum, brother Webcomicjunkie. And don't forget to leave your sanity at the door, because sanity is for the weak.

Shit. Now my keyboard is going to develop a rather orange-ish tint.

Hey, WCJ!  Just make sure not to listen to anybody with an obscenely long avatar animation, or anybody who takes part in the Ban Game.

Enjoy your time here.

If English isn't your first language, I have to commend you. You have a very good grasp on the language.

Anyway, welcome to the forums. :> I'm Keaton and I have a very bad habit of signing my posts with my name even though everyone knows it's me who's posting. I hope you enjoy yourself here.

Welcome in! I was actually in Thailand a while ago. Nice place in some ways, not so nice in others. What's it like living there, compared to in North America, aside from 'warmer?'

I like short sentences.

Not really.

I like people blatantly and unabashedly contradicting themselves. I find it funny for reasons unknown and probably immature.

Besides the temperature difference, compared to where I used to live, Bangkok is a freakin' godsend. I always loved New York, and big cities in general, and when I came to Bangkok, the sheer availability of anything I could ever want stunned me; comics, movies, music, games, Warhammer stuff etc.

Of course, once you get out of the city, its pretty much like any other third-world Asian country; lots and lots of farms. I would say the beaches are nice too, but since I have an intense dislike for any coastline that does not produce nice surf, I can not give Thailand's beaches my approval.

Oh, and another thing... whores! Lots of them! And lady-boys! Lots of them!
For the life of me I cannot fathom why my mother chose to have us live on Nana. If you know anything about the place, you'll know that street is up there with Patpong and Soi Cowboy for its sheer concentration of "ladies of the night".

Hmm. If you're referring to your links collection, I make it 121. Including things like SGVY, which updates sporadically, and Encyclopaedia Dramatica, which isn't a webcomic at all.

I think I have you beat, if I just include the daily, mon-fri, and m/w/f comics. The mon/fri comics have you beat all by themselves... ;-]

Funniest mistake my friends and I made while we were there (In Chiang Mai, not Bangkok) was to agree to meet at the 7-11 at the corner. There were three on one intersection! WTF, Thailand? They're all over!

And then there was the Water Festival. I swear that was the most fun I've ever had in a public place! There was this little girl with this HUGE watergun who chased me down! XD
