Hmmm... The story could use some coherency.
You can tell characters' emotions from their face. That's a nice talent.
Work with the background more. There's hardly any. It's one of the key elements that separates pros from armateurs.

I figured if I was going to make a cameo appearance as the detective, I'd give people some clues. also it saves me the trouble of drawing out a whole action sequence.

How did you do the typewriter effect? You seem to have reproduced the slight bleed of the ink... the only thing which doesn't look right is that the lettering all seems to be exactly the same density...

I was going for a standard sixties B movie design/look when I thought up the ship, As a way of matching it up with the comic. that's why I didn't draw in the backgrounds. it also allows me to throw in old artwork and pass it off as new again.

the best jokes are set up well in advance, for optimum funny...unfortunately I changed Bade's complaint from "jesus christ is everyone doing a flashback" because, it is only most of the comics I read which are in flashback mode, including Goblin Hollow and DMFA.... and ironically CVRPG is doing a flash forward in celebration of their 800th comic, which is basically the same thing in reverse.
