Title: Hey Guys
Post by: Rainbow Deluxe on March 11, 2008, 10:40:26 PM
Hey guys, I'm Kat. I've been an avid fan of DMFA for about a year now, I believe. Don't exactly remember where I found the site. Anyway, I'm 19! Wee. It also might take me a while to respond since I'm also an avid poster on WF, but I'll try!

Welcome in! Expect to be barraged with weirdness, unless you're not. :)

Oh don't worry, I'm extremely used to it. Thanks for the welcome though. :]

Hi, I'm Aiyno like the thing above my avatar says.  :B

How would you describe your flammability?

Hi, welcome, sit down, and tell me about your mother.

What, you don't like your mother?

... oh, ok. Let me give you the standard spiel about how things go. Read the rules, be polite, don't spam, don't annoy the mods, watch out for any boxes, also watch out for anyone warning you to watch out for things, as they cannot be trusted and are probably up to something, don't trust that BillBuckner guy, he's constantly lying about things, and any good porn should be delivered to Darkmoon.

Particularly self-portraits.

Oh, and have fun!

I think you'll fit here, you seem to be used to insanity.
Listen to the guy above me, he says good things.... especailly about those boxes and guys who warn you, trust them as far as you can throw them.

Welcome to the Mansion.

Aye-aye cap'n! And yes, I do like my mother. She's a very nice lady. Pisses me off sometimes, but who's mother doesn't?

Welcome to the Mansion.

Hard not to be when you're on forums all day and spend most of your time in RP Chatrooms on AOL. And thanks. I hope to enjoy it here. :]

Multiposts are generally frowned upon... I think.  Edit button is your friend, anyway, but don't worry about deleting posts, because you can't.  If a moderator thinks it's a particular eyesore, they'll use their judgment* and migrate it to the Abandoned Mine.

Come to think of it, I haven't seen BillBuckner lately.  Or Sienna Maiu.  If the latter was around, you'd have been issued an official, one-of-a-kind, perfectly average pointystick by now.

The WWF has a message board?

*Fair judgment, of course.  Dice rolls are fair, right?

Well, thank you for telling me. I didn't know if multi-posting was frowned upon or not considering there's no multiquote button which I'm used to. I'll keep it in mind from now on though.

And I'm not sure if WWF has a message board or not. WF is another forum that I go to (more like sold my soul to), but I don't want to get in trouble for advertising another forum. SO. Change of subject. -changes subject-

How's the weather? >>

Well, sky's black here, but that's normal for this time of night.

There's a difference between mentioning another forum and advertising it, and common sense seems to work really well here.  From what I've heard, if you're getting out of line, the moderators will remind you quietly.

Now, if you take a look below the textbox you're typing in, you'll see the last few posts in the topic, and on the right side of the screen, each one has the words "Insert quote" in little blue letters.  Click it.

Cool, no?

For extra fun, take a look above your textbox.  See the button that says [more]?

Click that, too.  Wait about 3 minutes for the page to fully load.

Bill's been getting around, but Sienna's been hanging out mainly in the chats.

Well, thank you for telling me. I should've done more research before making myself look like someone who's never used a message board before. -shrug- Ah well.

And true, there is a difference. But I've been known to try and skid away from making any mods or admins mad at me, so I also tend to go WAYYY overboard with following the rules. Though, double posting isn't always a good idea. >> Whoops

I approve of you.
It's a little known fact that back in my day, I was quite the pointy stick provider. In the absence of Sienna, I present to you a pointy stick with which you may or may not prod any irritating forum-goers. :3 There are, as always, no guarantees as to its effectiveness.

Usually I use a double-headed coin, but I could use a die, I guess.

Inspired by an old SCA event I went to wherepon the king-for-a-day declared his judgements would be "as fair as whimsy and as something as somethingelse," but I'd forgotten what "something" and "somethingelse" were, so I had to start from scratch.

The proviso, of course, is that a loaded die isn't a fair roll... but you can always load the output conditions.

Of course, who isn't partial to icecream?
