My school has this -ancient- Macintosh Performa 600. It runs still, but it insults you when you turn it on or off. (I haven't caught what the startup message is, but the power-down message is, if I remember correctly "Well why don't you cry about it SADDLEBAGS!"). Aparently, someone changed the sound files (a long time ago), but nobody knows how to un-change them. OS is, I believe, 7.1and most definitely 7.x if not that. Anybody dealt with one of these before? Or at least have an inkling of how to fix it?

i luagh at your frustration, anyways if my dad still had his old power mac then i could probably help, but since my sister sold it (it's about time to) i can't help. :batman *swish* *vanish*
